We hope your New Year is getting off to a great start! As promised, as a thank you to all of our PSN members, we are happy to announce the details of the 10 percent PlayStation Store discount. See the official terms and conditions here.

The discount will be valid from 9:00 AM 1/23 PST through 9:00 AM PST 1/26. Simply use the promotion code for a one-time 10% discount off eligible items in a total cart purchase in PlayStation Store on PS3, PS4 or the web/mobile at store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com. Some exclusions do apply, including subscriptions for PS Plus, Music Unlimited, PS Now and rental video content (update: game preorders are also excluded from this promotion, we apologize for the confusion). The code must be redeemed at checkout and discounted transaction completed before 1/26/15 at 9:00 AM.

Use the discount on hundreds of thousands of items including blockbuster new releases, award winning indie games, game add-ons and season passes, pre orders, and an enormous selection of TV and Movies to own. You can find the code on PlayStation Store and via @PlayStation.

Also, for those PS Plus members impacted by the PSN service interruption over the holidays, we have started to roll out the 5-day PS Plus membership extension, no action is required on your part.  You will receive an email in the coming days with a confirmation of details about the extension.

  • Advertises Pre-Orders for sale, then lines them out. Only updates blog, not in store coupon details. Advertising something up until the moment of the sale then changing the terms and not updating the store coupon text sounds like false advertising.

    Considering this is supposed to be your “sorry we suck at networking” sale, could have done better than that!!

    I can’t believe at the last minute you took away the original 10% for pre-orders! I only came back to visit this old post when I had noticed that I wasn’t able to add pre-orders to my cart to use the code. The terms and conditions do not reflect this sudden change:

    Understandable that non-subscribers should have only been allowed a few days to use the 10% off code also shocking was the shambles of the promo and the fact I was told an email would be sent to me with code which I waited for then found out too late the code has now expired.

  • Really sucks this was only live for 3 days. I worked all weekend and didn’t have a chance to use the code. Would have been nice if we could have saved this coupon for whenever we waned.

  • It’s insane that the code was only valid for 3 days. What happens to your clients (like me) who were offline during that short period of time? We get screwed.

  • Same. Been gaming all weekend, not a damn word. I had no clue about the discount or the PS+ extension until I logged on after work today and saw the “Important Notification” from Playstation.. Apparently it came in this morning close to 1 am. .. Problem is, I have this thing called a job, and it’s Monday… I wasn’t on my PS4 this morning Sony. Thanks for the timely update.

    Looking back at the comments though, it doesn’t seem like it was really worth it. You put better sales on all the time, and to bait and switch people with the pre-order bit is low. What the hell is wrong with you lately Sony? You’re slipping, big-time.

  • My ps4 shows the “from PlayStation” notification about this was received 1/26/15 @ 8:30am. :( I’ve been playing destiny all week long so it’s not like my ps4 was off. I would have used the 10% off to buy a full game but I didn’t get notified until it was nearly expired…

  • So just like a few people above me, I’ve been playing my ps4 all weekend and just got the message from Playstation about the discount this morning. On the 27th. AFTER THE PROMOTION ENDED ON THE 26TH…. Come on Sony. I’ve been defending you guys to my friends and coworkers with all the crap that’s been going on, but really you guys need to get it together.

  • I was wainting the discount since last week and I’d already chosed my game, but the problem was short time for apply the discount code, of course Sony previously make it possible only on weekend but we have family and weekend is for our family and childrens.

  • Tried to purchase an add on for advanced warfare using my10% discount so it tells me that code would be generated at checkout but never got my discount so I call customer service I notify them about my situation! So the rep tells me he spoke to a level 2 supervisor and authorized a one time refund. So I was happy only to receive an e mail the next day saying they are not going to refund me my money. I call back and they say theirs nothing they can do! So I ask why they would say that I would be getting a refund. So the rep tells me that sometimes representatives lie and play games with customers that call in with complaints. I will not be purchasing anything that has to do with play station anymore. Besides its always being hacked and down for maintenance purposes! What a joke play station has become!

I was wanting to use this and looked everywhere then you announce it right before it is only valid for 3 days. You deserve what you have coming to you which is selling out. Will NEVER buy a Sony product again in my life and will always tell people not to support a company that treats customers the way you do.

  • This discount code is a joke: I have been impacted by the DDoS and didn’t get a chance to use this extremely limited offer. Shame on you Sony !

  • I love that you have to follow a ****ing blog to know about stuff like this. And what happened to them EMAILING the code to us like they said they would?

  • Obviously, there is a manual process at work here, but it has been reliable and fast (an hour or so) ever since I have started using this service. Recommended!
