Can we get any feedback on lbp3 like whether or not you can play with multiple people using sackboys or if we are forced to use other characters because forced characters is kind of a deal breaker.

It will all depend on how the level creator decides to setup their level!

So for example, you could have a level with just Sackboy or any other the other characters available and in multiplayer you could have four Sackboys, four OddSocks or even one of each!

One of our favourite types of level are the ones that involve four Toggles and you have all of these Toggles switching madly between Big Toggle and Little Toggle!

Yesterday, i was finally able to buy the dc comics season pack and it’s really awesome. Levels in lbp vita and lbp 2 are really fun and all materials, music tracks and other stuff is really great. All this items are really useful to create my levels, but Steven, could you please answer this question?:

Will we be able to buy LBP and LBP 2 creation stuff (objects, music tracks, materials, etc) for LBP vita someday?

We’re always looking at bringing new content to LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and currently we’re a bit more focused on bringing brand new and fresh content to the title. (DC Comics, Nightmare Before Christmas, Marvel, etc…)

To add these previous assets to LBP PS Vita (and vice-versa) requires them to be totally hand-crafted from scratch and whilst we would save some time since we can bypass the concepts stage, we generally prefer to spend just that little bit more of extra time and development to bring never before seen content to the title.

If there’s any particular content from any of the LBP titles that you think is really great though, then feel free to let us know since it will give us more feedback to consider for future releases. :)

@1
Look at the E3 videos. That was answered saying you can switch in between and you can still use 4 sackboys etc.

Also I agree with @3
I don’t mind no having the stages but I’d love to have the paintinator, the gravity material etc on the Vita. Those kinda things that are missing are the only things holding LBP Vita back. and I think the menu’s could be alittle more responsive and smooth.

Also speaking of LBP3
It releases Nov. no beta this time around right? Also, please no Dive in trophy. It has always been just completely annoying and not like hard annoying. I don’t mind that cause the Ace trophies are enough of a challenge.
I know the game has 16 layers, but I do hope we can make actual 3D levels like some of the experiments in LBPK and so on

2014 is definitely going to be a very exciting year for Sackboy and friends! :)

Will all of our LBP1 and LBP2 stuff transfer over to the LBP3? Also is LBP3 completely co-op oriented, or will it be like before with some 4 player challenges on some levels? I’m hoping it’ll be like before, because I hardly ever have 3 friends to play with at one time, and just playing single player with character swapping sounds terrible and not fun at all.

You do not need to play multiplayer to complete the main story.

There will be some multiplayer content in the story, much like you will have seen in the previous LittleBigPlanet titles but even though there are three new characters, you will not need to play with anybody else to finish the story.

@4 i never heard or seen anything in any e3 video that said that but i hope your right
@5 yes all lbp and lbp2 stuff will be able to be imported but honestly i wouldn’t be surprised if that feature was messed up for a while after release.

Summer Solstice costume is also up on PSN. I don’t know how long it will be available and this might be the last day to get it.

Search “solstice” in the store to find them.

You know what? I’m gonna say it now.

@PanTheMan16 Nothing you say will EVER make StevenI stop posting these blog posts. Incase you haven’t noticed, these blog posts are more than just DLC. They showcase the most recent happenings in the community as well as the latest Team Picks for LBP2, LBPV and LBPK. Admittedly, everyone probably would’ve seen the new Team Picks by the time these blog posts were published, but still.

Also, you DO know that Mm doesn’t support LBP anymore, right? The last LBP thing they made was The Muppets DLC, IIRC. They’ve moved onto their upcoming PS4 project. Sony just hires the likes Tarsier to create stuff for LBP games, so if anything, your hatred should be directed at Sony.

If you don’t like these blog posts, nobody’s forcing you to read them, so don’t. It’s not rocket science. But if you’re just going to come to these posts and rant about everything related to LBP, then maybe it’s about time you just stopped and questioned what you’re trying to accomplish.

Anyway… Ever since it’s announcement, I’ve been excited for LBP3. I spent a few days working on some concepts for levels which I can’t wait to put into action! To the people who made this fan art, I applaud thee.

Cute fan art. I really hope LBP3 will be good. It’s garnered so much skepticism with it’s multiple characters. I’m skeptical too. The first LBP was my favorite by far. It had great platforming and equally great story-telling. LBP2 felt more like a tech demo. It was constantly like “look what I can do!” with all the new vehicles and gadgets. Don’t get me wrong – the online play was much better, but the offline play in the first game was better to me. LBP3, so far, looks like it’s straying even further from it’s roots. Looks more like a puzzler than a platformer. I’ll probably buy it right away anyway just because it’s LBP (Yes, folks, I DO love LBP, contrary to popular belief). I’ll hold onto my skepticism but reserve my judgement for when I know more or play it myself.

There’s plenty of platforming adventures to be had in LittleBigPlanet 3!

The demo that we showed at E3 was made especially for the show since we wanted to showcase all of the characters and their new special abilities and we only had a few minutes to do so.

More importantly, you will not require four players to finish the main story, so you will be able to play at your own pace and won’t require playing with friends with different character abilities to proceed.

@Chunky104, I didn’t see your post ’til after I posted. But I am happy to see LBP3 mentioned. I will look forward to it. The fan art is great, but as long as Steven has the rights to these LBP Updates, I would prefer it if he could get some real stuff from Mm. New trailers and interviews and whatnot.

I just want to know if my wife will earn trophies as I do when playing. The biggest problem I have with the PS4 right now is that this isn’t forced for EVERY game. Thank you.

We haven’t locked down the Trophies for LittleBigPlanet 3 yet so I can’t clarify anything 100% just yet.

However LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2 used distinct user profiles (which we will still use in LBP3) that tracked your progress even when you weren’t the host of the session.

Then upon loading up your user profile later whilst under your own PSN account, you would be awarded any Trophies that you had earned whilst completing achievements in the other game session such as acing certain levels or collecting all of the prize bubbles.

Can we say Hub turned out to be LBP3?

LittleBigPlanet HUB and LittleBigPlanet 3 are two very different things.

For the time-being though, we’re really focusing all of our efforts in bringing LittleBigPlanet 3 to the PlayStation 4 and making it the best ever LBP experience that we can!

@PanTheMan16 Well, at least you understand. Since LBP3 was finally announced at E3, we should be getting more news about it as weeks go by. Glad it’s coming for PS3 too, I thought it would be a PS4 exclusive so I would have to miss out. Don’t think I’ll be able to afford a PS4 by the time it releases.

Also, love the fan art by the way. Very well creative.

Definitely will be getting this game when it launches. Probably Day 1.

But I have to ask now. Since I’m getting the PS4 version will everything I have on LBP2 (costumes, data, etc.) transfer on to LBP3? By some kind of update or download to free from the PS Store?

I really need clarification on how this is going to work between the 2 consoles.

i love’d lbp for the vita, untill one day it completely didn’t let me use the game. it said your data is corrupt. it said press continue but if you press continue all your levels that are saved into your moon will be erase. There was no other way i could of avoided that.I lost my level that i took forever to create. If there’s ever a lb2 or psvita 2 i really wish you guys fix all those lagging, freezing, data corruption problems for the vita and lb. Because i really want to get back playing the ps vita.
