Will there be a pre order for Ultra Street Fighter IV on PS4?
Don’t abandon the sales table listings. Its much faster to view on this page, lists original price, sales price, PS+ price(some wouldn’t even know price if they weren’t logged in or a PS+ member), great for cross referencing what the store is suppose to be reporting but isn’t, and sometimes the PSN store does not list all the deals in the all deal section as I have found on several occasions(and you would have nothing to cross reference it against).
Guess I no longer need to visit the blog anymore if that’s what it’s turning into as flash sales usually hit other game news sites as well.

(This week’s other song – Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd – Though My Song Has No Form – is showing up free for download, as it should since I paid for the Song Club.)
Can someone over there fix Electric Angel? I’d rather not be double-charged. Thanks!

Oh, and let me add my tiny voice here to the others calling for a return to listing the sale prices in the blog post.
If I have to go to the store to see that information, why come to the store update on the blog at all? Frankly, the web store is slow and downright painful to navigate. The store on the Vita is even worse – at least for showing sales information. So, how about throwing your customers a bone and keep listing the sales here where they’re easy to read?
#55: Yeah, I’d actually buy that stuff if it were cross-buy with Vita. It’s not like the Vita can’t handle old arcade games.
The store’s interface is absolutely god-awful and barely even functional. That’s why I come here to check the sales, so I don’t have to put up with that abysmal bloatware store site unless I actually buy something.

Please continue to list the weekly deals here on the blog in the usual table format: Not only does that make it much easier to plan what to buy each week but it also serves as a great archival tool for data wonks like myself when referencing past sales. :)

PSN would list bundles, price changes, app updates and themes but they are too embarrassed to list “discounts” which is the most important. After clicking the link for the discounts, we all know why PSN didn’t want to show their discounts. The discounts are absolutely horrible so lets stop showing them and people will stop complaining. Nope! C’mon Sony. You are much better than this. It seems like the more successful the PS4 got, PSN/PS+ stop trying.

Two pages of people complaining about the ridiculous layout and the PS Now PS3 subscription being absent on the day of release and not one response from a Sony representative clarifying these issues. I rarely comment on this blog, but I am extremely upset with the lazy and unprofessional customer service being displayed here.
Not happy with this release and extremely pis**d at aquare. When the remake was announced, one of the creators (or somebody else) said that they would not release it to PS4 (due to whatever reason). So, I bought the pre-order collectors edition version instead of waiting for the PS4 one. Now they released a more-special-pre-order-collectors-edition-version for PS4…. Ok… my problem…. But be aware of this: Every single game square releases is, later, released with a “a little bit more special version”. That happened with almost all remakes and a lot of new releases. So, from now on, I will not buy a single pre-order from them. Also, it seems not only square but also Sony, are facing this problems. Mostly in UK (also other countries in Europe) pre-order sales are dropping down faster then Russian Spaceships. Just released games are also taking a huge hit. It is becoming interesting to wait a bit to buy the same game with 50% discount (or more) about 6 months after the game is released….
Looking forward to Color Guardians and the new Project Diva DLC songs.

I rarely comment here, but I wanted to take the time and say that I too vastly prefer the other way of showing sales. It’s really helpful to see the original price, sale price, and PS+ price all in one place along with convenience of seeing it all on the same page for all the other new updates for the week. Please change this back for next week!
I have to say I very much dislike the new layout. What’s the point of coming to the blog when they just redirect to the store? With a quick look, at the layout with the regular price/sale price/plus price, I could see if there was anything good and the difference in numbers would make it easier for me to see if it was a good deal. The store page is bloated, slow, and I only go there when I’m going to buy something.
I’m not going to beg. Sony can do whatever they want, but right now I’m less interested, less willing to spend money on the store (haven’t checked it yet) and less eager to next tuesday’s update post.

Whenever I see a title that has multiple paid dlc packs upon launch, I get wary. I just shelled out full price for a game, I would hope it includes all of the content that the developers could cram in there, without me having to spend what amounts to the price of the game AGAIN, in order to get the rest of th content. DLC should be coming out a month or two after release.
This is why I haven’t bought hell divers yet. because im sure that eventually they’ll release a “game of the year edition” that includes everything for the same price. Dlc should be there to keep a player interested in a title over time, but nowadays it’s just a cash grab. That’s what soul sacrifice did, AND it was free, but after having owned the game for a few months, i wouldn’t mind dropping a few more bucks on it. Many developers get it right.
KOEI is notorious for this. They release dynasty Warriors COMPLETE EDITION, yet it has tons of paid dlc. Yeah. Real COMPLETE!
Bad move. I also prefer the old style of listing sales. My wallet is safe this week.

One of the Hatsune Miku songs (Electric Angel) isn’t free for me even though I bought the song pack. Unless it’s not supposed to come with that? That would be weird. Anyway, just gonna wait and hope that gets fixed I guess

Why is Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd “Electric Angel” still costing $2.99 when I already Purchased the Song Club DLC???
I noticed something else, and have a screen cap to prove it. Defense Grid 2 is listed as a deal at $14.99. The price was changed LAST WEEK to a new regular price of $14.99. That, along with all three versions of Akiba’s Trip are NOT sales. That’s why Sony decided not to list the sales on the blog this week, to hide the fact that FOUR games that are on a “deal” this week are actually not on sale at all.

I have the song club for Project diva F2nd, and, in the playstation store, the last DLC song isn’t free as the previous ones, it appears with the price of $2.99, can you tell me if it is an error or something else?

Yes, that is the Canadian price difference. The difference in price between the ‘States and Canada is becoming absurd. Whereas historically they’ve always been the same, regardless of exchange rate, recently the prices in Canada have gone up by a ridiculous margin. They’re going up to $80 for pre-orders. That’s a 30% increase in about 2 years. That is CRAZY. I want to pre-order Disgaea 5, but at that price there NO WAY I’m buying it. I don’t know why prices are suddenly going up when they’ve always been the same, when the exchange rate’s been worse before.

Its so infuriating to watch the company I’ve supported for so long tty their damnedest to push me away.
I do love to see classic arcade games showing up on new consoles, but I really wish you would start listening to everyone who think they are a bit over priced.
You are offering pretty bare bones emulation here for $8 per games. With all due respect to the games, they aren’t all arcade hits from the past. When you compare with other releases you’ll find these being much more.
Take for example Double Dragon Trilogy by DotEmu for Android/Kindle/iOS. It’s $2.99 for ALL THREE Double Dragon games.
$1 per game and in fact it has been on a sale a couple times for 50% off of that.
The Kindle Fire version also includes Cross-Buy with the Amazon Fire TV so you can play it on a large display.
Just consider keeping them under $5 ea. I think you would find more of them selling at this MSRP.

I wish you guys would fix the PS3 store. It crashes all the time now. I hate trying to buy something only to be kicked back to my home screen. You lose business because of this.
So, since PS Now Subscriptions for PS3 clearly aren’t out on May 12 like promised, when can we expect them?
Got FFX remaster and thinking about toren but with so many games on my backlog and the witcher 3 is a week, when will I have time to play it??? hmm, decisions.
I check this post every week for the sales information, and have for years. Please list the sales as you used to and don’t link to the store. On the store I can’t see what the discount percentage or original price was and they don’t load in a single page concise format.
Please don’t do this next week, include a text list of the sales, if you want to hyperlink each game that’d be great, but bring back the text sales list or I’ll start missing the sales altogether.
