The Drop: New PlayStation Games for 8/26/2014
The Drop

Thank you for your patience this weekend, and enjoy the belated Drop!

The smoke-slinging Delsin Rowe made a huge impact on Seattle during his quest for vengeance in inFAMOUS Second Son. But he wasn’t the only Conduit stirring up trouble for the DUP. Abigail “Fetch” Walker leveled her own deadly talents against those that wronged her, and her story continues in inFAMOUS First Light.

First Light hits PS4 this week as a standalone download from PlayStation Store. In it, players can explore Fetch’s tragic past and her weaponization at the hands of the Department of Unified Protection. This means even more neon abilities, new ways to traverse Seattle, and more insight into what makes Fetch so incredibly badass.

Of course, that’s just one game coming to PlayStation this week. Read on for a complete list of new releases, and enjoy the Drop!

  • Where’s Metro: Redux? I don’t see it on PSN.

  • Where is the full list of add-on content being released?

  • When will Metro Redux be available on the PlayStation Store? I can’t wait to play it.

  • @94 – I agree, and you make some valid points. I think it comes down to different business perspectives.
Sony would rather keep the DLC full price, and sell less copies at more of a profit each. But it’s hard to pay full price for DLC on a PS+ game when I’ll lose all access to the game and paid DLC if my subscription lapses.

There’s no denying the massive, crushing success of the Steam store. Non-stop sales and discounts have people buying more games than they can ever play. My Steam games list has almost 200 games. I’ll never play half of them.

It’s much more tempting to buy 6 games on sale at $10 each, than one game at $60. I might not ever play all of those 6 games, but the developers all made a small profit off of me. A smaller piece of the pie is better than no piece, right?

There’s a reason Gabe Newell is a billionaire. The man is a genius. He has us all buying more games on sale than we can ever play. It’s compulsive, or impulsive, shopping for game geeks. I don’t think Sony full understands that. But they’re getting better with the flash sales. They might be opening their eyes finally. I hope so, and think it’s a good thing.

  • It’s 3 pm eastern time, and Metro Redux is still not here. What the hell Sony?

  • hurry up store update!!!!

  • new to this digital sutff… im waiting for metro redux… people are saying to wait for store to update… ok but will i have to do this for future games like destiny or shadow of mordor?

  • Where is the golf club everything else is up.

  • When can we pre-order GTA V from the PS Store? Will it also support pre-loading?

  • HOW DO I GET THE NHL 15 DEMO FOR MY PS4!?!?!?!

  • it says madden 15 demo… is that a mistake

  • Well I’m glad I finally finished walking dead part 4 yesterday So I can finish it as soon as it’s done DLing. I’m kinda sad iit’s gonna be over now, I hope Clem survives as I’ve grown quite fond of her over the last 2 years. But I know someone I like is going to die , thats just the way it goes. I really wish Sept 30 would hurry up and get here so I can start exploring Mordor, it’ll really help me pass the time till October 28th when I finally will visit Paris for the first time, I’m so excited to be traveling with friends there. But I really can’t wait for Moving to New York and starting my new life there as ummm a community organizer, and getting the Big Apple back on track as an Agent of the Division.
