For those looking for the ultimate Minecraft experience, the PS4 Edition will feature worlds 36 times bigger than the ones you might be used to on the PS3 system. Existing players will be able to import PS3 saves to the PS4 Edition, allowing them to continue work on their immense structure or delve even deeper towards the Nether.

I love Playstation and my ps4, but sometimes this online network is a joke. Last week I was double charged for Metro, had to get my bank to dispute and refund my money because Sony rep said the purchase wasn’t in their system as it was a server error. And now, I can’t get any info or replies anywhere about my Minecraft ps3 saves for ps4 discount. Fix this network!
How do I transfer the saves from the PS3 ? There’s no option in the PS3-menues to upload the saves… Saving to the online storage doen’t work either…

The images of the game are misleading. Some of them show cats and horses, and I just downloaded the ps4 version and it is still in 1.6 version! I thougth the ps4 version will be better.

I have a physical copy of this game, but did not get any entitlement to the upgrade price. My nephew, who has been playing on my console on another account actually did get the entitlement but I didn’t want to buy it using his account (because he eventually have his own PS4 and that might lead to activation issues later). Contacted support and was advised that they are not able to get me the upgrade price because I lost the receipt for a game I bought months ago. This whole thing is more trouble than it is worth and has put me off getting the game or even playing the disc I already paid for.

Ok, because no one from Playstation will explain why the disc upgrade isn’t working, I will. I am in the same boat as a lot of people. Sony now claims you had to of bought the game before August 8th for it to qualify. (The European site says August 28th). The problem is NOWHERE on the US site does it say this. The codes are only in the older run of the PS3 game. If you go out and buy it now chances are there is NO code. You have to call customer service and tell them it never stated you needed to of bought the disk before August 8th (because it doesn’t) and they will make you email them a copy of your receipt. I am still waiting for the return email with a code that will let you upgrade. I hope this helps.

I bought 3 copies of this game, for my daughter and her friends, but I was saving them to give to her on her birthday. I never opened the game, but after hearing of this promo, I opened up a copy and put it in the ps3. It is not giving me any option to upgrade. I suppose it is because I didn’t have any save or trophy data prior to August 5th. So I went to ps sony us support chat and Karen was trying to help me. I sent her 2 screen captures of my receipts from July and she keeps saying that she can’t give me a free version of Minecraft ps3 digital. I keep telling her I already own the game, I just need a voucher code that I wasn’t given, and that the easiest way would be a Minecraft ps3 digital code. She keeps saying that the promo doesn’t work like that and it will give me the vita version cross buy when released and 4.99 upgrade automatically. This is beyond infuriating, especially since I legitly bought multiple copies of the game before August 5th. I know I shouldn’t be buying my daughter bday presents so earler, but am I out of luck for not getting the upgrades and not getting the vouchers. ugh

I recently (today) purchased a ps4 using GameStop’s trade up to ps4 promo. And I just heard that Minecraft got released on it! I purchased the PS3 version (and the PC version), and I have trophy data linked to my account, but I didn’t bring any saves over from my PS3, as it’s with GameStop now. Is there any way I can get the upgrade, or do I have to but it outright?

Just wondering if there has been anymore news on when the hard copy of PS4 Minecraft will be released. All I can find is info about the digital release, any info would be appreciated as if its not until Christmas I will just drop my PS4 order. I stupidly bought a Minecraft bundle and don’t get it until the sum of the all the bundle is released so wont get it until Minecraft is released as its the last piece of the puzzle, (the whole last bit was not necessary but just in case some troll took it as me threating Sony).
I can confirm what AdvancedArcade said. If you’ve purchased the disc version of Minecraft on the PS3 recently, it won’t come with a code. I’ve sent them a copy of my receipt and I’m waiting for it. They said it will take up to 5 business days, which is BS. So if you bought the disc version, take a picture of the receipt and get on the live chat asap.
@ILivedInAUterus: I don’t know exactly, but I’ve heard that the physical copy of PS4 Minecraft may not be out until sometime in December.

@ILivedInAUterus: at this point (and maybe given that MS will soon own Minecraft) I think I’d change the bundle. It’d be better to have the game now and be playing it, just in case.
@+ CoD_HeAdShOt_PrO: yes, you definitely need PS Plus to play it online. I don’t think it’s gonna work without it.
@+ Rachet2096: Nope. I’ve read where the servers between the PS3 and PS4 versions are different, so you probably won’t be able to.
On a lighter note, I did actually receive my code today to get the discounted upgrade to the PS4 version. 3 business days (not counting the day I submitted the request) and it actually worked! Quicker than I expected, even though it could’ve happened sooner.
I live in the Uk and I can’t get a discount on the game, I bought it in may and it’s on disc, I logged in my Ps4 and Searched it, It won’t give me the 2.99 discount, how can I resolve this problem?
