If you didn’t catch our post in April, we’re celebrating 30 years of making awesome games this year. September happens to be the actual month of our anniversary. To kick off festivities a little early, we’re heading to PAX Prime this week. First off is a panel from two of our game designers, Doug Holder and Anthony Newman, alongside friends at Sucker Punch Productions and Respawn, which explores AAA Combat: Behind the Scenes. Details about the panel, which will be held Saturday, August 30th at 4:30 PM Pacific, can be found on the PAX Prime website.
Our second PAX panel features our Web Designer, Lily Nishita, and covers a topic many of you will find very elucidating. Head to the Game-Changers: Making Mid-Career Transitions & Awesome Games panel happening Sunday, August 31th at 11:30 AM Pacific to learn tips about how to break into the game industry!
While at PAX you can score some cool Naughty Dog merchandise when you visit We Love Fine (Booth #7511) and Dark Horse (Booth Sky 10). Dark Horse will be selling The Art of The Last of Us and a limited edition version of The Last of Us: American Dreams graphic novel along with other items. We Love Fine will have booth space dedicated to a selection of their unique The Last of Us apparel, including a PAX Prime exclusive t-shirt design. Be sure to drop by to grab these items while they are still in stock.
Also mentioned in April, in partnership with Dark Horse Comics, we’ve compiled an art book to celebrate our history. We enjoyed it so much we went ahead and created a Limited Edition run of 2,000 copies of the art book.
The Art of Naughty Dog Limited Edition includes a clamshell case with die-cut, red foil paw design, a black, faux leather version of the art book with red cloth bookmark, and two, gate-fold folios featuring four lithographs of our art and two lithographs of fan art. It retails for $99 dollars and pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a beauty. The Limited Edition Art Book will be available exclusively this September during our 30 year anniversary celebration art show at Gallery Nucleus. If you want to be among the first 100 people to own the limited edition art book, you’ll have to be there. We’ll have more specifics on the art show in the coming weeks.
If you can’t make it to PAX or the Los Angeles art show and are wondering where you’ll be able to get The Art of Naughty Dog Limited Edition, or some of the other awesome merch noted here, don’t fret. We have a big, upcoming announcement in conjunction with Treehouse Brand Stores that you won’t want to miss.
Hope to see you in Seattle! Get the latest by following our social channels for 30th anniversary news throughout the month of September.
