Critics’ Choice Sale, Oscar Sale Both Start Today

February is the month where some of the most prestigious award shows take place. The Grammy Awards were a few weekends ago and the Academy Awards are this Sunday. We’re getting in on the fun with two sales — the Critics’ Choice Sale, discounting some of the biggest games from 2014 that received awards and recognition from the gaming media; and the Oscars Sale, discounting Academy Award-winning films from years past.

We’ve got another sweet bonus for you this week — get a $15 credit when you spend more than $100 using your SEN Wallet on PS Store today through February 24th at 11:59 PM Pacific (valid in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico). You’ll receive a redemption code for your $15 credit on or before March 2nd via email, XMB message on PS3, or system notification on PS4/PS Vita. The redemption code must be redeemed by 11:59 PM Pacific on March 31.

Starting later today, following the PS Store publish, you’ll be able to snag a ton of award-winning games like Destiny, Dragon Age: Inquisition, FIFA 15, Danganronpa, and more at up to 70 percent off through Monday, February 23rd. PS Plus members can pick up these titles at up to 80 percent off. Check out the full lineup:

  • Is Wolf Among Us even available for vita on the store? I know it may not be on sale, just curious if it is even available. I may hold out for a sale on the cart if it isn’t.

  • I got to say that Sony hasn’t done anything lately to impress me and the one time code a few weeks ago I didn’t even care to take advantage of because it was so weak. But this time around seems like a decent deal. Though some of the games aren’t exactly my first choice like destiny and COD, I might actually pull the trigger anyway since friends have those games and I want to play some multiplayer games with them. So far I have not taken advantage of online except for DriveClub and that was a disaster. I might actually go all the way and take advantage of the 15 dollar code even. I’m usually not a digital download kind of person especially for ps3 and ps4. I’ve bought a few games on vita though.

  • With that said…I’m still going to check amazon and some B&M to see if these same games are on sale also…because I would still prefer hard copy.

  • Well I see that if you were to purchase cod, destiny, and wolfenstein on psn and you prefer digital you would save a few bucks, but the 15 dollars you get back will be a little more tempting. But if you’re a hard copy kind of person, I bet waiting a little bit longer would put these games in the bargain bin.

  • Anyone suggest either FC4 or dragon age?

    needs more non-Indie Vita representation!

I second that request….geez I’m having to download some playstation ports on the vita and they aren’t designed for small screens I can barely read crap on there. Vita gets no love. Since third party aint going to do crap for vita, how about sony putting out some exclusives from their OWNED publishers.

  • To answer the question about the Telltale collection. YES it DOES include the season passes for GoT and Borderlands. I know from buying it myself and it says I have the season passes for both games now and I didn’t have either before.

  • So, since I can’t add to cart pre orders, do I still get the $15 credit if I buy them? I’m buying The Witcher 3 and MLB 15 if so

  • I seem to be having the same issue as others here – the Shadow of Mordor PS4 deal is listed as $35 instead of $25. Is there an ETA on when this might be fixed?

  • @Chie chen If I buy 2 pre orders (that can’t be added to the cart) separately do I still get the $15 promo?

  • Pricing on some games is different (less expensive) on your list than in the store…as a ps plus member Destiny Guardian is 74.99 for me as opposed to 67.19 you have listed. There are other variances between your list and the store….any reason why?

  • Gave in to this sale. Bought Far Cry 4, Tell tales collection and Shadow of Mordor. I hope I dont regret this. >.< lol

  • Does buying Ps+ for 1 year counts toward the $100?

  • Why not Spend $50 and get $10? It would have been more tentative for me.

  • Please Share. From a comment in Kotaku:
    Steve Bowling:
“I think Sony’s best bet would be to bank harder on the PS4’s wild success. Make a handheld that focuses on a perfect remote play experience, while maintaining backwards compatibility with the PS Vita.

I would love to play lag-free off-TV PS4 games without having to give up any of my buttons, and keep my ability to play niche Japanese Vita titles all on one machine. That’d be amazing.”

  • I guess this page is monitored sparingly through the sale. Too bad, more money could be made when the queries are answered

  • Hi. It is valid for signature ps plus? Valid for crédito return? Thanks

  • Is there a way to check how much you have spent that counts towards the $100

  • Will subscriptions count for the $100 promotion like if I get the 1 year ps+ will that count?

  • What time on Monday does this actually end?

  • I hope I get a response for this; Will PSN users get a price on Sniper Elite 3 like Xbone people did? I’d love to see a 10 dollar price on that game for PS4

  • When will this happen again? please make this happen again
