Saturday morning at the inaugural PlayStation Experience we unveiled the very first Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End gameplay. In case you missed it, here’s the full playthrough:
Although we are still in the pre-alpha stage of development, everything you see in the video is in-game and in real-time running at 1080p and a stable 30hz. It’s looking pretty spectacular already and we still have quite some time to optimize and refine our technology to make this the best looking and playing Uncharted game to date.

I don’t like how in the cave, Nathan is holding the flashlight and when he jumps it suddenly goes to his hip.
Nathan’s face looks a bit strange to me. I get that he’s supposed to be older but now he looks different
Insanity…look at those animations damn,graphics sometimes can be mistaken by real life.The implementations on gameplay are awesome…I almost shed a tear.Uncharted is finally back to its roots.
BTW I never thought we would see UC4 gameplay before E3,and a 15 minutes one wow damn what a sweet and amazing Christmas gift.
ND and Sony quality…nothing can top it.

I can’t believe some people said there is no gameplay in Uncharted when I look at this! I can do more things with the controller in 5 seconds while in mid-air than in most games!
I knew that the animations and the graphics would be good and…they are! …but I was waiting for new gameplay mechanics and the sequence with the grenade got me! The addition to climbing is great too and the action when he slide…nice! Thanks ND!
Can’t wait toss it. Again in 1080 without all the compression of this video, guys…this video is “really” compressed, don’t. Judge the game to hard before seeing a better quality one, compression-wise.

OMG Uncharted 4 Is amazing watching the game playing blew my mind I can’t wait for the release day
I didn’t want to watch much of it because of spoilers. It’s Uncharted, it’s Naughty Dog, it’s PlayStation…it’s perfection.
The BEST part was Drake escaping shots with that grapple. The only flaw is that dying glitch but thats normal for a game thats a year from release. Even for a game thats not being released yet its still perfect!

Can we play as Uncharted 3 Nathan drake skin? (or cool reference to Joel Costume or Jak X Costume as well) thanks? please add Playable Jak and Joel for Multiplayer skin atleast

Kind of looks like another interactive movie from Naughty Dog. What happened to the developer saying 30fps feels “broken” to them?
The combat looks so much better than any other Uncharted games. It’s not just take cover and shoot. You can use the environment to your advantage, flank enemies and take them out with stealth.
THIS GAME IS AMAZING…AND NEEDS TO BE OPEN WORLD LIKE ASSASINS CREED!! SERIOUSLY..AND ALLOW US TO PLAY CO-OP WITH SOME FRIENDS DURING THE STORY MODE. THAT WOULD BLOW ME AWAY. THEN AGAIN IM ALREADY BLOWN BY THE GRAPHICS! GOOD JOB ND..KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND GET WORKING ON A NEW JAK AND DAX.
Naughtydog has a good reputation with the gaming community and I believe that they will never let their fanbase down.
Everything about the game is topnotch and hopefully UBISOFT would learn something from them especially after the ACU mess they made…

Please please please, for the love of all that’s good… when Nathan gets hit, stop using a black & white filter. It sucks. You have this beautiful game, and the worse punishment is to watch it in B&W. Come on.

So 30fps it is then. Sigh, I knew it was too good to be true. This is the only area where the PS4 disappoints. Gameplay should be prioritized over eye candy, always!
Otherwise, it looks really promising. Apart form better textures, excellent anti-aliasing, and prodigious amount of lush foliage, they’ve made subtle but appreciable improvements with the climbing and traversal animations. Enemies look like they are now more capable in negotiating with their complex environment as they search for Drake. Nice to see stealth gameplay. Can’t wait for more!
The feeling i got watching the gameplay is the same feeling i got when i played Uncharted for the first time. I can’t freaking wait guys.
Amazing! Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series is my favourite single player experience ever!
I’ve stayed away from purchasing a PS4, because the games released so far, haven’t been compelling enough for me. I’ve always been a PS only console gamer and have never owned an xbox ever! Along with the fact that there is no DLNA streaming capabilities as of yet and I’m a huge fan of the Plex Media Server streaming app. I’ve seen no need yet to replace my 3x PS3’s. My PC, along with Steam, has done an excellent job of satisfying my very picky gaming needs.
However in saying that, I have a soft spot in my heart for the Uncharted series and watching this gameplay video, is a step in the right direction to getting me to purchase a PS4, but the DLNA issue still needs to be address for me to completely jump in with both feet. All the other bells & whistles and social media stuff, is definitely not for me and my friends. We tend to like single player & coop only gaming experiences that are somewhat grounded in reality.
Again, GREAT job Naughty Dog… to me you are the best present day development team in the last 5+ years!

I know the Demo ran at 30fps, but can the video be made in 1080p 60fps as well?
