Lynda Chen's Avatar Posted by on Sep 29, 2015 // Sr. Manager Product Marketing, PlayStation Vue

I’m pleased to announce two new network channels have been added to PlayStation Vue. Starting today, you can access EPIX Hits and Machinima straight from your PS4 and PS3.

EPIX Hits subscribers on PlayStation Vue will have access to the new channel and on-demand library of thousands of titles, including blockbuster hits like The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (premieres 10/23), Transformers: Age of Extinction and more. Here’s how you can get EPIX Hits on PlayStation Vue:

Epix Hits

Nationwide Select Markets with Multi-Channel Packages
  • Available as a premium pack with SHOWTIME for $13.99 per month ($11.49 for PlayStation Plus members). Users new to both services can get a 30-day free trial for the premium pack.
  • Included in Elite package ($69.99)
  • Add-on to the Access and Core packages for $3.99 ($2.99 for PlayStation Plus members)

As a special launch promotion, users who subscribe to the premium pack for EPIX Hits and SHOWTIME in 2015 will receive special pricing of $11.49 (or $9.99 for PS Plus members) for one year.

Machinima is also debuting its first premium TV channel on PlayStation Vue, which features daily entertainment shows and the most innovative programming from the gaming and fandom universe, along with new gameplay and hundreds of hours of the best content curated from the Machinima network.

Machinima

Nationwide Select Markets with Multi-Channel Packages
  • Available as a standalone offering nationwide for $3.99 per month ($1.99 a month for PS Plus members).
  • Subscribers will get a free 30-day trial to Machinima.
  • Included in Elite package ($69.99)

In addition, PlayStation Vue is hitting the road with Adult Swim for its national 2015 Adult Swim Drive-In event. We’re joining the tour in Houston, Dallas, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Fans can expect hands-on demos for PlayStation Vue, as well as great prizes. For more information on the event, click here.

Starting today, [a very limited number of PlayStation users] can access EPIX Hits and Machinima straight from your PS4 and PS3.

To be honest, i’m ok never having access to Vue. PS had the opportunity to enter the tv world and do things better than cable, but they decided to follow the same stale out-dating business model. Too bad.

It would be great if it could launch nation wide.
Even better in other countries.

This service needs to come to PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV. A 4G Vita that allowed the streming of Vue anywhere would be a major boost to the platform. Give us a Vita that can replace the terrible smartphones that have taken over the mobile space.

Otherwise, I am extreamly happy wihthe service so far. Keep up the great, work. I look forward to more a la carte channels, and enhanced features that aresure to come.

I was expecting new cities to be announced as well.

Also the whole menu needs to be available as Ala carte, I’d subscribe if I could get only a sport package without having to pay for the other channels I’ll never be interested. How about $15/month for all the sport channels you offer?

I have cable for one reason Soccer and you guys are missing the channel’s I love and most use and love. Like Beiñ español. . Espn en Español. . Fox deportes en español. . Uni mas deportes. . That way I could watch premier spanish italian and German soccer like I’m doing now in your competitors.

Does Epix Hits have any other movie than the ones already available on Hulu and/or Amazon? Epix main channel has some cool movies like Interstellar, but it doesn’t seem to be available on Epix Hits.

Sony is moving in the right direction, but with my current cable set up, Vue isn’t worth switching to. I’m eagerly awaiting for PS Vue to catch up to cable so I can cut the cord! Hopefully Vue will get channels like NatGeo, Science & History Channel…these are the main reasons I watch TV or have cable.

Good Move Sony…just not too good for me to switch…Just Yet.
