Since the weekly Plus posts are gone, we aren’t getting a heads up on sales any more. This was kind of a pain last week since Canada Day fell on a Tuesday, so it was tricky going out to get a PSN card to buy stuff from the summer sale.
Any way we can still get the weekly Plus posts, but shift the focus to upcoming sales that week? I think everyone would appreciate it.
It’s not just the Plus post(s) that have disappeared.
The Sales posts we use to get also seem to be gone (or just forgotten during last week’s laziness).
First summer sale week we got a post about what would be on sale, and we got it on the Monday so we could plan what to buy.
Second week, even though Canada day was the 1st (Tuesday) for some reason they decided it was the perfect week to abandon the summer sale/weekly sale Monday post as well.
I was waiting for the Monday post to decide whether to buy several summer sale games from week one or get something from week two.
Medium story short, if Sony still did the weekly sale and/or plus post, I would have spent another 50 or more on week one sales, instead I spent nothing. Sony got no money. Doesn’t sound good for business.
I can’t believe the lack of interest in “another world”. I can’t say how well it holds up to today’s standards but this game was as close to a movie as a game could be in the early 90s. I remember playing it when it was “out of this world”, but it was nothing short of amazing. It’s a trial and error game where death is permanent, you learn as you go. I suggest any newcomers to not use a strategy guide and try to enjoy the game for what it was intended, the guide will surely kill any bit of suprise or depth the game possesses.
Needless to say I’ll be picking this up, just to see how well the revamping livens up this classic video game.

@willnurspiele Suikoden II was submitted by Sony to ESRB around the time they submitted Bust-A-Move 4, but Suikoden II had very irresponsible handling. People are contracted not to tell why their company screwed up, but there are two theories: either the submission had an error because it didn’t feature PSP and PS Vita as platforms or the playtester didn’t like Suikoden II’s retro translation (it has some minor bugs and a few garbled text boxes that don’t mean anything for the players, especially since games like FFVII also feature bad translations from the same era).

Ok. When is the Ratchet & Clank collection for the Vita going to be released? Europe already got it it seems, and absolutely no word at all from Sony about any american release date. Seriously, what the heck is going on? It was barely mentionned in a past E3 post, as what looked like a small endnote of no importance with a loose “this July” for release date, while it was featured prominently on the European PS blog.
We don’t have any information about it. Will this be released physically in-store or will this be download only? It doesn’t look good that SCEA never gave a release date. Will it be cross-buy? Makes it look like the Sony’s different arms don’t even speak with each other, and it looks very unprofessional.
But then again, it’s only the Vita. So it’s not really important, is it?

Well, they’re already releasing announced games in europe and australia and leaving all their american customers in the dark about american releases. I guess not informing anyone about sales is part of the same policy about not giving any information that matters to customers.

Duke Nukem 3D, Atomic Edition for the Vita has been submitted for approval to Sony by Devolver Digital some time ago. But since Sony is SOOOOOOO good at communicating with their customers, no one knows about this unless they’re following Devolver Digital on Twitter.

No news, no annoucement, no release date, no nothing. Like the Ratchet & Clank collection for Vita. They said in one of their E3 post it’ll be ready this July, and then…. silence. It has been released everywhere, apparently, except in america. One of their biggest franchise… and not a single word. Wow.
Tetris gets a release on the Vita, which is probably more interesting than most indies they showed for the system at E3. Guess what they talked about on stage???
I’m starting to think they do that on purpose. I mean, no one could unwillingly or accidentally mess up their communication strategy like this.
@29 Drew_Craft – Do u even own a Vita bro..? The Sly Collection runs like a dream.. not laggy, highly rated, and an overall great port. The GoW Collection runs very well and Borderlands 2 on my Vita isn’t anymore laggy than the PS3 version, honestly the PS3 version of BL2 runs pretty poorly and is glitchy as heck.. i don’t think the Vita version is any worse and imho it’s quite an achievement to make such a large AAA game look and play that good on a handheld.
Loving my Vita that I just got, but this week is pretty weak. Hoping for some good stuff next week. Thanks for the list Ryan. Miss ya on Podcast Beyond!
Why can’t we at least get an update every monday showing the sales like we used to? It’s very annoying not knowing what the sales will be and now i’m unsure whether or not i should buy Thief (PS4) @ 26.99 because the purchase is largely predicated on what the sales are tomorrow – needless to say the Thief sale will be gone tomorrow. P.S. I’m yet another person who desperately wants the Ratchet Collection (Vita) and would’ve easily payed 40$ not 30 had it been released in the U.S. by now.. and u will wonder y the game doesn’t sell?
Put outlast : whistleblower on sale tommorrow!!! and you guys should seriously announce the sales a couple days before. you would get more revenue. It makes me mad I have to wait for the store to update tuesday afternoon just to see what the current PS plus and other deals are. and it pisses me off further when the sales are underwhelming. and I have digital currency just sitting in my account, waiting for something decent to go on deal. IE me and outlast, didnt have a ps4 nor plus when it was free, waited a couple weeks for it to go on sale and nothing, so I bit the bullet.
Kind of sucks, Wished they did more deals, the only deal I gotten for my ps4 is NBA 2k14 and it was my first game. and ive has my ps for about a month now. figured id have a couple games, save for flower and outlast
@97 – That sucks that u didn’t get your PS4 until after they changed the ps + policy (about a month ago) u would’ve had a plethora of free games to play. As a long time multi-console owner i have found Sony to be the least greedy (by far) and they actually do listen to their customers so i wouldn’t jump to conclusions, but i have also thought about how not posting the sales could be a ploy to get more $. Btw, Thief was made by a talented company and it isn’t a bad game. Also, i strongly suggest u get a VITA to go w/your PS4.

Not to beat a dead horse, but where are the sale updates? We’ve gotten no correspondence on the subject for two weeks now. Between the lackluster offerings for PS+ the last few months, the terrible sales and the all around failure to communicate with customers, I’m beginning to regret switching to Playstation. It’s starting to feel like Xbox Live all over again.
