For those looking for the ultimate Minecraft experience, the PS4 Edition will feature worlds 36 times bigger than the ones you might be used to on the PS3 system. Existing players will be able to import PS3 saves to the PS4 Edition, allowing them to continue work on their immense structure or delve even deeper towards the Nether.
Staying true to our promise, we wanted to make sure that anyone who previously bought the PS3 Edition (Disc or Digital) would be able to upgrade to PS4 Edition for a small fee.
Well, we’re happy to officially announce the upgrade option is available to any existing PS3 Edition owners for just $4.99!

On the PS4, simply log into PlayStation Store and find Minecraft PS4 Edition, and you’ll be able purchase the upgrade for $4.99.
Note: This entitlement applies to everyone who’s bought Minecraft PS3 Edition (Disc or Digitally) with a saved game and signed into their PS4 console using the same SEN account.

Good news, glad to hear it….
But before I shell out more money to either upgrade my ps3 version to my ps4 or just buy the new version in addition can you guys let us know about these patches that are supposed to be happening… To make the playstation version more comparable to the PC, or does the ps4 version have more items to create than the ps3 one? And if so when is the ps3 version getting it’s update?
You know… Horses, themes, ect.
can i play this game offline or there is no such mode ?
+unclesam0407 yea there is an offline mode if you want to play that. You can play solo or do couch split screen co-op as well.
To everyone whining that it’s not on the store yet, they said 12 pm Pacific. It’s just after 10 am Pacific, so just be patient. We don’t have anything to gripe about for two more hours.

Yay, it took my money but the game isn’t added to my library. That’s what I get for trying to buy it like the second it’s available I guess.

Glad to see I’m not the only one that got the error. I paid for my $5 upgrade for Minecraft PS4 version and I wasn’t able to download it yet my wallet still got charged the $5.

Yeah, also when I try to open the My Library app to check it says I have zero games. Is the network really getting that hammered by the game release? I don’t want to think about what happens next week with Destiny.

Same took my money but I can’t download the game.
I looked it up, found it, and I purchased the game, several texture packs and a skin pack. My money was taken, but I got a message that simply said “error”. I looked in my library to no avail. I tested to see if I could try to download from the store, when I added it to my cart it said the item was not available for purchase. So what is going on? Some people have it and are playing it, so why are some of us having issues?

The store has once again crashed due to the massive influx of players attempting to download and play.
Somehow a code for Minecraft PS3 was redeemed on my account sometime in the night, I was going through my download list and at the top was Minecraft. I have the disc version and I did not redeem any codes today… it says it was promotion code (free) and showed the code that was used to redeem. ?
I tried to buy it gave me an error but was charges and it still asks if I want to buy it????????? it was not ready for release it seems.
Can we get some sort of a response please?

cant buy a game at the store anymore without it needing to download a patch to even work properly. Guess people without internet shouldn’t game these days.
I was able to purchase it in North America before the massive influx of players. Now it is telling me I require a membership to play online:
“PlayStation Plus is required in order to access online multiplayer.”
The system must be overloaded with people. It worked up until now.

Well I was number 278 in the queue for talking to someone. It said the estimated wait time was 10 minutes, now 15 minutes later, I am number 217 lol. I’ll stay waiting.

Same problem. Bought $5 PS4 upgrade & 2 DLC packs, got charged, got nothing + nothing in my library or transaction history. Called Sony but there’s a 50 min. wait time. I want what I paid for Sony. Get your **** together. This type of bs shouldn’t be happening on your next-gen sysrem.
Same here I bought it for $4.99 after waiting for this game for so Long and the store took my money did not give me the game and I got the error code they even sent me an email saying thanks for the money I gave them for Free Apparently just great……. fix this please
I know this is frustrating but if the system sent you the receipts for the transaction then eventually you will get your 5 bucks back or the game. I usually never complain about PSN but this is just ridiculous. I’m not getting destiny at launch but I feel sorry for the ones that do if this happens then.

I’m just wondering why we are supposed to pay for plus for the ‘improved network’ when it seemingly is not improved. I love my PS4 but between this and a bunch of Tweens being able to DDoS the network down for an entire day….. Its not very confidence inspiring.

The game is currently showing as available to purchase on the PS Store.
When I purchased the game, I had a total of $11.68 in my wallet. The $4.99 for the upgrade was deducted from my wallet, but then a message came up saying that “an error occurred.” The game, therefore, did not download, and the $4.99 was never refunded to my wallet, leaving me with a current wallet total of $6.69.
Now when I go to at least try to download the demo, it tells me “We’re sorry, this product cannot be purchased at this time.”
How can I go about getting the $4.99 refunded to my wallet until the Minecraft upgrade is able to be purchased?
I also bought Minecraft for 4.99. It took my money and gave me an error. I don’t have the game and my library says 0. Sony better give me a refund.
I hope we don’t get some generic response here. Like Darksider71, I usually never complain, but all this just seems a tad ridiculous. How many millions bought the PS3 version, and did you not expect those same millions to want the upgrade? Some times you have to wonder who’s in charge.

I don’t think anyone honestly thinks they won’t make it right. It just that you shouldn’t go from excited to play a digital game you were about to buy to waiting on hold for a hour for tech support while Sony will not even acknowledge there is a problem here. It’s also funny that out of all the broken aspects of this scenario, the one part that worked successfully was the part where they took everyone’s money.
Well…. I purchased the game. I have a receipt in my email sent from SONY. But….. I got an error and now it is asking me to purchase the game again. ALSO… whe I go to my library there isn’t a single game showing up… PLEASE HELP…. Oh and now I turned off the PS4 and turned it back on it says that PSN is undergoing maintenance… Let’s hope this gets taken care of soon!!!!!
