And now, without further ado, let’s dig into the PLAY 2015 lineup:

Journey

Journey

JourneyJourney

Journey for PS4 creates another opportunity for gamers everywhere to play the award-winning title, now in stunning 1080p. Awakening in an unknown world, the player walks, glides, and flies through a vast and awe-inspiring landscape — traveling alone or teaming up with other strangers they meet along the way — while discovering the history of an ancient, mysterious civilization.

N++

N++

N++N++

N++ is a fast-paced, action-packed puzzle-platformer set in the distant future. You play as a ninja — darting through obstacles, narrowly evading a slew of inadvertently homicidal enemy robots, and collecting gold in a minimalist, sci-fi world. You know, traditional ninja stuff. N++ has thousands of hand-crafted levels, each featuring a series of difficult challenges, diabolical traps, and a distinct visual style to nimbly soar through. And if that weren’t enough, there’s also a built-in level editor (plus global level sharing and leaderboards)!

GALAK-Z

GALAK-Z

GALAK-ZGALAK-Z

Classic anime, ’90s spaceship shooters, and precision arcade gameplay collide in GALAK-Z. Shockingly smart enemies work together and track your every move as you hone your skills to pilot your ship in zero gravity. A living and interactive environment serves as the stage for your physics-based death ballet in this hand-drawn homage to anime dreams.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture

Everybody's Gone to the RaptureEverybody's Gone to the Rapture

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture transports the player back to the moments leading up to the apocalypse to explore the choices people make when they’re faced with world-shattering events beyond their control. The Chinese Room, the innovative studio behind the award-winning Dear Esther, continues to push the genre of experimental storytelling with this PS4 exclusive.

* Coupon code will be delivered via email, XMB message (PS3), and system message (PS4/PS Vita) on 9/1/15. Redemption period ends 9/30/15, 11:59PM PT.

    Well it’s nice that once again I don’t have to re-buy a game I owned and loved on PS3, but the only other thing besides Journey worth owning is Everyone’s Gone To The Rapture. So when’s Ethan Carter coming? Also give us more weird and artsy stuff I throw money at you guys every time something like The Unfinished Swan, Datura, or Rain comes out. Seriously I’m begging you guys to put out more insane and visually enriched adventures!

  • Rapture looks interesting but wow, not at that price. The rest, not so much. $20 for indies seems to be becoming base price which is not a good sign. Guess Sony has to make their money here very few attractive full titles until 2016 or later. I’ll wait and catch it on sale. Looks like PS3 is being dumped with the VITA. So much for supporting all the people who financed the PS4 by supporting PS3. Hope this week’s sale has something to look forward to.

  • Perfect! Will snag Journey (sadly I own the physical copy so no crossbuy for me) and Rapture, and then hunker down with my coupon and hope for a September release of No Man’s Sky!

  • I bought Journey on the ps3. and its cross buy, does that count as one of my 2 purchases or do i need to buy 2 others to get the 10% off. also if i want the theme for pre ordering it, and it wont let me do it cuz it says i already have it on ps3. how do i get that?

  • I totally want Galak Z it look cool great gameplay footage.

    Stuff like this makes me glad I’m not a regular PS+ member anymore. Their quality went downhill ever since the PS4 requires PS+ subscriptions for online gaming.

  • I was gonna buy N++ and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and preorder Until Dawn with the coupon code, but if the code is delivered September 1st, I’ll just not buy EGTTR.

  • How do Cross-Buy owners of Journey download the Theme? Please respond.

  • Apparently I can’t buy or pre-order Journey for PS4 because I have already purchased the “Journey Full Game Unlock”. I do own the game digitally for PS3, but I’m curious as to why this would prevent me from buying the PS4 version. Does this mean that the PS4 version will be retroactively cross-buy (meaning that I already own it because I own the PS3 version)? Not that I’m desperate to rebuy Journey, but unless there’s cross-platform play in the works this doesn’t make a lot of sense.

    • Oops, sorry, I went over the article again and noticed the “*cross-buy title” fine print. This is great news…I’ve owned Journey for what feels like forever, but never got around to playing it. Now that I’ll apparently be able to play it on PS4, not only will I finally make the time to play it but I’ll also stream it so I can share the experience with others.

    • What’s great is the servers will be full of people when this comes out again on PS4, so you won’t have to worry about not finding players for the online component.

      I am honestly kind of jealous of all the people getting to play it for the first time on current gen hardware. :|

  • I have the digital PS3 version of Journey. When trying to pre-order it’s listed as unavailable. The reason is because I already purchased it. So Journey PS4 is cross-buy with PS3.

    • Seems that way.

    • Awesome news I got the same message so as long as I can just click download when it comes out I have no complaints. But if I have to repurchase after it comes out and I couldn’t pre order just because of this then I’d be annoyed.

  • Hmm funny…a game that has already been released years ago on the PLAY promotion.Sony stop trying to make people think recycled games are new games.Get that Journey outta there….what a shame to the PLAY promotion,this one’s already the worse because of this….honestly its an insult to us gamers.

  • Whoooooooo, Finally Galak-Z 10000 Times yes!!!!!

  • So on the PSN store it says if I preorder Journey I get a free theme. However since I already own Journey on the PS3, it won’t let me preorder it. Does that mean I miss out on the free theme?! Cause that’s a sack of bologney!
