PlayStation Now Subscriptions: February Games Lineup

The PlayStation Now subscription service launched on PS4 last month with more than 100 games, and we’re just getting started. We’ll add games to the service each month, ranging from big blockbuster hits, unique indie games, and everything in between.

Perhaps you had a PS3 but missed some of these games, or maybe you never owned a PS3 at all — either way, our PlayStation Now subscription service offers an easy and convenient way to catch up on your backlog. Of course, you can choose from two subscription plans — monthly for $19.99, or a three-month package for $44.99 (about $15 per month).

This month you’ll find 5 additional games spanning a range of genres. All of these games will be added to the PlayStation Now subscription library on February 3rd, bringing the total of games you can play with your membership to 109. Also, make sure to check out the weekly PlayStation Store Update post to see the new games available to rent on PlayStation Now.

  • Is the subscription service ever going to be to Vita users?

    • Yes, we are working on officially launching subscription on Vita, as well as on PS3, PSTV, and 2014 Sony TVs soon.

Also, for those who subscribe on the PS4 now, note that you can play your subscription games for free on these other PS Now enabled devices by navigating to them in the rental menu.

    • Hi everyone,

For those of you who were experiencing an issue with the February games not showing up in the subscription catalog, the issue has been fixed. Thanks for your patience.

  • Can I just get an HD Remaster collection of Uncharted 1-3-GA? I’d rather just pay that 50 dollars and play the games when ever I want on my PS4.

  • Why put uncharted games on ps now!? I want a uncharted collection 1-3 for ps4 before uc4 comes out

  • @ gerneric123 yes the subscription games will show up on the PS Vita. I have a one month subscription and when I checked on Vita the games are there. Now the thing is you have to subscribe on the PS4 or web store. And imo it’s better on Vita. Hope this helps.

  • Great additions to the subscription catalog. Keep the high quality games coming!

Any ETA on when the subscription service will come to other PS Now devices?

    • Glad you are liking this month’s game additions!

ETA for other PS Now devices is soon! Can’t say more right now, but we are working on it!

  • PS Now is still too expensive.

  • Let me guess, those two arcade games are for console that shouldn’t have arcade games…. Ps4 **** you I’m about to sell this thing and get a Xbox one.

  • @gamer_boi_83 Can you activate the subscription on the web store? I don’t own a PS4 and was under the impression you need it to start a subscription.

  • Still needs a plus discount. Hard to swallow plus subscription price and psnow subscription price. Why not make an ultra ps plus tier level that includes ps now?

    • Hi Deadendblues,

Thanks for the feedback. One thing I want to clarify for everyone thinking about PlayStation Now is that you actually don’t need Plus to play PS Now games on PS4, they are separate services.

  • Never gotten an chance at uncharted 2, interesting. Got U3 on plus I believe but didnt want to play it without the second first.. May have to run through the first one again too. Fingers crossed for the yr of the subscription though!!!! I plan on getting a subscription when i can afford to.

Would be awesome to see demos on a stream too rather than downloading for hours to find out a game isnt for you in about 5 minutes.

  • I can’t fathom why someone would sell their PS4 for an XB1. There’s only one exclusive game on XB worth playing.

  • Is there something your not telling us? The pic shows all the games being for PS4…

  • Oh wait, I see, it’s for PlayStation now not PS plus, my bad

  • Make PS4 backwards compatible!! I have spent sooooooo much $$ on psn over the years. This does not interest me.

  • 5 new games per month?

The PS NPW service is lacking dozens, maybe hundreds of games, that would actually make the price worth considering.

I guess i’ll have to check back in a couple years when the total of games for rent is around a meager 200…

could be a good service but you really need to improve the library and/or gut the price.

  • Can we get a monthly subscription service on the PS3 as well?

    • Hi

Yes, we are indeed working on bringing PS Now subscription to the PS3 as well as to PS Vita and other devices that currently let you get PS Now individual game rentals. Thanks for your patience!

  • Please consider doing an All-in-one subscription service. I would love to play $100 or $120 a year to have a subscription to PS+, PS Now, and PS Music. I have a feeling that I’m not the only one who would go for this as well.

You could call it the PlayStation Platinum Service or something and give us a Platinum PS Plus icon too.

  • Sony I love the concept but you are far from be able to charge a price this high with such a low number of titles.

  • PS4 should allow PS3 owners like myself to play PS3 disc or download games we own on are PSN Accounts to work with PS Now for free; no rent or subscription unless you don’t own game or ever play it yet.

PS Vita needs first party games support again; PS Vita has alot of room to grow then being PS4 buddy on the go. When will Gravity Rush 2 come out and its 1st party game that needs to happen. :) I hope its PS Vita only if not i hope its really good on PS4 and use the PS Vita as its main controller. PS Vita should be use as Controller for PS4 for some games that use touch.

  • I believe the pricing needs to be thought about again 45 dollars for 3 months is way overpriced. To make it simple let’s say almost 200 for a full year of the streaming service plus 50 for a plus sub since without it you can’t play games online your now at 250 a year. Some of us would like to use the service if the pricing was more fair I know we have a large collection of games but not every game is my cup of tea. Still hoping one day the price will be more competitive to get more people to join ps now.

    • Hi saab01,

Thanks for the feedback! Just want to clarify, the cost of subscribing to PlayStation Now subscription service for a whole year is $180 (or $15 a month) when you get the 3-month plan.

You don’t have to have a PlayStation Plus membership to play PS Now games on PS4 or any other PS Now enabled device.

  • @14 & 19 agreed – we need either BC for our previous purchases on PSN or to be able to steam these purchases thru Now. With all the last gen remasters, I still have no compelling reason to ditch my PS3 and make the upgrade.

  • Don’t care about Playstation Now at all until they put Skyrim on there. Would love to play that game again but my PS3 will not read disks anymore and I don’t have the money for a new one.

  • The service itself works amazingly. On both PS4 and Vita.

    But….

Way too expensive… Sure it’s a different service from Ps+… But I thought the reason Sony said no to the EA thing was because you didn’t want your customers signing up for multiple services?

With plus, music unlimited, now and the upcoming streaming video service Sony announced.

Sounds to me like you don’t really care your customers have a million things to sign up and pay for…. As long as Sony is the one getting the monthly fee.

Why not come through on your word and offer a one in all sorta deal… And actually make it a deal.

(better games on the service would help too. As it stands there’s maybe 5 worth playing)

  • ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

    QUESTION! ?!?

I use to have some games from the list
and never finished … I still have the saves
In my ps3 can I use the PS plus cloud to
transfer my saves to the Ps4 and continue
playing ..?? or I have to start a new game.?

    ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

  • Why AH3 and not AH3 love max?

  • Do PS Now games include DLC?

  • came in for Ragnarok Odyssey Ace.

    found it’s Galaga Legions DX.

    what a trap.

  • As new games are added, will other games be removed from the service, or is the policy to just continue to expand the library continuously? Also, if game are removed each month, what happens if someone has paid for three months of access to that game?

  • Can you guys add black ops games? I’ll sign up right away if you do lol : )

  • Oh boy! the ones who got a PS4 bought a recycler bin. One of these days we’re going to find a MGS HD HD HD. Why don’t you spend that energy creating new games, it´s nice to find histories that surprise us, instead to get the same oldies that we played some years ago… I hope you find the way again. Anyway thanx for the good ones. Greetings!

  • Resonance of Fate
    and
    3D Dot Game Heroes

Desperately needs to come to PSNow!!! Please Please Please!

  • Uncharted 2 on my vita? Yesss please, agree with the earlier message, ps now is better on vita, need better control options for motorstorm apocalypse.

Bioshock Infinite is amazing on vita

  • I like what @17 said. Makes sense when you think about it

  • Meh. I’d rather just own the games. You can get most PS3 games for dirt cheap at any retailer nowadays. Put some PSOne/PS2/PSP games on there that we don’t already have and I’ll consider getting a subscription.

  • WHERE IS PLAYSTATION ALLSTARS!!!!! ME AND MY FRIENDS WILL BE LIFETIME SUBSCRIBERS!!

  • Arcana Heart 3… but not Love Max? Dunno, feels like having SSF4 Arcade instead of USF4.

  • I spent hours trying to get ps now to work and called sony but no help whatsoever and chatted with them and was lied to and told i don’t have a card on file etc. Now i finally find out my suspicions were right and that you MUST own a ps4 in order to use it on other devices also. A guy i work with said i didn’t have to own the ps4 but he does own one so figured that was it. Please get this fact out to the people so they do not get disgruntled like myself and thousands of other customers. I almost decided to buy a competitor console after this. I searched hi and low and there is squat on this.

  • Please add the options to buy unlimited access to individual games. I’d rather pay full retail value to permanently be able to play a single game then have to pay a monthly fee for all the games.

  • There should be options if you already own these games digitally. For 200 bucks I could just buy a new PS3 and buy games i want for 5$ at the flee market.

    Scam!

  • I’m a master account with 2 kids as subaccounts

I really thought PS Now was going to be a great addition as we have ps4, ps3, psp, and vita until the trial.

Not only can the subaccounts not play the PS Now games when I’m subscribed, but they don’t even have the option to subscribe to the service themselves.

Once again, subaccounts get the shaft.

  • I don’t understand all the people who say this is too expensive. You get access to over 100 PS3 games for 3 months for only $45. Some of these games are among the best ever created: God of War, God of War 2, Uncharted 2, and The Last of Us. No, they’re not 99 cent games for your phone. They’re epic experiences that are amazing on a TV.

But then there’s always the guy who says, “But I can go to Gamestop and buy such-and-such used for $10.” To which I ask, why even buy the game at all? $10? Too expensive. Why not just pirate the game and pay nothing. After all, paying money for something of value is only what chumps do. If you’re looking for the cheapest alternative, just steal it.

Personally, this is an incredible value. Amazing games for one price and you can play them on so many different consoles. You can start a game on a PS4, continue it on a Vita when you’re away from home, and finish it on the PSTV up in the office because the kids are watching the TV. It’s unbelievable.

Ok, rant over. Great selection of games.

  • I would also be much more willing to join PS Now if it was bundled together with PS Plus! I play online a lot so I need PS Plus (and its a stupid good deal anyway). Seriously though, bundle them up at some sort of discount, and the more games you add to the catalog the better the deal! As Sid Shuman says ‘content is king!’. PS Plus was not close to worth it when it started, and now it’s amazing! I know you can make PS Now amazing as well!

  • I have a lot of PS3 digital games that I have purchased but not yet played. I would love to get rid of my PS3 and be able to stream these games on my PS4, but I feel like I should be able to do it at no additional fee. You now since I already purchased them.

  • Hahah thank you PlayStation!!! I just finished uncharted last Friday onto uncharted 2

  • Will you ever be adding a yearly subscription?

  • I’m curious if games will be leaving the PSNow Subscription playlist? What happens if i’m in the middle of a game and you guys take it away?

  • So we’re just going to pretend PS2 never happened eh?

  • I signed up a three month subscription, and here’s some initial thoughts:

    – I won’t be subscribing again because its a bit silly that I’m playing these games via the Playstation 4 and yet I’m logged into the PS3 PSN I’m assuming which means I get old messages that went to that PSN account (same as my PS4) and yet I can’t use party chat while on the service. Considering the social features of the PS4 I just don’t understand why this new service wouldn’t atleast include the party chat option.

    – It’s a bit pricey. I’m not saying that isn’t fair from your end as a company, but I’m saying as a consumer I just don’t see myself biting again. $45 for 3 months X 4 payments = $180 + $50 for PS+ = $230 for a year. A bit of a hit considering PSN has been down lately which restricts my access. I’d possibly consider it for $175 – $200 a year but even then I’m going to need to test out more games before I could be certain on that. I’ve only played XCom Enemy Unknown so far and occassionally there’s a hiccup on my 25mb DL connect. Not sure how an FPS would perform and that would be a deal breaker for me.

    part 2 following

  • part 2 of 2:

    – Another deal breaker for me is the fact that my old PSN purchases aren’t available for FREE to me. I bought them already. The idea that they can be on this service for me to rent again, but not play since I bought them before is a bit of a slap in the face. I get it, you never promised me that they’d carry over to a new console, but see point #1, I’m accessing the PS3 PSN to play these, or atleast thats how it looks, yet I don’t have access to my previously purchased games? No thanks.

  • I have a question. If i purchase the ps now subscription would i need to also renew my ps plus if i wanted to play those games online or wanted to play my disc based ps4 games online.

Because paying for 2 different subscription is not worth it and ps plus actually should be free to begin with. We pay $60-$100 on a game and we can’t even play half of the content…..either it;s locked and you have to purchase the dlc or you have to purchase ps plus to play the multiplayer.

Please combine these two packages and offer a discount. Not everyone is rich in the world and we all have mortgages and other bills to pay for.
