Infamous Second Son at ~$10 is a STEAL! I found the game to be very enjoyable and is certainly a deal at the asking price!

Persona 4: Golden for 9 bucks? NOT TOO SHABBY!
Another title that I’ve been looking for a long time is Child of Light… But I will hold on that because usually I buy these games on sales and two months later they show up on Plus.

Anyone with a PS Vita should pick up Danganronpa 1&2 at that price. Great games. A ton of reading though since they are VN’s with mini games thrown in.
+ MakaiOokami on January 13th, 2016 at 11:46 am said:
For the lay person, VN means Visual Novel.
I haven’t played it personally (waiting for the price to get about this low) but think Ace Attourney, or a TellTale game. It’s an experience.

Great sale but my only hesitation being I hate to spend money for some of the PS3 content without being able to play them on my PS4 so I have to think about this before purchasing anything.
+ Marine-Sgt_Blake on January 12th, 2016 at 3:39 pm said:
Do you not have a PS3 or something? Don’t see any other reason why you’d hate to spend money on a PS3 video game to play it on a PS3. That’d be like me buying a PS2 video game then getting upset that it doesn’t work on my PS3.
+ gameman15 on January 12th, 2016 at 4:54 pm said:
@ phade2blaq you are aware that compatibility with PS3 games on the PS4 cannot be possible due to the PS3 having a processor that is too powerful to be properly emulated. Compatibility with PS1 games (original discs and digital versions) and PS2 games (original discs and digital versions) however, can be easily emulated on the PS4.
+ varmintx on January 13th, 2016 at 7:17 am said:
I assume phade2blaq meant classic titles not carrying over, like Twisted Metal: Black. Owning the digital copy for PS3 doesn’t give you access to the PS4 version.
+ MakaiOokami on January 13th, 2016 at 11:52 am said:
Those games had to get an emulation package, get upscaled and cleaned up, play tested to make sure they work properly and support all PS4 features, they had to go in and code the game so that trophies can trigger when conditions are met, they gotta make back the money they invested into getting this whole set up working, and give a financial incentive for other companies to participate, etc…

Good sale but Rayman Origins is always on sale, never Rayman Legends.
+ Bluesummers8 on January 13th, 2016 at 10:00 am said:
That’s true. I believe Legends has only been on sale once on ps vita (last month I recall) and a couple times on ps4.
+ MakaiOokami on January 13th, 2016 at 11:57 am said:
Legends was 16 for PS Plus around Black Friday, 16 in September, 16 in July, 20 in June, 10 in Feb, and 20 for plus a year ago. Sure it’s not the 5-10 that origins goes down to, but still. There’s a PS prices website thingy that tracks the prices over time. I use it to see if there’s patterns for a game I’m ready to pull the trigger on and to tell a friend I think a game is gonna drop in price.

Both Danganronpas for me since I think I might like visual novels as a break from all the hacking and slashing. I looked them up and they both have platinums.
Some of these movies have great prices, too, much lower than on the “i” store.
Happy New Year, Chieh-chan! I name my characters “Chie”, after Ms. Satonaka, the best character in P4G.

I always appreciate seeing ps1 games on sale, but hoping to see some different stuff soon. How about Grandia, arc the lad, alundra, vanguard bandits, and theme hospital. Lots of good psp titles too like Dragoneers aria, wild arms xf, gran turismo, unchained blades, puzzle quest, the sims, ncaa football 10, mana khemia, armored core (psp titles).

DriveClub shows up twice for me in the store. One says “NOT AVAILABLE” and the other says “EXCLUSIVE” and costs only $14.99.
Is the $14.99 DC the same as the one being shown here for $19.99? I want to make sure I am buying the complete version with all of the cars and tracks included with the retail disc version.
Hopefully someone can reply since I’d like to get it asap.
+ FeistFan on January 13th, 2016 at 11:04 am said:
That means you own the “free” Plus version already, so you can’t buy the full version individually. You can pay the $15 (every day price, not a sale price) to upgrade to the full version, or you can pay $20 total (not a sale price) to upgrade to the full version and get the Season Pass thrown in.
That still doesn’t get you everything – the Bikes addon is still another $15 purchase and isn’t on sale, and it looks like some of the content came out after the season pass and isn’t included.
This isn’t official from Sony – this is my analysis of what I see in the store (I’m in the same boat as you) and what I’ve found reading online.
+ SpooNManX on January 13th, 2016 at 12:23 pm said:
Thanks for the reply.
Looking at the description again I see that it says :
“• Access to all 13 tracks in India, one of six locations in DRIVECLUB™.
• 15 cars for your garage.”
I am a bit hesitant to buy this knowing that it might be exactly the same India tracks and 15 cars which I already have unlocked with the free Plus version. I wanted to use my 20% off PSN Store code which I received when buying my PS4 system towards this, but I don’t think that’s possible when clicking on the unlock while in-game.
I would assume they wouldn’t allow you to actually pay for exactly what you already just received free/with Plus, but who knows?
+ FeistFan on January 13th, 2016 at 1:53 pm said:
I’m about 90% sure that the $15 game you’re looking at just has an incorrect description. You already have India, right? So this would unlock everything in the base game BESIDES the tracks in India and the cars you already have from the “free” Plus version.
If it takes the URL at the end, look there – this ought to be the same game PLUS the Season Pass, and its description is more like what I think the $15 one really is. If the link doesn’t work, search in the store for Driveclub and find the one with an “exclusive” picture that’s $20, and read its description. That’s the same game, plus the Season Pass (normally $20 by itself). I think if you don’t have the Plus version of Driveclub, you can’t get this.
https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/addons/driveclub-full-game-season-pass-bundle/cid=UP9000-CUSA00093_00-PSPLUSSEASONPASS
And note that the Season Pass had a deadline – content released after it expired is not included.
+ FeistFan on January 14th, 2016 at 9:41 am said:
My last reply is waiting moderation, which will probably never come, because I included a URL (to a listing in the Playstation Store, which you think they’d allow automatically, but I guess not). So here’s the version without the URL.
Search in the store for Driveclub. Find the one with the “Exclusive” banner in the pic, that’s “DRIVECLUB Full Game & Season Pass Bundle” for $20. This very clearly states that it’s the upgrade for the free plus version that adds all the tracks *AND* adds the Season Pass (normally $13) content. I’m 90% sure the $15 version with the Exclusive banner has a bad description, and it is really this same version without the Season Pass – that is, all the tracks that are in the full game that you don’t get with the free Plus version, but without the Season Pass (which at $5 extra, might not be a bad deal).
Note that I’m 99% sure that $15 and $20 for these have been the same price since black Friday – these aren’t really sale prices for us, but they’re permanent discounts for owners of the free Plus version.
Note also that the Season Pass doesn’t include everything – things that came out more than a year after the game, including the Bikes addon, are not part of the Season Pass.

but this sale really DOES have a lot of must-haves… P4G, numerous PSOne Classic JRPGs, Mass Effect Trilogy, Child of Light, Rayman Origins, Symphony of the Night.
Good sale Sony.

Great sale! I regretted not getting Project CARS when it was $25 a few weeks ago, now I get it for $15?!?!? Fantastic! I own most of the other games already but I have to say I’m impressed. Only thing that bugs me is that Dragon Age Inquisition has been put on sale once again but the expansions still haven’t been discounted separately. I already own the base game and don’t see the sense in rebuying the game again (GOTY version, which ironically is not on sale this time) in order to save. Massive DLC/add-on sale soon, PLEASE.

Can someone please clear this up for me…
I originally downloaded the PSN Plus version of DriveClub when it was first available.
Then just tonight, I purchased the “Full game + Season Pass Bundle” 15.7GB for $19.99.
Now when I go to DriveClub in my Library it shows “DRIVECLUB 74 Add-ons”. Then my options are “Start” and “Buy +$14.99”.
What exactly would I be buying for $14.99?!
This whole thing is very confusing. I feel like I am not getting all of the content which I should be getting after purchasing this $20 package. There are also many cars which still show up to be purchased. Aren’t these supposed to be included with the Season Pass?
+ FeistFan on January 14th, 2016 at 9:51 am said:
If you start, do you have access to more locations than just India? Then you’ve got the full version.
I’ve seen the “Buy +$xx.xx” option before on games where I own the disk version and the disk isn’t in, and I’ve seen it on games where there are addon components that I own. I ignore it and just start the game, and it figures it all out there. I think the OS layer isn’t smart enough to detect what you own with 100% reliability and offers you options to buy that the Store would not (or at least SHOULD not) let you actually use, since you own it already.
I think it’s an annoying “feature,” especially for disk-based games. I own the thing already, tell me I need to put in the disk, not that I need to send you money.
+ SpooNManX on January 14th, 2016 at 3:42 pm said:
@+ FeistFan Thanks, you were right.
It appears to be all there. The other thing that confused me is that after purchasing the Season Pass I was seeing more options to buy cars I didn’t own. That seemed strange until I realized they were just shortcuts to buy the cars without “earning” them in the game. Not something I would ever consider paying for!
I really think Sony needs to make some improvements to the frontend. There is little reason they can’t change the “Buy for $14.99” after we have already bought the entire package + season pass. I am almost tempted to click it and then ask for a refund just to show that it’s nonsense, but if they didn’t refund me I’d just get angrier.
I love the PS4. It has some amazing improvements, but at the same time takes a few steps back. I find myself missing some of what I came to like on the PS3. Folders for instance. Soon many of us may have hundreds of games. The tile display just isn’t up to that task and the “PS4 Library” shows everything regardless if you have it downloaded or a demo, or even something you never wanted such as Destiny Beta and others. It’s essentially replacing the PS3’s Download List, which is definitely an improvement on that.
