Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) Hits PS Vita May 9th

Hey everyone, John Vignocchi, Vice President of Production on Disney Infinity with exciting news on the launch of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) for Sony’s PS Vita handheld system.

Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition): Marvel Super Heroes

You may recall that we first revealed this version of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) during PlayStation Experience last December, and now it’s finally here! PS Vita owners can start playing and creating their own adventures featuring some of their favorite Disney and Marvel characters on this amazing platform.

Featuring an all-new and exclusive Black Suit Spider-Man figure, the PS Vita Starter Pack also includes the Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) video game, the Disney Infinity Wireless Base which connects via Bluetooth, a Marvel’s Spider-Man Play Set Piece, both Marvel Super Heroes Toy Box Game Discs, a Web Code Card and a USB Recharging Cable.

The Black Suit Spider-Man figure will be fully compatible with the console version of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition), but it will be making an exclusive debut to the Disney Infinity universe through PS Vita.

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) for PS Vita will be available exclusively at GameStop for $59.99, starting on Saturday, May 9, 2015.

Before I go, I’d like to personally thank Adam Creighton and the team at Panic Button Games in Austin, TX for all of their hard work to get this version of the game out the door.

Also, special shout-out to Adam Boyes and the Third Party team at SCEA for encouraging us to get Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) onto PS Vita. It is pretty wild to play the full experience on that beautiful, small screen!

And last but certainly not least – Thank you to all of our loyal Disney Infinity fans and PS Vita owners. We really hope you guys like it!

  • Any plans on fixing the lag and long loading times? I just loaded a new blank city toy box and my Vita’s screen is going to turn off before it finishes loading

  • Portal is excellent. Wish it were available to use on the consoles. It’s a little slower, but it’s worth it to have it closer to you. And no batteries! So awesome. <3

@51: Yeah, tapping the analog is soooo hard. Hell, just rest your fingers on the backtouch.

The loading is pretty bad in general for the game, did you play it on PS4? It's better on PS4 of course, but it's not really fast either.

  • Sucks the game was handled the way it was though. It’s going to tank for sure and we definitely won’t be getting 3.0 now and they’ll justify that by bad 2.0 sales.

    Barely talked about at all.
Release date announced days before it came out.
Delayed Canada release without any real indicators as to why, no EB Games.ca preorders for it.
Limited retailer availability. [not even amazon? come on]
    No footage.

And it imo would have been better to have just done the game, portal and Spidey. I’m sure most people have the playset and toy box games. I know I do. The bundle is a good value, but it could have sold more at a lower price point that factored in that most people buying would probably already own the other stuff. [and I know 2 skus wouldn’t have happened] Oh well.

    It is what it is.

  • Well, I guess we can assume the chances of us getting 3.0.

It’s a shame. If they had tried to make this work beyond some sort of contractual obligation, then 2.0 would probably get many more sales than it’s going to. I don’t think that kids are just going to magically know they can now play this game on the go.

  • une demo de disney infinity serai super avec le open world se qui dise que sais bien ecrivait comme moi pour montrer a sony que serai super

  • comme sur 3ds mais en mieux s’il vous plait
