LittleBigPlanet 3: Back to the Future Arrives Today!

It’s October 21st, 2015 today and Sackboy has a brand new adventure in the Back to the Future Level Kit.

LittleBigPlanet: Back to the Future

A Brand New Level for Sackboy, Marty, and Doc!

Sackboy joins Marty and Doc in 1955 for an exciting journey across Hill Valley! They work together to travel through time via temporary temporal portals to collect the items they need to power-up the DeLorean Time Machine. The mission? Give it enough power to return them all back to the future!

New Power-up: The Hoverboard

It’s always a race against time with Marty and Doc, so you’re going to need the help of a Hoverboard to help speed across each time period of Hill Valley and showcase your hoverboarding skills by grinding across rails.

  • Nothing for Swoop? I mean… It’s not like the retrofitted DeLorean didn’t fly and have ‘gull wing’ doors. XD

  • Though I love the bullet hole in ‘Doc’s’ 1885 hat. :D

  • I am a bit confused does this have single player missions? Other than that sounds and looks cool.

  • New trophies? Hopefully so.

    • There aren’t any new Trophies or Pins this time around.

    • Can’t we get proper DLC that has multiple levels and a story? Why are you licensing all the rights to these franchises (Adventure Time and now BTTF) and just make a dumb 1-level corridor about grabbing all the collectibles?

What happened? In LBP2 we had the Toy Story Pack and the Muppets Pack, both excellent DLC and Level packs for about the same price!

  • Does this cost money or is it free for today?

    • Paid DLC.

Great timing due to the film’s anniversary & well, it’s a fun world to play in!

    • Back to the Future Level Kit – $4.99

Back to the Future Costume Pack – $5.99 (each) and includes exclusive OddSock costume.

Back to the Future Single Costume – $1.99 (each)

  • Argh. $12 for all the Costumes. I really have to think about this..

That level kit tho, I’ll be buying.

  • Given how horribly buggy the main game was, and the glitched trophies with the last pack, I find myself relieved this does not have trophies.

I have saved money and aggravation.

  • Any chance of a “package” price where you get the level kit and costumes for one price? That’s how it was for the DC Comics DLC and I thought it was brilliant. Was hoping that trend would continue.

  • Well Steveni at least now we know how you and Sumo plan to fix bugs sooner :p by the will bug blaster ever be updated like spacesuit and beta vest to be available for other characters?

  • Steveni will there be any Starwars dlc in December? I could see a wookie/ ewok for toggle and AT-AT oddsock various ship costumes for swoop. And who doesn’t want a 3sack-p-o

  • Still not seeing dlc in the store

  • So I guess LBPVita is (un)officially dead………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………sigh.

  • I can’t find this anywhere to download!! I really want to get them.. help!!!

    • I spent 20 minutes on the phone with support and they claim that the dlc was removed from the store but will be put back up and it isn’t limited to just today… but i’m not buying it.. very disappointed….

  • The inconsistency of the Store update is very frustrating. It’s nearly 6PM here on the east coast and this DLC is a no show. I’d really like to give it a play while I still have time…

  • where is it? been waiting all day for this

  • 7:40pm here still no sign of this in the store,
this keeps up it will be October 22,not exactly a BTTF day then.

  • Just like to confirm that about 6:45 p.m. the level kit did appear in my store Mountain time zone October 21st 2015
