The Drop

With the industry-wide excitement of E3 cooling, we have another list of games coming to the world of PlayStation this week. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark arrives on PS4 and PS3, alongside Valiant Hearts: The Great War.

Celebrating three decades of Transformers greatness, Rise of the Dark Spark features more than forty playable characters across both the single-player campaign and the co-op Escalation mode. The dev team behind Rise of the Dark Spark has made an effort to bridge the generations of Transformers together, linking the worlds of Generation One, the Paramount Pictures films, and also Activision’s Cybertron titles.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft is readying the launch of Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a stylized adventure game for PS4 and PS3. In Valiant Hearts, players witness the intersecting lives, loves, and tragedies of several characters involved in the horror of World War I. See how these stories intertwine, and how brave men and women fought for something larger than themselves.

For a complete list of games coming to PlayStation this week, read on. And enjoy the Drop!

For those who don’t know much about the vita, the vita actually has games just that not really a lot of physical one’s are gonna be found on retailers. Also the Vita barely get games made from the US. Japanese games is what comes much to Sony’s handheld, it’s the same as the PSP it had more JP games than US games.

Here you can check most of the JP games that are coming to the Vita. (along with some that are coming to PS3 as well)

- http://www.gamestop.com/browse/games/ps-vita?nav=28-rp0,13ffff2418-1af-5

Also for the HDN lover’s like me, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 1 is coming to the vita this on 8/26/2014 :D

Everything about this game looks like a downgrade to me.
No competitive multiplayer? I actually liked that!
No High Moon Studios? Now I’m not sure about the quality.
Including Bay’s Transformers? Now it feels like it’d be ruining the Cybertron games to me…

Maybe in a year or two after a price drop or used, but certainly not at launch. Hopefully this game just exists because High Moon is already busy on a true third Cybertron game, and Activision just couldn’t pass on the opportunity for a movie tie-in with Age of Extinction.

Chronophantasma! I’ll be buying it digitally!
I already own it on the PS3 but I need something on the go.
I am so hyped to play and practice Izayoi on the go especially now that a Philippine player won the top spot for BBCP at the SEAM 2014 tourney!

The best part? I get to play with him online! Need to step up my game!

For the PS4, I would like there to be an option to have the library icon all the way on the left instead of the right. Once you have a bunch of digital games and apps, it can be sort of annoying scrolling through all of those. Just seems like there should be an easier way to see your games. I mean this was a problem on the PS3, too.

And with that, the Shin Megami Tensei PS2 releases come to a close. We’ve now got all of the US released titles. I hope this doesn’t mark the end of Atlus’ recent run of titles. They’ve got a lot of PS2 stuff that still needs to come out. Eternal Poison, steambot Chronicles, Rule of Rose (amazing game everyone should play), Dual Hearts, Baroque, Samurai Western, Magna Carta: Tears of Blood. And of course there are some PSOne titles still lacking like Kartia: Word of Fat and oddly enough, the first Persona for some reason. People rally don’t give Atlus credit beyond SMT and they should, Atlus localized some fantastic titles.

Who’re the hoopy froods pushin’ more PSP-native content? ’cause bless ‘em, the dearies. (This coming from someone who was coo’ with such content getting into the IGC.)

Impressed with the amount of Vita content this week, though the two Vita exclusives are…questionable? I’ve never been one for simulators, and while it looks spiffy enough, the last runner outside the mobile standard to’ve hit renown was Runner2, so– Not sure my point, maybe just that this ain’t a show-stopper. Nonetheless, cross-content is good content, since the less users are left without it!

And, ah, there it is, one of the longest video game titles I’ve ever known.

Shin
Megami
Tensei:
Devil
Summoner
2:
Raidou
Kuzunoha
vs.
King
Abaddon

(Add two more lines if we’re going by ATHF:TM:TS pronunciation rules.)

I saw a question of price change of the game The Last of Us remastered, $ 59.99 to $ 49.99, there will be a refund of the difference through a voucher? I hope so, because I have done a pre order a long time and would find it unfair to have such a price difference for the same game!

for those of you asking about the Last of Us Remastered, you should be getting a refund in 5-7 days. I’m not sure how though. I imagine it’ll just be credit

Yes Atelier Rorona Plus, that remake will now complete my Vita Atelier Arland trilogy. Atelier Ayesha Plus is being done next, the one on PS3 was the game that really got me to try this series out. Saw a little from it, and saw a decent little battle system so I was like “hey, this series has some actual gameplay, I’ll get Totori Plus on Vita. I did and first thing was how amazing it looks on Vita, man, people don’t even give respect to the game. It’s one of the cleanest looking games on Vita imo. If only all PS Vita releases had such a clean and sharp look.

PS4 needs Star Ocean game; Star Ocean has been on every PS System up to now so why not PS4? I love to see Star Ocean make its way to PS4 with great storytelling, gameplay, graphics, and maybe online co-op or online battle against friends, 2 vs 2 players like Star Ocean Till The End of Time had with online add-on.

Star Ocean series was my favorite game to play and still to this day. :)

Picking up Blazblue on physical, and will get Farming Simulator physical sometime down the line.

Tell Ubisoft to go ahead and hurry up with Valiant Hearts on Vita and give me another physical copy to import from the UK.
