It’s almost time for E3, arguably the gaming industry’s biggest annual event. E3 is one of my favorite conferences of the year, but unfortunately it’s not a show most of our fans can attend. This year we thought we’d make it a little easier to get a taste of the experience with our new E3 2014 app on PS4.
Through this app you’ll be able to watch our E3 press conference live from the comfort of your couch (or hammock, if you’re really cool). Once we’ve announced everything at the press conference and the show floor opens on June 10th at 12pm PDT, you’ll be able to check out some screenshots and trailers of the games at our booth. You’ll also see some other things we’ll be unveiling, and an overview of our current and future services, like PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now.
This app isn’t just for browsing though — you can also unlock some perks by using the app. To start, there are gold and silver challenges you can complete in the app that will grant you up to 250 Sony Rewards points – these points will be available to unlock until June 24th. You can get other goodies through the app too, including an Amazon Prime 30-day trial and a Music Unlimited 30-day trial. For the early birds out there, during the show we’ll have 6,000 invites per day for the PlayStation Now Private Beta on PS4, starting June 10th at 12pm PDT. Make sure to log in early to secure your invite!
The E3 2014 app for PS4 is available now, so go download it to be ready to go for our press conference on June 9th at 5:45pm PDT. If you’d like to know more specifics, you can check out this FAQ thread on our PlayStation Forums.
Just downloaded and pushed to PS4. Now is there an app that lets me out of work so I can enjoy all of E3?

So basically no E3 booth in the PS Home and no E3 goodies for those us who dared not to buy the PS4 yet. Way to punish your consumers
I live in the US and I can’t download it.
So, I went to the link and added it to my downloads list but when I go to actually download it on the PS4, it says that the purchase can’t be made at this time. Was it something I did?

I want you to know I feel it’s a terrible mistake to be neglecting the PlayStation Home Community’s interest in E3 2014 and the future of PlayStation itself. Are you trying to make the PlayStation 3 console owner feel left behind? I thankfully own ps4 and hope to be impressed by my experience this year using this app. However I am honestly not expecting much. I would have far preferably would have used Home to share the experience with other gamers! And I read the negligence extends to some regions as well..? You’re really dropping the ball on this one Sony! Please Respond

I mean come on! Outside of a wonderfully personally expressive way of meeting new people that are PlayStation Network users. The E3 virtual booth is like the single best use of PlayStation Home! I hope this isn’t the writing on the wall?

I am in CANADA and you CANNOT get the APP,its 2:20pm and I just got off the phone with SONY(the “PS4 EXPERT” was in CENTRAL AMERICA) and couldnt hardly understand what he was saying,but was able to make out the part about “them having problems.This RIGHT HERE is a perfect example of how much SONY cares about the CUSTOMER! Outsourcing jobs out of NORTH AMERICA to save a dollar! I am EXTREMELY fed up with the LACK OF COMMON SENSE,The single greatest improvement they could make is MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS for access to the PSN,this would get rid of all the LAGGING in gaming period and force people to UPGRADE instead of DEPRECIATING THE QUALITY OF THE ENTIRE PSN!

@paul sullivan , seriously paul …. you saw fit to post this here but not on the Home forums ??? i’ve been reading post after negative post of people desparate for E3 on Home info and you haven’t responded once . i try to be a positive influence as much as possible but this is just too much ! y’all really need to start showing us PAYING CUSTOMERS more respect !!! btw , ps4 is an overpriced paperweight . it needs to let us save photos , music and videoes and MOST importantly it needs to add Home ! it’s like a ps3 lite or something .

So i am a subscriber and i cant get this app because i am in Canada?…. explain this to me… why only US… and most likely only US can use the Playstation Now beta ?… explain this to me and the following Canadians that are paying $50 ( US ! ) for this service.
Great, not available in Canada. Streamable on a bunch of websites, no matter where you are in the world, yet a basic app is unavailable in Canada….

The App doesn’t stream E3! What’s going with this playstation http web browser redirect to upstream? It’s not like you can view the show in native full screen it’s blurry and I have to look at the supported languages all on the right side.
I wanted to watch this in HD on the PS4. The feed is so choppy.
This is greeaaat. I waited all day, see about four minutes, and it’s frozen for 15 minutes straight now. WTF made you guys think USTREAM could handle the traffic. “Watch live”, yeah in the the theater or E3 maybe. This and the games getting pushed are seriously making me regret the hell out of even buying a PS4.

The app was complete garbage. Stream locked up about a minute in and refreshing it only would show a frozen frame from the presentation.
Is it the earliest to wake up for PS Now or first to get there after 12:00 Pacific?

Well I watched at least 30 minutes of the conference (not live) but doesn’t mark it on the progress. How are you supposed to check it off the list?
it wasn’t workin during the live event.. now its a replay.. I had to watch through IGN app… smh…

Worst App Ever. I missed the first portion of the conference due to poor or dead streams on my PS4 and PS3 E3 Stream options.
And a link that takes you to a ustream website is not an app. The Live Event App on PS3 looked better than the PS4 version. Nothing looked HD.
Sony had a lot of games to show but none of them were a pleasure to watch through their streaming options. You have to do better or let someone else handle your live events.

The playstation now app still says coming soon…
Can’t download the PlayStation Now beta from the app. It takes me to it, I select download, and it brings me back to the home screen of the PS4. =/
Oh and now it says they’ve been given out. Very crappy app…
It’s not just the PS now app it’s everything that says coming soon.
Same thing happened to me. I got to the download screen like 30 times and then it said they were all out. So frustrating…. I am really unhappy with how this was handled.
Oh and the stream kept crashing last night… so great job guys. Had to watch it on gamespot.

Hi, I went on the app to get a PlayStation now code, it took me to the page to let me download it, but as soon as I pressed it, it went to the main menu (PS Home). Does this mean I already have the code in my e-mail? I kept trying until they were gone. That took 3 minutes. Thanks
