  • Enjoy the Drop! *returns to Fallout 4*

  • If you own Beyond Two Souls on-disc, do you have to rebuy it for PS4?

  • Just one question. I know Europe is getting a physical edition of both Heavy Rain and Beyond. Do you know if it’s also heading over here, or we just have the digital collections? Thanks.

  • Hi I heard the Playstation UK is asking gamers on twitter what PS2 games they want to see on PS4. Are u guys, the NA Playstation team doing the same. Please consider asking as well. Thank you. :)

    • Hi Ryan do you have anything to say about my other question regarding PS2 games being asked on twitter? I understand if you can’t comment.

  • Also I’m glad you guys added a reply thing to the blogs, could you add an “Edit” option too.

  • Id really like to play Beyond again, but it’s such a crowded time for games…

Let me finish Metal Gear and Fallout, actually play more than an hour of Until Dawn, open Dragon Quest Heroes to play and finally get a few more raids in Destiny done and get past 310.

After clearing some of those, I will buy it ASAP, though.

    • That’s quite the schedule! Dare I remind you that Just Cause 3 is right around the corner, too, which I am flipping out about. :-D

    • Wow, it seemed like you were responding to an actual PSN user. Great job, Clements!

    • dude, i’ve given up hope on finishing all my games. my expectation is that things slow down after Uncharted 4 and Street Fighter V. i’d hate to see God of War 4 next month at this playstation event………………………………………

Just Cause 3 is my very next title, plans to get Battlefront in a couple weeks.

  • Any updates on when Yakuza 5 is releasing? November was the latest it was said to be released.

  • Very nice. As a reminder, purchasing Beyond: Two Souls for PS4 entitles you to Heavy Rain PS4 when it releases next year, too :-)

  • Any news on Yakuza 5 release date?

  • PS2 Classics Wish List:
    – Silent Hill 2/3/The Room/Origins (i don’t like HD remasters)
    – Valkyrie Profile 2 Silmeria
    – Obscure 1/2
    – Xenosaga 1/2/3

    • Definitely yes to Xenosaga, have you checked out Operation Kos-Mos on social media like twitter and facebook?

    • Or you could, you know, buy a PS2.

Classic games have no use on newer consoles. They play the exact same way with absolutely no added benefit. Thus making them a complete waste of time and effort since its a niche market item in the first place with an even smaller amount of people that would actually put money towards such purchases.

    • death8u4u: You are wrong, check this video for more details:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_sOOVV7e8s

    • That’s your opinion dude. Classic games are always welcome.

    • Nothing I said was an opinion Superstone, I suggest you learn the definition.

Classic games on newer consoles have no new features, hence the word “classics” and not “remakes”.

As far as them being a waste of time and effort, if you don’t think so…explain the literally thousands of classic requests that are never even contemplated by the owners. I’ll answer it for you, businesses run on money. If they spend the money to convert a game over to a classical version on the PS3/PS4 and virtually nobody buys it, they just wasted money. Niche markets are a gamble because of this. Most people, whether you’re capable of acknowledging it or not, have no interest in buying a classical version of a game. Just a factual statement at this point.

And I never said they weren’t welcome might I add. Doesn’t matter what game you’re releasing, someone somewhere will welcome it, just a statistical inevitability. It just makes infinitely more sense to buy the console and the game rather than wait in the hopes that a company will take pity on your poor method of planning and collecting.

    • Actually, Death8u4u, everything you said was an opinion and in most cases a factually incorrect one. The benefit of running a PS2 game on PS3 is the inherit benefit of any digital title in that it has portability and ease of use without a disc as well as being a means of keeping the owned property in a non-degrading format. Additionally, the claim that such a thing is a waste of time is absolutely a subjective matter and indicates that you either don’t understand or are willfully misrepresenting reality.

Clearly you are not upset about any misuse of the word as you have misused it yourself. Rather it seems that you take umbrage with another person expressing a desire for something that does not impact you in any way shape or form. This indicates perhaps a misunderstanding of human interaction which you could probably benefit from examining.

I wish you the best in learning to better understand the definitions of words and the intricacies of human relations.

    • Clearly you have no head for business Lackshmana. Probably a field to steer clear of.

    • Effing brilliant, Lackshmana.

  • When will the other Star Wars classics get released? There are three missing still that the bundle got :-(

  • A few months ago, a Sony exec said BC was not used in the early days of PS3 so they got rid of it and that consumers do not want BC. Yet, several PS1 and PS2 games came to PS3, several PS3 games are coming to PS Now, several PS3 got remastered for PS4, and now a Sony exec admitted they are bringing PS2 games to PS4. Sony, consumers want BC so please give it to us. I refuse to support PS Now. I already brought most of the games on PS Now. I should not have to rent them. Do not make PS Now like Netflix or Redbox. Instead, PS Now should be like iTunes or PS Video. A consumer should be able to buy a PS3 or PS4 game from PSN and be giving the option to download it for offline playing or streaming it online. This is how PS Video works. You can give charge a lil premium for the cloud streaming version like $5. PS Now because it removed ownership. Sony you have my digital purchase lib. Please give me my games on PS Now. Why do you really want me to re-purchase my old games? Yes, I have been spoiled by iOS and Android. If I buy a game on iPhone 4, I can still play that same game on my iPhone 6s plus. You say people do not want BC yet you are giving us PS Now, PS1 and 2 classics, remaster, and remakes. People want this.

  • Also, please remove the 10% OS reserve on HDD. I have a 1.5TB HDD in my PS3 and you guys are reserving over a 130GB. You do not need that much. You can reserve 5GB like you do on the 12GB PS3. Also, please support plug and play for external HDD for the PS3. I already have 144 games installed on my PS3 and would like to install another 100 games but I do not have enough storage.

    • How hard would it be to delete some games? You can’t honestly say you are playing 100+ games all at the same time.

    • @nextleveltaken you are correct I do not play those 100 games all the time. However, I want to save them forever. Eventually, Sony will discontinue the PSN from the PS3 and I will not be able to re-download those games. All the 144 games I have are games that I want to keep. I am going through the remaining 100 games to see what I want to keep or not. But I fear by the time i get through them, PSN on the PS3 will be closed.

    • Okay, seriously, would you learn “computer” already? Sony isn’t reserving anything on your PS3 HDD. If you stuck that HDD into a PC, you’d see the same amount of usable space. It’s a decades old issue at this point that will probably never change. Manufacturers sell HDDs claiming 1000kB per megabyte, but operating systems recognize 1024kB as a megabyte, so a 1TB drive only gives you about 911GB of space for storing content. It’s been like that forever. It’s not a Sony thing. It’s the exact same on Xbox and PC.

    • A standard 500GB HDD has only about 450GB of usable space. The PS4’s OS then takes up/reserves about 40GB of that, leaving only about 409GB for you to use. I think he’s referring to the 40GB I just mentioned.

So I only have 2 suggestions: either delete the games you know you aren’t going to be playing anytime soon (unlike Vita, your saves don’t go anywhere) or buy a new drive, plus an external one to use as a backup.

    • @AizawaYuuichi please stop assuming before attacking. Sony is reserving 10% of the OS. It is documented. I know there are less useable space than what is announced but Sony is also serving additional storage for additional updates. This is true even for computers also but you can delete it. I can’t with the PS3. Please do some research. A few moments ago, Microsoft removed the reserve space.

@Tjoeb123 please google PS3 OS reserved and read up on it before replying. That delete option works well now but it will not work when Sony discontinue the PSN on PS3. I will not be able to download them again. And your second option will not work. PS3 backup is an all or nothing not an individual backup. Moreover, the PS3 does not support plug and play from external HDD.

Guys, please do research before replying to my post. Thanks.

    • I share your concerns and I totally agree with you. Don’t listen to these idiots. They don’t know what they are talking about.

    • Huh, so I just looked into it, and you are indeed correct. I’m sorry for assuming you didn’t know what you were talking about.
I guess I never paid attention to the available space on my PS3’s HDD before downloading things, once I got larger drives. The initial 120GB it came with, the reserved space seemed normal for OS downloads and updates, etc. I didn’t realize they reserved a percentage rather than a fixed amount.
I wonder if the various sizes of hard drive they sell the PS3 with would allow them to update the system software to reserve a fixed amount, say 2-3GB or something, rather than 10%. That would fix the creeping space issue while still allowing room to update the OS over time.
Again, sorry for assuming. But honestly, you’re the only person, and I mean ONLY person, that I have ever seen bring this up. It was easier to assume you were misguided than that no one else cared or noticed. My bad.

    • Thank you for your apologize, @AizawaYuuichi. I accept it. Given that Sony have a 12GB PS3 that reserve 5GB, I concluded that 5GB is all that they need. I am asking Sony to removed the 10% OS reserve and instead have a fix 5GB reserve especially given how late we are in the console cycle. Again, thank you. Have a great holiday weekend and gaming sales!

  • Hey Sony where is the Flash Deals on the last week

  • A portable version of Dynasty Warriors Empires here in North America!? About time!

  • hey I would like to see ape escape 2 and 3,dark cloud 2 and 3,need for speed hot pursuit(ps2 version),tony hawk pro skater 3 and 4 both ps2 version, and tony hawk underground 1 and 2 and all the crash bandicoot and spyro games that came out during the ps2 generation be playable on ps3 and ps4 in the future.

  • requesting disc emulation for the ps4 because i already have some games on my library from that era that i would like to replay from time to time.

i dont want to rebuy my stuff again. even though i double dipped on disgaea 2 and jeanne D’ arc.the other company is allowing their customers to enjoy disc based emulation of their previous gen already at the price of $ 0

  • Looking forward to getting one last look at R6 before deciding whether or not I want to buy it. It’s a light week for me personally, which is good because I’m still buried in Fallout.

  • Is the Brunswick Pro Bowling using the move controller? I still like playing move games.

    • I hope it does, but I don’t think we’re gonna see much PS Move support until Sony’s VR system releases.
Maybe Brunswick Pro Bowling will have Morpheus support. :D

  • In for Eiyuu Senki, and waiting on Yakuza 5.

Congrats on the new party member, Ryan!

  • I hope you guys have some killer sales this week. Not many AAA exclusives for PS4 this Christmas (I know that many got pushed back until next year), but 2016 will be the year of AAA Sony games. But you guys need to remind people why PS4 is better than the other console. A great sale might do the trick.

    • Or you could go into a game store and ask how long the wait is to buy a PS4, and find out that Sony has no need to do anything at this point to keep selling their new console. Was just in a store today and heard an employee telling some disappointed parents that the store couldn’t keep PS4s in stock, they keep selling out as soon as they get a shipment in.
People getting a PS4 for Christmas have 2 years worth of games to go back and catch up on. Those who already have a PS4 are probably knee deep in games like MGS5, Fallout 4, Mad Max and soon, Just Cause 3. They don’t need a reminder.

  • I hope Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires on PS Vita is a good port. Seen the trailers and it doesn’t do the game justice. So hopefully seeing the game in action when its released is better.

    • I played the original DW8 on Vita (ie Xtreme Legends Complete Edition) and it was….less than stellar, to say the least. DW NEXT ran much better.

  • Bloodborne Complete digital only? Shucks. I was about to make the jump if it was retail. Another time. I need to focus on one game at a time.

  • Hope this week’s sale doesn’t look like that list that is going around. Last year’s Black Friday sale was awful and that circulating list seems reminiscent of it. Please bring us an awesome Black Friday sale that makes me want to spend money here instead of in the box stores.

    • Im praying this weeks sale is good. Your right that list being rumored is awful!!!!!! Has sony taken a good look at xbox sale? They should be able to at least match it? The sale should be identical no? if mg solid is on sale for xbox why can’t the ps4 version be also?

  • blood… BORNE!!!

  • Hi! Any word on when the next episode of Kingdom Quest is coming out? It’s been a little over two months since the first one came out!

  • I’d love to get Beyond: Two Souls, but I want to replay Heavy Rain first, and I’d prefer them on disc. So I’ll be waiting until that happens next Spring, hopefully.
Also, too busy with Fallout 4. Trying to get as far through it as I can before Just Cause 3 releases next week. I’m so stupidly excited for JC3, it’s not even funny. Took a week off work just to play it. Even FO4 didn’t get that.

  • Cool to see the Bloodborne Complete Edition. I’ve recently taken an interest in that game since the price is in a comfortable spot for me (on Amazon), but didn’t want to buy it and have to spend $20 on an expansion. I hope this edition makes it to retail, eventually.

Also really cool to see a bowling game. I hope it makes use of motion controls and does it well. I absolutely loved High Velocity Bowling on PS3, but I actually thought using the six-axis for it felt way more natural and intuitive than using the Move controller, since the positioning is far closer to the way you’d hold a real bowling ball.
Another good Drop, this week. :)

  • Brunswick Pro Bowling! I am a sucker for bowling games. Really.

  • Are you guys seriously going to announce at PSX that you won’t allow disc based PS2 emulation, but you are going to try to sell those games again?

I hope you guys do the right thing and offer actual BC, but I think you are going to just offer it off PSN. In other words… if you own it on disc and you love Playstation and have supported them for decades it sucks to be you.

Please do the right thing. When Microsoft is making you look anti-consumer you are in a bad state.

  • I’m really interested in Eiyuu Senki — The World Conquest, probably pick it up in December or a few months after.

  • Yay! Just got my platinum in Bloodborne this weekend. Perfect timing for the Old Hunters!

  • Can we get the time splitters series and prince of Persia series? That’s really all I need!

  • Beyond two souls? Interesting will pick it up (once it goes on sale) unless its reasonably price but probably not (god of war 3 remastered is an example). I am excited for black friday hopefully psn has a good sale!!!

  • Any idea when (or if) Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Racer Revenge, and Jedi Starfighter will be available to those of us who did NOT get the Darth Vader PS4?

  • Where. The. Hell. Is. Yakuza 5?
You guys really forgot about us, huh? First it was 5 November, than mid-november… Now we’re on late november and you guys don’t even keep us updated. We’re small, all right. But we DO exist and we deserve at least some news… You make me sad.

    • After poking around for a few minutes on Google, all I can find is a “Q4 2015” release window, so hopefully it’ll be out by the end of December? Other than that, I’d say go poke Sega on twitter, maybe? They’re probably more likely to have info than the PS.Blog.

    • Especially considering a lot of us already paid in full for the game I don’t feel it’s too much to ask for updates on when we will be receiving what we bought.

  • How about allowing users to sell back their license to games essentially for a discount, reduce global waste and digital space.

  • My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can’t believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do… wallstreet34.com

  • I was really hoping to see Yakzua 5 release this week, considering this is the last Tuesday in “Late November”. Can we at least have an update? I really want to get back to Kamurocho! :)

  • HOLY S#$T THE OLD HUNTERS IS TODAY!?

  • Ummm…. Just Cause 3 anybody?
