The PlanetSide 2 Closed Beta for PS4 is starting this month — January 20th, to be exact! The development team has been hard at work refining, optimizing, and creating an amazing console version of PlanetSide 2 on PS4, and we can’t wait to get it into your hands.
We’ll be using this beta period to test our servers, performance, and various other aspects of the game, and we also want you to share constructive feedback on PlanetSide 2. How does the game look and feel? Is navigating through the menus intuitive and utilizing DualShock 4 in the best way? All players in the Closed Beta will have access to our special Beta forums, which will be the primary location for development interaction and feedback. We want the massive battles to make your heart pound and adrenaline pump, so share your thoughts with us.
If you haven’t done so already, make sure you opt in by email for a chance to participate in the Closed Beta. You can sign up through our website. To ensure the most positive gameplay experience, we will invite a few thousand players into the Beta at the beginning, followed by waves of players throughout the Closed Beta period. Please note players will be invited in chronological order of when they signed up.

this closed beta is a joke…we found nothing on youtube or steaming about the beta, didn’t receive a key either. hope i get it today.

Hey Clint Worley I have a question. Is the only way you get an invite is if you put in you e-mail and having Planetside 2 on PC. Because it seems like thousands of others got it but some others didn’t. I am not complaining it is an awesome game for the PC but I am just wondering. Also I hear there will be an open beta for the game. Do you have an estimate time of when that will come out? Much obliged!
I am so excited! I have been waiting for this since it was first announced. I just hope that my friends love it on PS4 as much as I loved it on PC.
Why is this only open to US residents? It sucks.

If you signed up multiple times for beta on ps2 page, will you get reset to the back of the line?
lol bull**** this thing doesn’t go in order i member when they started to take sign ups (like the day the site officially went up for sign ups) and i still don’t have an invite. also funny we’re in 2015 and we have things like early access and other beta games like hardline made public (just go to the store and DL) and we stil have companies who do the “give it to some **** of the rest” tactic and before anyone even goes off on it believe me i know the difference between open and closed betas. my point is we’re in 2015 there should BE NO MORE closed beta bs there is no need for it. you have dev who release their work in ALPHA phases ok just so the public GETS THE GAME that they have been waiting YEARS for rather than lose interest in it. this way EVERYONE wins people get to play and YOU STILL GET TO WORK/FIX the game’s bugs out if anything you do it at an even faster more progressive rate with the MORE people you have playing.<3
