@ GenbuMaboroshi how are you locked out of so many games? Do you have multiple PS4s?
Other than Plants Versus Zombies Garden Warfare, FFXIV, and other games that require access to dedicated servers I can’t find any games I have that I get locked out of.
Infamous works, Diablo 3 works, games I haven’t even played yet work like Transistor. You gotta have multiple PS4s to 1 account, or didn’t set your console as your primary, because I can’t think of 36 games that fit in the PVZ FFXIV categories you could be having issues with.
If you have multiple PS4s, you can’t really blame the DRM for not allowing you to have an unlimited number of devices playing offline off of one purchase. If you don’t have multiple PS4s, then why didn’t you set YOUR console as the Primary?
People need to quantify what the problem is. We can’t help you fix your issues if you’re vague and non specific. Heck we can’t even tell if you’re telling the truth.
Does this mean that there ain’t going to he any different sales for this week just the previous week’s ?

I had the symbol when the attacks started. As for how many plus games I could play after the attacks started? None. They require you to verify that you have plus every few days and automatically disable themselves when your plus runs out.
These are December’s sales but What will January’s sales be?

I’ve always been one that has believed that if you want to sell a game as complete: Make sure it is complete. If you want to sell a game as still being made, then advertise it as such. If a game is not working, still in testing, or untested, don’t advertise it as a finished, complete working game.
I’d rather a game spend a few extra days/weeks/months/years to be finished than for a game to be pushed out early at the expense of various issues. (Who here remembers a certain PC game’s bad patch a few years back?)

As for freebies… I’m not necessarily asking for freebies but for a simple matter of: don’t charge us for days that are down the entire time. If PSN is completely down for 24 hours, don’t charge us for the PS+ during that 24 hours. If it is down for 12 hours, on the other hand, feel free to charge or not charge.
If at a hotel that charged you a mandatory fee for room service and suddenly everyone of the room service staff is unavailable for an entire day, should you be charged for the room service still? In honesty? You shouldn’t. The hotel should not count that time against you. (And most respectable hotels or motels, in the event such a thing happens with some paid service, will generally not charge you for the unusable service time (they might even go a step further and toss in a freebie)) Sony, on the other hand, does charge you for that unusable service time.
Seriously Sony? You announce that you’re extending the flash sale so you can make more money before announcing that you will at least extend our PS+ subscriptions to make up for the downtime? Yeah, you’re really “for the gamers”.
Your competition has shown that a DDoS attack can be countered and the network restored in less than a day. The least you can do is not have a tin ear and sound so greedy before letting your customers know you’re going to do the right thing and extend our subscriptions.
How about crediting our accounts for the 4+ days that many of us couldn’t connect to the service which we pay money in order to use?

Even though these sales kinda suck, it’s very good of you to extend them after the problems.
Instead of just extending this last week, you should consider repeating all the sales for the past 4 weeks. Steam does this often with their sales.
@57 Microsoft didn’t counter anything, the size of servers they have are much more then what sony has. They have more room to mitigate and filter out all that false data. The aftermath of these attacks depends how much the servers were flooded with false data and if you don’t have that many servers things are going to be down a while until you filter everything out. In this case, for me psn was up when sony said it was up, not everyone had your 5 day problem. Which probably meant that some regions or areas were still flooded. Welcome to DDoS attacks,.
I’d be a lot happier about this if there were actually some decent Vita sales. Why do we never see any of the Atelier games in the sale list? Or Mind Zero? Ys: Memories of Celceta? Demon Gaze? Or what about some PS1 classics that never go on sale like Xenogears? Where is Legend of Legaia? Saga Frontier? Brigandine? Just saying, if you want our money, give us something! I’ve got it right here, ready for you.
Extending these is nice, but I’m expecting more from you SCEA, and I mean a JUICY PS+ 12 MONTH SUB DISCOUNT like you had last year when the service actually worked like it should.

The overall prices are way more expensive than last year, for instance. Although I ended up picking Lara Croft and Metal Gear Ground Zeroes.

I agree with DelCtrlnoAlt. Not only are physical discs cheaper: with them you have the game forever, and all the power is in the hands of the gamer. With digital downloads, all the power is in the hands of Sony.
What will happen when Sony decides it’s not profitable to continue supporting the PS3 and shuts down the servers that provide PS3 downloads? We’ll have lost all our investment!

Ps+ is $50 a year. 365 days in a year. 50/365 = 0.136986301369863 or $0.14 a day. So if Sony you want to compensate us just drop a few free avatars because that is all that people are owed, 2 or 3 days of down connections is still under a dollar. Don’t get mad at Sony people! This was those stupid lizard brats, don’t feel like Sony owes you anything if anyone was wronged it was Sony who had to log crazy hours on a holiday.

I think this is the right thing to do. I feel bad for the people who just got a new system and were not able to play it because of the situation that happened a few days ago. I’m sure it will happen again which is why I never want a console that requires a constant Internet connection or hourly check in just to function. I would like to say thanks to all the people who worked to resolve the problem. As a Vita owner I’m still disgusted with the lack of sales we see here in NA. Everytime I see Europe’s sales they have a load of Vita games on sale. I will never understand it. :(

Now since you had the Playstation Experience earlier this month and alot of peole couldn’t go (I being one of them) since it was on the West coast and I live on the East coast. How about some sales since it was the 20th anniversary of playstation? And I mean put alot of the older titles on heavy permanent discounts. Maybe you will put alot of older titles from PS1 and PS2 on sale. I mean we are plus subscribers so there should be sales on all games and dlc only.

Wow at the people asking for compensation simply because the online was down for a few days. Do you ask for compensation when something knocks out your power for a few days? This is the EXACT same situation Sony was in when Lizard Squad took down PSN. Keep in mind Sony has been working their butts off since Christmas Day to try and make your holiday gaming the best it can be. Badmouthing does nothing to solve the problem. You can hope they’ll compensate, but don’t demand it and feel you’re entitled to it.
BTW I applaud extending the sale. None of the sales are for me, but I’m sure other gamers appreciate it.

I purchased Midway Arcade Treasures for the PSP. That is such an awesome title for a portable console, as I have the game in PS2 and it rocks. I don’t have a PSP, but I do own a Vita. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the best research about compatibilities and I found out (after purchasing the game) that I can’t transfer it to my Vita, even though I have a PS3 and cables and everything necessary for that. There is just to way to have the game transferred.
I am now looking for Capcom Collection for the PSP as well, and it seems this one is blocked for the Vita too. All I want answer for is, why are these games blocked? What’s the deal with them? If there are NOT enough Vita titles to this day, why refraining people from getting at least some good PSP games? It’s not like the games are free, we are still paying for them anyway. I think sales for games and Vita consoles would be higher if this blocking would disappear. The worst part is that if you check the options for the game once downloaded to the PS3, it indicates instructions about how to move the game to the Vita system, but once you plug the Vita in, the game is not listed. What a disappointment.

Great prices for battlefield 4. BF3 is my favorite of the series but this one is pretty close.

There are four games I am wanting, unfortunately due to the extended down time last week I became impatient and spent my money elsewhere in belief that PSN may not be back up this year.

Yet a lot if people in the uk still cant get online. I cant even get into the playstation store on my ps3 or ps vita. Well done sony ive paid for playstation plus yet lost nearly a week of it and a week of online gaming.
Very unhappy. Have not been able to play ghosts since Christmas. it is very frustrating.some can be playing while others can’t. Fix it and give us loyal members compensation
