You’ve asked for it and we listened. Today we finally get to announce that Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception are being released for the PS4 in the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, available October 9, 2015!
Since the launch of the PS4, we’ve seen plenty of requests across our Twitter, Facebook, and message boards all over the internet to provide remastered releases for the first three games in the Uncharted series, which sold an amazing 21+ million copies and garnered an average 92 Metacritic rating. We couldn’t agree more. What better way to prepare for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End than to revisit – or play for the first time – the first three games that launched the fortune hunting icon that is Nathan Drake?
Early last month, Eric and I took a trip to Austin on the down low to visit the incredible team at Bluepoint Games to check out Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection in person and get ready for this announcement. What we’ve seen of the game so far looks fantastic!
The team at Bluepoint Games is incomparable regarding their portfolio of ports and remastered releases, and we’ve been working closely with them to bring over our engine to make Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an exemplary game. That means not only delivering the single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models, but also adding a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies. We put together the list of these improvements and additions based on countless forum posts, messages, Tweets, and even through personal conversations we’ve had with a number of you over the years. More on these specifics in future updates.
By pre-ordering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection today, you can receive the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits as well as everyone’s favorite weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. If you pre-order the digital download via the PlayStation Store, you will also get an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme as an immediate download.
Oh, and one other important note, buying the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection grants you exclusive access to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer Beta version (while the Beta is available, of course.)

Very excited to play these again. Glad to leave multiplayer behind. There will be plenty of time for that when Uncharted 4 hits next year. I will gladly play these again via remote play. Thank you, Sony.

Stuff like this really bothers me and pisses me off. This is the reason we can’t have backward compatibility. Companies want to re-sell us games that we already brought. Why not just give us backward compatibility on the PS4 with PS3 digital purchases? If I brought a game digitally on my PS3, then I should get to play it on my PS4 at no additional cost? We already do this on mobile and PC. Also, cross-buy should be standard for PS3 and PS4 for all games. If a game is coming out on PS3 and PS4, then I should be able to buy both copies at one price. If you want to add an upgrade fee, I am fine with that though I think that is greedy too. I know upgrade was available in the beginning but it was limited. It should be standard. Now I am ok with you putting in restrictions to prevent me from playing games at the same time.
To me this leads to a bigger issue on are games art or just a product to sell. I love Uncharted and I will, unfortunately, buy this but I feel this is wrong. I already bought it digitally on my PS3.
Where is my multiplayer? There is no reason for people to buy this collection if they have already played the game.

A few questions:
1. Will it come with Uncharted 2’s MP? Wasn’t a fan of U3 MP.
2. Any chance Golden Abyss HD will be coming in the future to PS4?
3. Will any of our data transfer over? (I know it’s a long stretch but felt like asking anyway.)
Oh and thank you for choosing Bluepoint BTW. They are the masters of the remaster. AKA the team that should’ve done the port for USF4 and NOT Other Ocean.

I might look into this. I was thinking of hooking the PS3 up and going back to play these, now I can wait until October and do it again. Price might hold me back, if $60, that is $20 each game, and not bad.

Naughty dog is the only studio that can get me to buy remasters.
/sigh.. no thanks, and I think this will have to be the last generation of games for me. I just can’t, as an adult in good conscience, keep spending money on next generation platforms if all companies are going to do is continue to devote resources to repackaging games that are just a few years old to resell with a new game’s price tag. Especially disappointed if U4 was delayed until next year as a marketing ploy to push this down our throats for the holidays, along with the tacked on multiplayer and “beta”.

2. If “yes,” will the DLC be included?

1. Please make a TLoU DLC pack for UC4. I’m thinking Joel, Elly, Clicker, David, etc. as skins. Maps would be cool though too.
2. Playstation Hero DLC for UC4 would be cool too. Like how Cole and Zeke were in UC2. Maybe Delsin, Galahad, another Helghast?

It’s so beautiful!! Thank you Sony for doing this. These are my #1 favorite games on any Playstation console. This is another great day in gaming! I cannot wait to play these again in Remastered form. Just about to get Platinum on Uncharted Drake’s Fortune. I think I will finish that off since I am so close and play Uncharted Drake’s Fortune again for fun in Remastered form. I have played all of these when they released just decided to go back and get Platinum. :)
Damn i was really hoping for the multiplayer of UC2 came back to life after this release. It is by far the most enjoyable MP for me and my friends. With so many new players to play this game, the MP would have had a rebirth!! IMO a missed change for ND.
Multiplayer is key to this game for many fans.

No multiplayer seems like a real miss, especially with all the newcomers to Playstation this gen. Well, it’s nice to see that series newcomers will be able to experience these fantastic adventures in one great package, but multiplayer is the one thing I would have picked this up for. Enjoy newcomers!

I’m finding the value proposition of this game to be pretty dubious at $60. I don’t care that the MP modes were removed since I never played them anyway, but a lot of people DID. Plus, I feel like we paid a LOT less last generation for compilations like Sly Cooper that also required a LOT more work to port over and were better games than these 3 Uncharted games (1 is at best average IMO & 3 is terrible). And on top of all that, Golden Abyss isn’t included. It you were only going to be doing SP Uncharted experiences, you could have at least done an HD version of that.
Incidentally, that cover art is terrible for a series that has so much great artwork.
Three of the best single-player campaigns I’ve ever played on PS3, in one collection, remastered for PS4, without those pesky multiplayer trophies? I’m sold.
Also…it appears to me that everyone complaining about “no multiplayer” completely overlooked or missed the part about the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta. There’s your multiplayer right there.
As an xbox360 –> ps4 convert i’m really excited for this! Played some of the old Uncharted games on PS Now and they are timeless. Can’t wait to see them with upgraded graphics.

Kewel. I never got around to playing these because I had a gut feeling a remastered trilogy was coming. Glad I waited.
A few problems with this…1 being a potential problem?
1. Will this be on disc or will it be digital? If it’s digital only… It’ll make people start a rage war online.
2. NO GOLDEN ABYSS?!?! WHY?!?!?! They still have time so maybe they can just include it in there?
Anyway, with this being made, why can’t you guys do a “Kratos Collection” for PS3 (on disc) with:
– God of War
– God of War 2
– God of War 3
– God of War Ascension
– God of War Ghost of Sparta
– God of War Chains of Olympus
Come on Sony! Make it happen! Oh and please hurry up and do whatever it takes to get Rise of Tomb Raider for PS4. There’s no way that game is a permanent Xbox One exclusive. It seems like a timed exclusive for like 6 months or something.
Oh my goodness, when I first heard this news, I jumped up and down on my bed excited and happy. I only played Uncharted 2 on the PS3, but have not played the 1st nor 3rd; this is the opportunity for me to play them through this collection and this should keep me occupied til Uncharted 4. I can’t wait to try to out the UC4 multiplayer beta. Thank you Playstation giving us this gem. I am highly highly highly excited for this.

No multiplayer? Not even one of them? Highly disappointing. Also the preorder skins you are trying to sell me were included in the original game’s release. Really disappointed in you. U4 “beta” is how you’re going to make up for cutting out half of U3’s overall value and a quarter of U2’s value? Sure, then take away this “beta” in its practically-complete form and proceed to ask us to pay $60 for it again. Can’t wait to see all the preorder bonus BS and day 0 DLC map packs you throw at us for U4.
Was all excited for this until i read the NO MULTILAYER part. Was the only reason i wanted it really, still got my ps3 hooked up though, so i guess it just saves me money for UC4.
