not a spoiled gamer, just an avid consumer. I’ve got most of the titles. And recently bought a ps4 and a few games. But I was expecting something that wasn’t on sale many times befor (for lower prices, either).
I guess global economy is in deed going down the drain.

I’m going to go ahead and grab Hatsune Miku: Project Diva (PS Vita) despite my better judgment. I swear if its winds up free for PS+ in a month or 2 I will never buy another game on sale. You do that crap way too much.

I have a feeling that Valiant Hearts (PS4) and Thief (PS3) will be in the IGC soon. Let’s see if that happens too.

There are 28 million PS3s in North America, and 2 million Vitas, and the gap isn’t closing. Sony’s probably aware of these numbers and making its decisions accordingly.

Some really good stuff in thia sale. My personal recommendations are Mirror’s Edge, Hatsune Miku project diva f, and Portal 2. Can’t go wrong!
May have to add BloodRayne (would have liked on Vita), and tempted with Giana Sisters (another Vita). or Portal 2.
Not much into the rest, though, I see pretty good diversity in the sale.
Still think it was a GREAT TIME, to add –> PARASITE EVE 1&2 and 3rd Birthday.

DAMN YOU!!!! I just bought HDN:Victory last night…. oh well I like to own physical copies better anyway. =) But all is not lost Portal 2, Beyond G&E and Scott Pilgrim you are mine.
Picked up Portal 2 so my girlfriend and I can play co-op together.
Otherwise, I think I’ve got just about everything on there that looks interesting to me.
If this sale isn’t doing anything for you, keep in mind there’s usually a big Halloween sale at the end of October. Might be something more to your taste then.

Sony’s still giving out Vita games on Plus every month. I’m not really sure how much more they can do. They can’t force third-party developers to make games for the system, and they’d be unwise to take their own studios off current PS4 projects and assign them to Vita projects that won’t sell nearly as well. It’s an unfortunate scenario, but it’s understandable. The PS3 has a big install base and the PS4 is selling really well. The Vita has neither of those things going for it, so it’s not a top priority.
I still occasionally think about buying a Vita. I’m not here to rip on it. I just think it’s totally reasonable for Sony to look at the Vita as a commercial failure and try to move on. Electronics companies do that every day. You can’t support everything.

Wow I was watching a Mirror’s Edge dev diary-type video a few days ago (the upcoming one on PS4) and I remembered I never got around to play the PS3 version….Well, the gaming gods have answered :D

Alot of indie games and bad games, what a lack luster sale. Whats with the game sales this holiday? The PS3 has had many long years of great games… why arn’t we seeing those up for some nice ps+ discounts to pad the collection? You guys need to take lessons from steam!

I’d been kinda wanting to get Portal 2 for a while now (if only Portal 1 were on PS3…), and this looks like an excellent time to do so. Mirror’s Edge looks potentially distinct enough to be worth getting anyway, and inexpensive enough to be worth the risk, so I got it too. Also downloading the demo of Beyond Good & Evil: if it’s anything like Final Fantasy X HD Remix, then it’s basically just a glorified PS2 port, but seeing as I never played the original, I’ll give it a shot.
Remember My Butt has a “what it actually looks like when playing” video in its Store page, which is nice! Which also reveals that it’s just as Male Gaze-y as its poster suggests. And not even in a “bad motivation but actually-kinda-sexy result” way: snug-fitting, curve-framing jeans are hot; wedgie pants are just trashy. Don’t need to be endorsing that, especially when I could get Mirror’s Edge 5 times over for the same cost, or a whole stack of Home outfits that do sexy right.

The original Portal IS on PS3. It’s part of The Orange Box.
Unfortunately, it’s a terrible port. Valve had EA handle porting duties, and they totally screwed it up. Ridiculous load times and framerate issues make the whole mess borderline unplayable.
