This is a pretty awesome month for PlayStation Plus members with a variety of quality titles across PlayStation platforms entering the service.
On PlayStation 4 you’ll receive one of the coolest games from last year – the critically acclaimed strategy/action RPG Transistor. PS4 owners will also get Apotheon, an action platformer set in Greek mythology, the day it releases on PlayStation Store. PlayStation 3 owners can explore the ins and outs of Tokyo with Yakuza 4 or sneak about The City stealing what you can in Thief. PlayStation Vita owners can see how many generations of champions it takes to beat the quirky Rogue Legacy and jump around as a little boy with a big gun (not so much for shooting enemies as it is launching you around) in Kick & Fennick, which is also releasing day and date in PlayStation Plus.
All of these games will be free for Plus members starting February 3rd. If you want to see these titles in action, check out the video below. Death vengeance 99 I had the same problem. I ended up going to account management and downloading it from my list and that worked. I own all the yakuza games. Great series. Glad I don’t have to download a 23 Gb file
I don’t have a ps4, so I’m pretty happy about plus this month. Been playing thief and the screen tear and frame rate are really bad, but its still playable. Never played a Yakuza game, so definitely interested in giving that a try. Please have some more PS Plus sales though, like $5.00 ultimate editions you guys used to have a couple years ago. Thanks!

I’m disappointed with Thief not being available for the PS4 as well. They should have maybe given the option of what console version to have? I have both PS3 and PS4 and id much rather enjoy playing it on the PS4…..please please don’t forget about that in the future.. other than that, great line-up!

Rogue legacy was one of the funnest 2D fruity platformers i have played since the mid 90s unfortunately the 90s is where it belongs what with all its issues! keeps freezing here and there mainly when i do really good as in have several grand in gold, have killed 2 rows worth of enemies, then upon death while showing me those stats BOOM freezes! for a small 2D fruity game in this era THAT should NOT happen EVER!
Im really not happy with the ps4 lineup. I’ve put so much money into Sony and stuck with them through all the die times with the hackers and such. Now I usually never even comment but really. First light, I liked that as a free game even though it’s stand alone and I never play it but apotheon and transistor? And PS3 get stuff like yakuza thief bf3 really? Cmon guys step it up.
Why do i feel as though PS4 gamers are being punished for upgrading… I Mean December and January games were good but are we really going back to indies and platform games? dont get me wrong I liked Transistor but when I see a AAA game going to PS3 every month I see it as though PS4 believers, people who believed that whats coming is going to be better it just feels as though we are punished for having faith in this system. I just think its WRONG that many PS4 owners are seriously thinking of buying a PS3. Were we supposed to keep our PS3’s ?? THANKS
I must correct myself regarding February games. Transistor definitely doesn’t belong into category of crappy games. It is indeed neat game that usually isn’t available to download for free.
Now, regarding future updates, I think that PS4 will always lag after PS3 in terms of PS+ games and the reason is simple.
PS+ is mandatory for online multiplayer and (almost) all of PS4 users have it. Therefore, Sony doesn’t have reason to attract PS4 users to PS+. Quite contrary, if they release some game on PS+ for PS4, they can be almost sure that nobody will buy that game.
In contrast, not all PS3 users are on PS+, so Sony can calculate if they will get more money by releasing of AAA games on PS+ for PS3.
Sad but true.

Cool game selection but not if you have a ps4…I mean you could have at least put thief on the ps4, just seems like a kick in the teeth considering that I’m getting a horrible line through all my discs in my ps4….

Ps4 Getting punished again.. Thanks sony, i love how ive got Thief for the PS3 now after i traded in the PS3 for a cheaper PS4 on its launch. If you are gonna give one system games that are on more systems make them cross-buy, you do after all advertise 60 games per year.
