Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the legendary PlayStation baseball series. MLB 15 The Show steps up to the plate on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita this week. Baseball fans, rejoice.
In MLB 15 The Show, players are once again treated to one of the most authentic baseball experiences in gaming, with jaw-dropping stadiums and player models, a tremendous collection of modes, and several features that are brand new to the series. San Diego Studio has included licensed equipment to enhance that characteristic authenticity, as well as implement year-to-year saves. The team is also introducing iconic baseball legends from all 30 teams, spanning 70 years of the sport’s history.
And if baseball isn’t your bag, don’t sweat: the highly-anticipated Axiom Verge drops onto PS4 this week. Developed single-handedly by indie designer Tom Happ, this modern interpretation of the Metroidvania is deeply inspired by classic games, but pushed into overdrive with mind-bending puzzles and tons of weapons. If you want a great example of what a single, passionate game developer can do, look no further. Plus, it’s part of Spring Fever with a 10% PS Plus discount at launch. Bonus!

Hey Ryan question for you. About a month or so ago you guys had a game called Teslagrad listed on a Drop but it got delayed at the last minute. There has been no news since. Do you know if they game is still planning to release here in the US or not?
Hey Mercenary, not sure if you’ll see this but I checked with our developer relations team and they confirmed that Teslagrad is still on the way! Stay tuned.
Axiom Verge is still coming to PS Vita, just at a later time. It will be cross buy, so if you get it on PS4 you’ll get the PS Vita version when it launches.
Axiom Verge Looks cool, but please release thos PSone classic games for ps4 already! some more info on Rack N Ruin would be cool never heard of that one.
Nice, Shadow Tower. Fro the Dark Souls/Demon Souls/Bloodborne fans, this is where it all began. I hope this means the King’s field titles are coming soon (and other AgeTec stuff like Evergrace and Forever Kingdom).
What’s up, friend! I can look into pre-orders, but the goal with this post was always new games specifically. Your best bet would be to get that info from the weekly PlayStation Store Update.
I’ll be sure to try out the Oreshika demo sometime and maybe the Toukiden one that was released a while ago :) Run Sackboy could be fun too ^_^
As for games that were meant to come out on Vita along with the PS4 versions, pretty much all of the games that have been announced for both the PS4 and Vita have had their priorities set on releasing the PS4 version first then working on the Vita version since Sony has been trying to push the PS4 more than the Vita (of course, due to PS4’s enormous sales). What this means for us in the Vita or PS3 owner category is that we will get a few of the “indie” games that were announced for the Vita after the PS4 version is done (Axiom Verge, Bastion, etc.). The bad news is of course we’ll get them later, but the good news is that the teams might have more time to fix bugs or the reviews for the games will be available for the game on PS4 before we get to buy it. I don’t blame Axiom Verge for this for example, it’s made by one guy. I hope the reviews for it are good and I hope it sells well :)
Sony, here’s an idea, why don’t you cancel The Drop completely, like you have canceled the Monday PS Plus update? We will find out what new games/DLCs are dropping on Tuesday itself anyway with the Store Update post. There is nothing we can do knowing the new products a couple of days in advance, just like, by your logic, there is nothing we can do knowing the prices of these new products a couple of days in advance.
So just cancel The Drop posts, so you won’t need a full-time person to reformat the blurbs submitted by other people into a table, push a ‘publish’ button on Sunday, babysit it for 5 minutes (or 10 comments, whichever is earlier) and post some beyond/smiley replies (to show that he indeed meets his quota).
Either do The Drop right and include the prices, or don’t do it at all. Everyone can wait till Tuesday, right?
As I’ve told you in the past, the choice to keep the Drop just about new games (and give folks something to read on the weekend) was a long-standing team decision. I took your feedback to my colleagues and we decided to keep The Drop as is (for now).
I appreciate your passion on the topic, but let’s keep the discourse here civil.
Axiom Verge!! Remote Play will be like I’m playing the Vita version launch day!! Day one!! Mx vs. ATV Untamed I might have to check out too if the price is right, that’s a classic game!!
Wow, lots of game for PS4 and Vita. Yayy. Are you guys going to have us wait a whole full week for the April PS Plus games? It seems unfair if the last day of March happens to fall on a tuesday. Can at least announce them on tuesday? I would love to know as to what is coming on April 7th.
there is a demo for toukiden kiwami and it’s basically a monster hunter clone, if you want monster hunter on vita/ps4 there you go. takes a bit to get used to and get past the boring missions (like 5 missions are stupid kill 10 little monster missions) it’s pretty good. I’ll probably pick it up on ps4.
I just wanted to echo the comment, earlier— SHADOW TOWER?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
What a pleasant surprise. I knew I was going to check out Axiom Verge this week, but now I’m more excited for Shadow Tower. I love the Souls series from From Software, so I naturally always wanted to check out Shadow Tower & King’s Field games. Now it’s time for the King’s Field PlayStation games! weeeee
I’m pretty confidant that Shadow Tower is worth the money. Outdated graphics & controls or not, I’m ready to get lost in that darn dungeon… and die over-and-over again.
Ryan I don’t know why you lied to gamers each week…
When gamers asks questions you say I get back with you never do and used an excuse office is closed now
now ya are saying you took gummycore concerns to the staff . i bet you didn’t take his concerns at all because al you do type stupid pointless crap like beyond and :)
I don’t even care if i get ban because if i do i know the truth hurts same typical lazy sony responses like usual
I’m so frustrated with Sony. Seriously. The best they offer us on the vita is ports, indie games and now ports of indie games. They truly deserve to not have sales skyrocket for their lack of supporting systems the way fans want. They produce games in large quantity of crap titles but can’t put anything decent on the vita. Don’t get me wrong the vita has great games that came out a year or more ago. Now I have to look forward to nothing but anime and indie games that are great minus there all there has been coming out for awhile. They could do so great with the system by producing what Americans want and sell systems but they are not focused on what Americans want. They watch the statistics of what sells rather than making what sells. If I was involved with there production I would sell vita’s. Hell make a heavenly sword 2 exclusive to the vita or skyrim down graded and I bet they would sell… Although they prefer loss of sales by not producing anything besides ports and now ios games to the vita. Such an absolute shame and disgrace for an impressive machine gone to waste by ignorance from the top of sony’s lack of consumer recognition.
Even though it’s cross buy, I’m going to wait until Axiom Verge comes to vita. I’m sure that by the time the vita version comes out (if ever, probably 6 months)it will have been on sale multiple times. Sick of the vita delays(probably forced by SCEA) No Vita No Buy!
definitely getting shadow tower, i love some psone games on the vita and was worried the psone classics line would be replaced with psnow (streaming sounds cool but i would much rather download these old games)
AXIOM VERGE.
Hey Ryan question for you. About a month or so ago you guys had a game called Teslagrad listed on a Drop but it got delayed at the last minute. There has been no news since. Do you know if they game is still planning to release here in the US or not?
Hey Mercenary, great question. I don’t have any information on that but I’ll ask around tomorrow. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
