PlayStation Underground: Destiny and the House of Wolves

Welcome back to PlayStation Underground, our online show about video games! Today, we go underground with Destiny: House of Wolves, the latest expansion to Bungie’s sweeping, sci-fi opus. Specifically, we gear up and enter the brutal Prison of Elders, a wave-based arena mode that pits Guardians against voracious enemies in exchange for legendary rewards.

My colleague and friend Justin brings his own, hand-selected team into the Prison of Elders for our entertainment. Will this stoic team of three endure the opposition and emerge victorious, showered with glittering treasures? Or will their shoulders tremble beneath the weight of crushing defeat? Spoilers: it’s the latter.

You your Hair Ryan! Looks good though man.

Been playing HoW since it came out. It’s a huge fix for the game and makes it so much better than before.

Laughable. Urrox is so easy. A Defender Titan’s Bubble wih Armor or Blessing & Orb Generation from damage sustained is all You need, then the other teammates jus need to make orbs for the next Bubble. Justin’s team were ‘Scaredy Cat’ self reviving Warlocks(I only watched midway thru & never saw the Hunter use any abilities, so idk if He was Bladedancer or Gunsinger. My guess is ‘Vanilla Guardian with no abilities’)

So I’m contemplating the best way to respond to this video.

The first thing is you are NOT the only one to shoot a rocket into geometry, Justin. I am frequently killed by the mysterious “Architects.” ;)

Now Thorn and Vex? See, in my PvE Destiny experience there is only room in my heart for one exotic, and you know which one that is.

I break into my Variks imitation when we wipe and say that we “put the sucks in success, yesss???” to which my teammates typically break out laughing. :P

Fun game for sure.

Woefully overpriced DLC which should have been included in the base game. Destiny and most moder games are a ripoff in my eyes. I have a friend who got the House of Wolves DLC and said it gave him about an hour or new single player content. All for 19.99!!

Dear Sony,

1. Please remove the 10% PS3 OS reserve. Currently, you are reserving 105GB of my 1TB (931GB usable) HDD. At this late in the console cycle that is unnecessary. You currently have a 12GB PS3 where you are only reserving 5GB. Please instead just reserve 5GB on all other PS3 also. Thank you.
2. Please allow up to install, backup, and load individual games from an external HDD connected to the PS3. Every time I am download a new game to my PS3, I have to spend hours backing up my entire HDD. I should be able to just have to backup that one specific game to a backup HDD that I am using. Thank you.
3. Please enable 2 step verification for PSN and give us the ability to add a recovery email and phone number too. Also, a pin number to access PSN for those of us who have our password save on our PS3. Your service is regularly hacked. I would like to protect my account. Thank you.

Too many critics with too much time and not enough gray matter to figure out that it’s called a game for a reason. HoW is a welcomed addition to an unprecedented gaming experience that focuses on entertainment, success, and elimination of cheaters, hackers, and adolescent adults (as seen by law only) that find 4th grade humor amusing with filthy worded character names, pre pubescent behavior. I love the game, developer ideas and methodology. People that complain about it are exactly the ones that need to be eradicated and go back to. Halo, DCUO, COD, and other ghetto rat infested gaming. DESTINY, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
