  • Holy SH– Just checked the EU Blog’s Black Friday listing, with all them Vita titles, and I tell ya, get Persona 4 Golden with those same discounts and my new PSTVita shall be happy. Seven bucks at 65% off, heck yeah. ’bout $5.70 if it carried that additional 20% Plus discount they’re showin’.

  • I want discount psn + 1 year more than discount of **** game!

  • It’s cyber Monday……which means nothing to Sony…..

  • KEEP IGNORING VITA, SONY!!! RIP PS VITA!!!

  • This is it… I’m selling my Vita.
It’s been over a year since I spent any money on it.

Between the Monster hunter clones, childish games and indies… the console became a piece of trash to me. I’m not even interested in PS1/PSP games… I owned a PS1 and a PSP back in the day, no point in paying again for a game I already had.

I bought a Vita on the first months it came out, I expected to see another uncharted, another Assassin’s creed, another CoD… the first ones may not have been very good, but it was a pretty decent first step… and from then on… what? indies? fanservice games? an relying obliviously on PSP and PS1 games sales…

I must say… you suck as a company and I won’t put any dollar on you no longer. I’m selling this brick today.
I hope, as others said before, someone hacks your damn system so noone will have to pay to you anymore for the trash you sale.

  • Is infamous second son the limited or standard edition? Picture shows limited but I wanted to be sure. I want the extra missions & DLC. I can get the physical game for same price, but it’s definitely the standard edition. Only worth it to me if in fact limited edition. Thanks!

  • I love all the anger, plenty of entertainment to be had here. I for one am not interested in any of the flash sale titles but do have a question for everyone who says I can go get the physical disc at Walmart, target, etc cheaper. Do you people take into account the fact that you pay sales tax, fuel prices and wear and tear on your vehicle traveling to and from the store, how much time it takes to acquire the physical copy? Is your time not worth a dime? Take those factors into account before you say a physical copy costs less. Even if your time is only worth minimum wage it would take realistically an hour to drive to the store, wait in the holiday lines and get home with your copy effectively canceling out any savings you may have reaped. Oh yeah Merry Christmas.

  • I’ll add to the questions. when you go to a convenience store and buy a candy bar it’s typically 40-50 cents more at the 7-11 than it is at the grocery store. Most people accept the higher priced items because they see it as a convenience. Same concept with the psn the higher premium is for the convenience of shopping from your couch. I don’t see a whole lot of people complaining about grocery prices at 7-11 so why complain about paying a few bucks more on psn?

Part of the price breaks at the brick and mortars have to do with getting you in the store so you purchase other items to offset the low priced item you came in to get. The ps store doesn’t necessarily work on the same principles so lowering the price to match brick and mortars isn’t really in their best interest. Either people are willing to pay for the convenience of not fighting holiday crowds and guaranteeing they will get a copy of said sales title or they are not. At the end of the day whether you buy from psn or Walmart the money still goes to the same people.

  • It’s already Cyber Monday, EU people got new sales for this Occasion MEANWHILE we got thing.

  • @ 491 JustLu

We can complain. IF you dont like it keep your life shopping from your couch like Homer Simpson. I cant accept the prices from PSN FOR DIGITAL COPIES, If I can get a game for lower price in a Store Im gonna take the best deal, and even better you can trade in your PHYSICAL copy and save even more money. Here are some of my saving buying at retail:

    Alien Isolation PS4 29.99
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor PS4. 24.99
Angry Birds Star Wars PS3 3.95
    Thief PS4 29.99
    Evil Withing PS4 29.99
Sniper Elite Silver Star Edition PS3 19.99. Has ALL THE DLC’s

So long story short. For me and others this is a Win-Win Situation.

  • @493 you are right you can complain all you want I find it to be pure entertainment. Not all the titles you listed were part of the flash sale but you actually help to make my point:

Brick and mortar prices according to you: Mordor $25, thief $30, evil within $30, sniper elite w/dlc $20 = $105 + tax + time to acquire those titles= at least $120.

psn : mordor $30, thief $30, evil within $30, sniper elite no dlc $20 = $110 also offers $15 back for spending $100 so subtract $15 from the total purchase price of $110-$15= $95 the $25 you saved on psn could probably purchase the dlc for sniper elite.

  • Where is cyber monday deals guys ? i waited to renew my plus subscribe today to get this day benefits !

  • @ 494 You didnt get it right? I can sell all the retail games i bought at eBay for at least $ 80 bucks. So at the end I spent way less Thank buying something I CANT TRADE IN or SALE or TRANSFER. Digital SHOULD be cheaper. Did you get it this time?

  • Maybe you don’t get it. I understand you find value in a physical copy of a game because there is a used game market. Sony isn’t going to get you as a customer anyways on psn.

To make it short people who participate in selling used games will NEVER buy a digital copy. Any and all DIGITAL sales are not intended for consumers in your group. No need to complain you weren’t gonna buy digital anyway.

  • @ 497 LOL if they were cheaper than physical copies yes. LOL BORING

  • I can’t tell which Sony hates more, their customers or the Vita. lmao

  • Does anybody knows if the save file of the digital version of Second Son works with the retail version?

  • So I guess you’re *still* ignoring your Vita fans on Cyber Monday? So nice of you.

For those interested, Best Buy is having a GREAT sale on Vita games – 14.99 for stuff like Freedom Wars, GoW, and Sly Collection. I typically prefer digital on handhelds, but Sony has decided to screw us over so I went physical here

  • Hopefully Playstation get better deals for boxing day! This Black Friday was TERRIBLE!
    -No PSVita games
    -Ridiculous prices (discounts)
    -Awful game selection

  • How about a Cyber Monday sale today? Or how about a GOOD deal update tomorrow to make up for this pure BS. PS3 Vita and Classics sale?

  • This flash sale was to remind us that physical is usually cheaper than digital. Thanks for that, Sony.

  • JustLu , Do you people take into account the fact that you pay sales tax, fuel prices and wear and tear on your vehicle traveling to and from the store, how much time it takes to acquire the physical copy? ……. OR you can just have physical disc shipped to you’re door like millions do ?

  • @ JustLu

These retail games sales were available online so you didn’t have fuel prices, and wear and tear on your vehicle, traveling to and from the store fighting crowds.almost all had free shipping. It was even easier to buy because sonys online store is always having problems with pricing.

  • @ deadmanjedi

But, were the online merchants able to provide the luxury of unlimited copies so that nobody would walk away disappointed? No.

    Tax exempt? No.

    Instant delivery? No.

Two copies for the price of one? No.

$15 back after spending $100? No.

Again, different options for different people. Employ the one the best suits you and leave the others be. I swear, you trolls must be hovering over the blog waiting for something to pop up that you can pick away at, like vultures do. Even if everything was perfect, you’d still find a way to be negative. Acting like a few bucks makes or breaks you. If you’re really that poor, you shouldn’t be buying video games in the first place. Save it for noodles. Damn.

  • + PrimeroIncognito

Do you remember when psn was shut down for how long?

Do you have unlimited copies than.

It happened once it can happen again.

Also sony can decide that there not going to support the ps3 in the psn store and how many unlimited copy’s do you have.

Sony can do this with very limited notice.

Then all the people with physical copys can still play them.

By the way i’m disabiled and i’m on disabilty which is very low income 3/4 of my income goes to house expenses. I’m homebound and in major pain everyday.Video games is the one thing that helps me take my mind of my pain.

So you are saying i shouldn’t play games.

    .

  • Where is the Cyber Monday deal?

  • I’ve actually went more on the steam sales route this year than PSN and pick up DW8 complete edition for 16.99.

  • hey, i wanted to buy shadow of mordor for $29.99 and when i go on to pay for it it changes to $59.99, in mexico its december first, i want this game for $29.99 just like it says

  • Am I missing something? What did sony do to the comments section? For example @495 Blasith- and @496 stalemate666 were responding to @BurriedSorrow who was @477, but now he is @494…
Did Sony add some comments somewhere? Wtf??

  • Another example: @185 DJ_Tomato was originally responding to @Shadowbhhiemes who was @179 but is now @181. I’m sure there are many others. Can anyone explain this?

  • @ deadmanjedi

First of all, downloaded games will still play even if PSN (SEN?) is down. You won’t be able to download anything new until the service comes back online, but, that doesn’t seem to be anything you guys are concerned with anyway, since you despise the PlayStation Store…

Second, everything you implied about Sony cutting service without notice just to spite their customers is entirely speculative, and, as such, isn’t even worth discussing. I recommend you stop listening to Chicken Little. He’s was wrong about the sky falling, you know. Besides, even if something like that were to happen, you’d have wasted so much energy worrying about your impending doom that you wouldn’t have any left to actually fight it. My advice: Deal with adversity as it comes.

Anyway, more importantly, why are you relying so heavily upon your games being available 24/7 in order to be happy? You guys imply that gaming is an essential element for survival. As if your whole world will collapse if you don’t have a game to play at every available moment. I sincerely hope you have more than just one interest in life…

  • deadmanjedi on December 1st, 2014 at 2:50 pm said: “So you are saying i shouldn’t play games.”

Not if it’s going to prevent you from eating, or paying your bills, no.

  • PrimeroIncognito

    I’m not worried about anything
I’m not saying they would cut the service to spite there customers but as your arguing .it cost just as much for digital games as retail and how expensive server are and the high payed staff to maintain them. With sony losing so much money every quarter how long can they afford to support the ps3 through there online store.

I don’t you think i need games 24/7 i don’t play games online and most of my games are discs i play about 3 hours a day at the most.
did you read what i said i never leave the house except to go to the doctors i have to do something.
Have you ever had a really really bad headache thats what i have my every waking hour its basically a living hell.medication hardly helps so i am dealing with adversity every breath i take If i didn’t have such a high tollarence for pain i would be bed bound on morphine..

There getting back to the arrogance they had when they were launching the ps3.

If note for the loyal customers who stuck with sony through that disaster there might not be a ps4.

But now sonys back at the top with the number one consule there forgetting who got them there.

How much does sony pay you

  • Keep deleting my comment… it is exactly what the denial demonstration to which all of us have got used from you…

  • Not impressed with the Flash Sale, especially with no new sales for Cyber Monday.

Still, I’m extremely happy with Shadow of Mordor! Glad I waited for this sale to pick it up for $30. Best game I’ve paid on my PS4 yet! Although the only use my Vita is getting is the Remote Play feature.

  • @mikezino

If you tried buying it at the time you posted, it looks like you were a few hours late it seems. Ended the 1st at 3pm.

  • @dallscowboys88: Comments are added later if they are from people on moderator approval. If the mods approve a comment, it gets added where it would have been if it were any other comment. Side note: This is virtually pointless since most people won’t reread an entire comment section to seek out new posts. Plus it means directing one’s comment at the individual (rather than the comment’s number, which can change) is the way to go.

In addition: Any actual, clickable URL (link) will cause your comment to be withheld pending moderation *regardless* of your status here or the content of your post.

    Hope that helps.

  • can I please get the discount for fifa I knew im a day late but please somehow.
