  • @TYruler50

    Ps4 battlefield is $48.
    Ps3 battlefield is $24.
    Both with PS Plus savings.

  • On a more serious note, I just don’t see the justification to upping the price for Canadians. I mean when our dollar was stronger than the US dollar, a couple years ago, we were still paying the same amount for games. Makes even less sense for the Digital versions to cost that much especially when you take manufacturing and shipping costs out of the equation.

Regardless, I guess I’ll pass up on new games for now. Judging by how Sony is handling the Vita situation, doubt this will get addressed any time in the near future either.

  • @51 preach.. but they don’t want to hear that. No no no.. its not true lol

  • Picked up Sports Champions 2 and Entwined this week. Loved Entwined! Check this game out if you guys enjoyed any of Thatgamecompany’s games. Imagine that but with challenging gameplay.

  • @InfectedGypsy
go on the ps4 psn store, battlefield 4 says 35.99 but when you add to cart it says 48.99
I don’t see Sony rushing to fix it just like when they editedt the e3 post to increase the price on GZ.

  • @53 judging by the way you write, I’ll assume you didnt understood what I said. I own 42 vita games, and I NEVER SAID VITA HAS NO GAMES. I said my only complain was that sony keeps pushing indies on IGC. And I also said that I wish I could play more localized japanese titles on vita (this is not a complain is a wish, understand the difference now?).

  • @Myne4life

Canadians have not been paying less for games, ever. Also, it isn’t just $4 dollars, Its $10. Then apply a tax percentage, some as high as 13%. This is recent “change/hike” only effects the video games at retail. Doesn’t effect any other type of media, including CD’s, Music, Blu Rays, DVD’s or standard move ticket pricing. Before telling us, Canadians, to stop belly aching, learn something about the content your commenting on.

    Watch_Dogs PS3- 59.99 @ every retailer
    Watch_Dogs PS4- 69.99 @ every retailer

Please, elaborate some more on this topic. I would really be interested to know what your ideas on this price hike is about.

  • @55 those cost saving go the dev, and were replace with newer cost..and they will still sell it 60$if it AAA title to cover these new cost.. Thats not sony doing. Sony cant make them sell it for less all they can do is have a sale for it. to control cost on the consumer. I dont understand why everyone blame sony for everything. Sony does not control any taxes.

  • well i didn’t want to buy those games anyway thanks greedy ^&%^

  • To all those Canadians thinking they’re being wronged by Sony for the 69.99 price tag, please don’t be ignorant to the fact that it isn’t their fault. It’s the industry/economy in Canada that is causing the MSRP to increase for nearly ALL games. XB1 games are also 69.99, and handheld games, such as 3DS are now being released at 44.99. I think this may be due to the fluctuations of the strength of the Canadian dollar amongst other things.

Yes I’m aware it sucks that it basically costs $80 for a game (which is robbery if you ask me), but complaining to Sony isn’t going to change anything, go protest our government.

Or you could always preorder physical copies at FS/BB before E3 is out and save 20 bucks on each title.

  • @juuichi-11 Wow, even on the Store update you’re still talking about it? Let it go already. Admit it, you and Frodomec are a bunch of losers.

  • mcbuttz78 you defend sony more than its own employees :P

  • protest the government why don’t you just yell into a paper bag

  • @mcbuttz78

Amazon is pricing EVERY SINGLE GAME announced at E3 for 59.99. Sony is charging 69.99 digital. Tell me Sony doesn’t have control on the cost… one… more… time.

  • Nice job showing how adult you guys are about this lol

  • adult about this really?

  • @xFlipperMIA

I already Pre ordered all my stuff on sale from amazon. SOME new games are 64.99 because of the dollars parity. Example, Wii U games. The Vita and 3DS also have a 44.99 price tag now. Now, pay attention because this part gets tricky, PS4 and Xbox 1 are all 69.99, while last gen counter parts are 59.99! See where its starts to get grey?

  • it gets annoying when ps3 games are going for 69

  • Type-0 #NoVitaNoBuy

  • @69 woops i was meaning the people in the comments, not sony

  • still not seeing it card

  • What a shame. They can’t put anything to vita so they ended up reposting the Soul Sacrifice delta?

  • A few more game reviews and Lauftrausers has me interested again.

Guess you got me for this one, beats alot of Nintendo games and Hot Shots Golf and Tennis more than made the difference.

But then agin Pixeljunk Shooter is pretty awesome (Vita).

    PS3 / Vita Forever. Bye Sony :)

  • Really upset the ps move wasn’t better made:(

  • I hoped that Luftrausers might have been patched by the time it went on sale.

If the trophy bug had been patched then I’d have taken it for that price. Shame.

I think I’ll buy Real Boxing though.

  • I understand the Canadian complainers, you guys are getting robbed and I truly feel for you.

What’s annoying me is the Vita spammers. Being a Vita owner myself, I GET IT, WE ALL WANT MORE SUPPORT. But do you realllllllly think spamming here is going to help? No. Your comments will just get deleted after you annoy loads of people.

You want to spam? Spam on Twitter. Spam Sony NA. Make a petition. Do something intelligent to get heard, not spam like 5 year olds on PS Blog, idiots.

  • LOL @ 61

    Now that was funny.

  • well there is one good thing about the increase it will give me a chance to play some of the older games i have

  • Sorry @53

  • Not buying any…lolz

  • For all you Vita haters.

I would sooner give up any other console for it.

  • How is entwined it looks like a cool game but no demo is available:/

Don’t like buying games without trying them first.

Other than that hopefully I can play some destiny this weekend and maybe some sly.

The only nice thing about e3 was little big planet 3 other than that last year to me was wayyyyy better.

  • We are Mobile if we cboose.

  • That is…a lot of Canada-shafting for one Store update!

That mess aside, Entwined’s promise of Cross-Buy is nice (though I won’t even consider buying ’til it actually hits, PS4-less as I am) and…wait, shouldn’t its soundtrack be available for purchase, too? Maybe that’s coming later, as well.

As for sales, just picked up the Sports Champions games to further justify having a Move controller, though I suspect Wii Sports would still be preferred. Also, the Rainbow Moon soundtrack (still deliberating on if I wanna play the game itself; thankfully, demo~!).

And picked up the current IGC offering, though good DAMN, 16 Gig’er. I’ll have to clear some space if I wanna give it a go.

  • And, ATLUS, dear, please, just permanently drop the prices for Persona 4 Arena, its bundle, and the add-ons. This is an embarrassing routing you’ve fallen into, especially with your Ultra Super Arcade Edition 2012 Ver. re-release imminent.

  • still no update regarding Swapper?
“The Swapper Coming to PS3, PS4, PS Vita in May”

  • Just a reminder that I will never, ever, ever pay these ridiculous inflated Canadian prices. I’ll wait for a price drop, thank you very much, and if that happens to mean buying used, I’ll buy used.

  • when did sony control these 3rd party dev and canada cost for products ?. amazon has the game on sale, key word “on sale”?? . sony has it retail.. retail price is done by the dev of the game. Not sony go look at sony on sale prices. It much lower than the retail. Only way ease cost on consumer is sales discounts.

Btw I never have shopped amazon and never will, if you enjoy theire sale practices. then you shouldn’t shun EA and the likes . they are dang worse. 100 time worst.. I find it funny how folks turn blind eye to amazon dirty dealing, but shun everyone else.

  • Oh, yeah! Luftrauser, and TellTales games for me!

By the way, I don’t get pre-order digital games – it’s not like they’re gonna run out of stock or anything, no?

  • I wish I could Pre-Order GTA V since it was announce at E3

  • blame the greedy its easier that way

  • @IGN #NOVITANOBUY LET THEM KNOW!!!

  • @92 Digital preorders are just a way to trick dumb 14 year olds into buying the next First Person Face shooter game before they find out that it’s the exact same game they just played last week, only with a new name.

  • @92 that was something the community ask fo and got day 1 digital . because it would take 1 week to 30 days to get such game digital in the past. it Think it a very good thing huge improvement. of psn.

@70. a lot indie games are good for Igc. they deserve some shine too. if not we would have not known what pay day the heist was. or Miami hotline. etc etc. the majority of japanese games are indie. the atlus games and etc one hard to localize. they taking huge risk with it because alot don’t buy them when they do bring it. Sad but true

  • SONY IS DEAD TO US

    WHERES VITA’s?

    DIE SONY FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    VIVA MICROSOFT

  • Nice press conference with a weak middle but great finish. That said, I was expecting some nice sales on games for PS4 on PSN this week and all we get is a 50% discount on 2 games that were free for Plus members for a while, an 11 dollar savings on 2 EA games with lots of problems and 11 off a game that takes a few hours to finish and didn’t review that well. This would have been a nice time to give a 50 percent off sale on a few launch titles like Killzone, Knack, etc.. but instead PS3 and Vita keep getting lots of nice sales and PS4 users keep getting little to nothing.

  • i don’t plan on preordering its just the 69.99 on games i know i want that is annoying

  • For those trying to justify the Canadian price increases by saying Sony has no control over it, keep in mind that a few months ago, just before the release of Infamous Second Son, Sony increased the price of all their first party titles in Canada to $69.99 along with a bump in the price of the PS4 to $450.

At that time, NO OTHER developer was charging $69.99 for games in Canada for any next-gen platform. Shortly after Sony increased the price of THEIR games, other developers followed their lead. After all, why miss out on that extra $10?

So the next time you think that this isn’t Sony’s fault, remember that they were the ones who increased game prices in Canada and started the trend that resulted in all games on all next gen consoles costing $70 + tax.

Greedy bastards trying to justify a 15% price increase because of an 8% difference in the exchange rate.

Of course, as usual, nobody from Sony will address any of these issues, because they suck at social media, they don’t care and don’t give a crap about customer opinion. All they want is $$$.

I’m disgusted by the whole thing, their greed is incredible.

  • UM, PRICING PROBLEM.

IN ONE SECTION, SPORTS CHAMPIONS 2 IS LISTED AT $2.50….YET DOWN IN THE NEXT BOX, ITS $4.99…SO WHICH IS IT?
