Which Wheels Work with Driveclub?
Update: We know many of you were looking forward to playing the promised PS Plus Edition and we are truly sorry for the delay. Our first priority is to provide you with the best possible experience while playing DRIVECLUB. With the high volume of new players and additional server load the PS Plus Edition is anticipated to bring, we are currently not confident that we can guarantee the best online experience. Until we can ensure that everyone can enjoy the full social connected online experience, we will be postponing the release of the PS Plus Edition until further notice.

For a while now, racing fans have been asking for details on which wheels Driveclub will support when it hits stores on October 7th. That time has finally come!

Our goal is to bring out the racer in everyone – so we’ve worked hard to make the driving fun and challenging for you, not only on DualShock 4 but also on all of the wheels currently compatible with PS4.

We’ve been working really closely with Thrustmaster on their new T80 & T300RS wheels, to make sure that they’re perfectly tuned for Driveclub and PS4. Who doesn’t love to lock their thumbs into a good racing wheel and get lost in the moment, believing that they’re pro drivers?!

In fact, we’ve actually spent time with pro drivers recently and we got to see what they could do behind the wheel of a Thrustmater T300RS in DRIVECLUB! It was epic to see Sebastian Loeb acing almost every corner of an epic downhill point-to-point route set in Canada and naturally set one of the fastest lap times we’ve ever seen – on his first go.

We hope to support more from Thrustmaster and other providers, as more wheels hit the shelves for PS4. We can’t wait for you all to get your hands on it and we’ll see you all on the track on October 7th.

  • so are PS plus people getting this free finally? or do we gotta pay for the game?

  • where is the PS Plus line up for October?

  • We. Need. Logitech.

  • And what about the driving force gt ?

  • Please, Driving Force GT and other Logitech wheels support!

  • we were supposed to get support for our Logitech wheels, this sucks!

  • None of Logitech’s models will be supported? This is sucks! :(

  • Sorry guys, no G27 support on PS4 means I won’t be buying your game or any other PS4 racer for that matter.. It’s a real shame because this game looks great.

    • We can’t support other wheels unless they’re compatible with PS4 :(

Hope you can check out the game with your DS4 or with a supported wheel in the mean time!

  • G27 please

  • No G27 make’s me sad. Looks like it’s the PS+ version for me. I don’t like playing driving sims with the controller and I’m not dropping another $200+ on a new wheel.

  • Really? No G27 support? These wheels are sometimes more expensive than the console itself and should absolutely be compatible. This needs to be addressed as it is completely unacceptable.

  • Yeah seriously support the Driving Force GT!

  • Still disappointed that plus members are getting half a game. Drive club is looking promising but I don’t think I would drop cash to pick it up day 1.

  • Logitech Driving Force GT please.

  • no support for Logitech, not buying… is that easy =)

  • Really disappointed this doesn’t support what is arguably the most popular wheel.

  • Honestly, the game looks beyond lovely but if I wouldnt get the game for free from a friend in return for a favor, I would show it the middle finger. Logitech support or GTFO!

  • •Thurstmaster T500*

    Yes the Thurstmaster

an amusing typo, but it sounds like you guys are going all in on one brand of wheel which is unfortunate.

perhaps you should elaborate on what “+others TBC from Evo” means.

I’ll try the “india ps+ deluxe demo” but honestly wheel support doesn’t sell me one way or the other, it’s really too bad this was delayed almost a year, frankly it’s just people starved of a new gen racer on ps4 that even have this on their radar.

I hope that I am impressed with the game when I try it out, but I will tell you one thing right now.

Paying for a full game with 50 cars or so, and then having to buy a season pass for another $25 or in essence getting the stripped down version puts me off of buying it at all.

There is a point where people just don’t want to get nickel and dimed. 69.99 + 24.99 in Canada, is too much for everyone but the most ardent racing devotee, and those are likely playing gt6 and or forza so you’re going to see a lot of people just play your plus demo and leave it at that.

  • Another vote here for the Logitech GT.

Nothing personal, but I’m going to be looking for some holiday deals on GT6 in the next couple of months. I know it’s not easy or possible to provide support for all of them, but these wheels are expensive and big, and I have to feel like they’re worth the trouble! :D

Half a game is some wishful thinking.

You get a “vertical slice” the one they feel has the best chance of selling you on the whole game + season pass. More like 1/5th or 1/6th of the game from what has been announced, if it is even that. This would have been cool if it wasn’t misrepresented when they originally announced what they were offering.

But I will play it and see what I think for myself before passing a final judgment. It has promise just how much we’ll see.
If they wanted to sell the thing, they should have offered the Plus thing a week before launch and they would get a boost in + subs and also some potential sales from those impressed with the “+demo”

Good luck with the launch, I hope it is an amazing game but I won’t be surprised if it is average after the troubled development.

  • OMG.
And I get grief about supposedly being “selfish and spoiled” over wanting better PSP and Vita sales.

    Hilarious……Really.

  • I’m not a very competitive person, so I don’t need the wheel support. However the more models that are supported (especially the popular ones is definitely a strong point to show how accommodating this game is. So I hope you continue to add more support to wheel brands and models. Either ways I am buying this game when it comes out. Decided I’d rather experience the entire game and jump in to the experience that Drive club offers. Been excited for this game all year long.

  • Whatever happened to Col Rodgers claiming all PS3 wheels would work with this game? Did that support leave with him?

  • Driving Force GT Please? I wont be buying a new wheel for this game so additional support would be great.

  • Competition steering wheels.
    Lol, what a Riot.

Make sure you stop by Taco Bell on your way home to complain some underpaid and unappreciated person got your order wrong.

  • No Logitech GT support is no buy for me. You guys are losing your core audience. wake up.

  • So you’re basically telling racing fans to get every multiplat racing on pc and to not buy the ps4 racing exclusives with the lack of support that was previously announced for driving wheels? Hint taken.

  • I’m guessing none of you were aware your Logitech wheel isn’t supported on the PS4 at all, let alone in Driveclub.

According to Logitech they’re missing a necessary security chip, so they’ll only function for about 8 minutes before disconnecting from the system.

This was a mistake on Logitech’s part, not Sony’s or Evolution’s.

So if you want to use a wheel, you will have to buy a new one.

  • @djsaiyan I would agree with you if it wasn’t previously announced that every sterring wheel that worked on ps3 would work on ps4.

  • @29

Read what I said again. Then go read Logitech’s statement on the matter.

    Logitech screwed up.

Also the exact statement is that every PS3 wheel that works on the PS4 would be supported.

THE G27 DOES NOT WORK ON THE PS4.

  • No G27, no game, it’s that simple .

I read about a “security requirement” not available on the G27, you gotta be kidding me!

  • @skeetklejuice did u seriously expect a full 60 dollar game with plus day one? Please unrealistic expectations.

  • Logitech or sony, don’t care who is to blame but customers are getting the shaft.

  • Rezolution77

    OMG.
And I get grief about supposedly being “selfish and spoiled” over wanting better PSP and Vita sales.

    Hilarious……Really.

Yeah because your obscure nis psp sale requests and other things that sell in the single units is something they should put on sale. There are plenty of Vita sales, maybe you just don’t check on a weekly basis to realize.

    Competition steering wheels.
    Lol, what a Riot.

Your missing the boat here, people invest $100-300 on a wheel or a fighting stick. People don’t want to have to buy a new wheel for one game, or realize the one they bought is not being supported.

As for what was promised for this game, it has changed significantly. That is fact, that is a reason to say hey WTF? especially considering the game is 11 months late.

There are 2 exclusives this fall. year late drive club, which had modest buzz as a launch game, now almost none, and LBP 3 not developed by Media Molecule.

Why don’t you comment on the game, not other posters supposed entitlement, or go back to whining about your obscure psp games on the store update page like you usually do.

  • @djsaiyan

Well sony said it was a driver issue and that if the game developer wanted to develop his own drivers they could.

  • Not supporting wheels 90 percent of customers own. Good job k
Last business I ever do with logitech.

  • Is this one of those “these are the supported wheels but others will work to some degree,” or “no other wheels will work”? If they will work to some degree … to what degree?

I have a Fanatec GT3RS V2 and a Logitech DFGT, and it is unlikely I’ll buy another wheel for this game. And it is unlikely I will play this game without a wheel.

Please explain what you mean by “work with PS4.”

  • + mastorofpuppetz

@skeetklejuice did u seriously expect a full 60 dollar game with plus day one? Please unrealistic expectations.

you’re missing the point, I didn’t expect a full game. I was commenting on someone else’s erroneous expectation of “half a game”

I was pointing out what was originally promised.

Am I fine with the “PS+ edition of driveclub” sure I will play it, I am excited to try it out. I never expected a full game. But perhaps many of you don’t follow games closely, or watch e3 or read the articles from developers.

I didn’t even have to go far, they announced this stuff on the blog.

I will play the demo, will I plunk down $69.99 + the season pass I doubt it, I have waited a year, I can wait even more for the free plus version (the real free one) or get it on sale for $20 like killzone or whatever else. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this not do well critically, and if that is the case, it will be on sale sooner than later.

Sony is just lucky to have some good multiplats to cover over their glaring delay filled holiday.

  • When can we expect to order the Thrustmaster T300RS?

And shouldn’t “+others TBC from Evo”

Shouldn’t it be TBA = “To Be Announced”

    And what day is Evo?

Can’t wait to play DriveClub next Tuesday

  • Bull.
Logitech wheels…all of them; blow that Thrustmaster garbage out of the water.

Sony really dropped the ball here.
You’ve got an exclusive that was pushed back a year,
and another big release around the corner; and you couldn’t work something out with Logitech?

    Really, really weak.
This is the first big **** up in my opinion for the PS4….but it is a HUGE one.

A LOT of SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED PEOPLE…

  • nademinogue, free for Playstation Plus is a lie. While it may be “free” You only get India region, and about 10 cars and tracks. The full game is 5-6 regions with over 50 cars and tracks. Dont let them fool you into thinking you are getting the full game. You would think that after a year delayed, Playstation would do the right thing and give the Plus members the FULL game for free.

  • I have to add my voice to the rabble. I bought a logitech driving force gt. It was expensive! Please petition Sony & Logitech to work this out!!!

    P.S. Rabble rabble rabble!

  • Contact Logitech about it.

  • @34 Skeetle.

Why don’t you just deal with it, like you expect everyone else to do.

Was just observing the complaint size over a topic lke this, and yet it being unfathomable about requests for a device more widely purchased and owned (Vita) than your “whining” about the device you use (steering wheel).

    Ironic……No?

  • They made it clear at e3 2013 the plus version was not the same as retail.

  • Lmao at people saying the full game should be free. Ridiculously stupid. Get real sony is not a charity. Get your expectations a shake

  • But I don’t understand.

Lol, just full of laughs today.

  • Another blow to a very troubled game. Plus demo for me, just to see the graphics.

  • No Logitech Driving Force GT, no Driveclub for me.

  • It’s a pity that the Logitech wheels are not supported. I bought a GT Driving Force recently because I thought that it would carry on to Sony’s next generation, being the official wheel of a long-time Playstation exclusive and all.

To the Driveclub devs, I know it’s not your fault. I’m sure you want Logitech support as much as we do, but I won’t buy this game or any other realistic racer until Sony adds support. I don’t want to buy another driving wheel, these things are expensive and take up space.
