The Drop: New PlayStation Games for 2/2/2016
The Drop

Gravity, ghosts, and gunplay! It’s a huge week in the world of PlayStation with more than 10 new games launching this Tuesday. Leading the pack is a familiar (and still exhilarating) adventure: Gravity Rush Remastered on PS4.

Gravity Rush Remastered follows the mysterious young hero Kat and her incredible, gravity-defying powers. Traverse a beautiful city in all directions with full 1080p HD visuals, performance improvements, and — of course — DualShock 4 support. As a bonus, all the original DLC packs from the PS Vita version come packed in the Remastered edition.

And that’s only the start! Also out this week is the foot-tapping, sword-swinging dungeon crawler Crypt of the NecroDancer. Explore fiendish labyrinths and time your journey to the beat of the music! Or if you want something a wee bit edgier, look no further than Not A Hero — a gritty shooter from the team behind OlliOlli.

For the full list of new games coming to PlayStation, read on. And enjoy the Drop!

  • Hello~

I was wondering if Digimon will be added to PlayStation store tomorrow (2/1/2016). I would like to pre-order it and get the pro-order bonus (Im sure it is also for the digital version) but the game comes out on the the 2nd. Please tell me, if not I will pre-order the phisical version because I wan the pre-order bonus.

    Thank you.

  • Also wondering if Mega Dimension Neptunia will have a season pass because past games never did & NIS always has alot of dlc. So much that they have a dlc schedule and last i knew Disgaea 5 was the only game they have with a season pass. Hopefully there’s not lvl cap dlc or some other kinda pointless content like Fairy Fencer F with small additional maps/quest.

    • NISA has long stopped being the publisher of the Neptunia series. Idea Factory opened their own international branch and are handling everything themselves.

Taking Omega Quintet as reference, I heard that the NA version had the same amount of DLC as the japanese version, but the prices of the NA version were far cheaper than those on the japanese PSN store.

  • Cannot wait for my LE of MegaNep VII to arrive, as well as Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. I’m also picking up Gravity Rush Remastered, since I never got around to purchasing the Vita version of it. The next few weeks are going to be pretty great! If only IFI would send out their LEs so they’d arrive on release day, instead of 2-3 days after.

  • How about you “drop” Vita update 3.58 that fixes all of the damn problems you created with update 3.57? Or at the very least, let Vita owners know how long they have to deal with the crappy battery life you have plagued them with. Own you damn mistakes Sony. Seriously. Grow the hell up.

  • Already pre-ordered Digimon and Gravity Rush, so I have some good gaming to look forward too! Crypt of the NecroDancer came out of nowhere! Was the date announced? Anyways, I hope I can make time for it!

  • Have had Gravity Rush pre-ordered since the physical version was announced! CANNOT WAIT! Played the demo at a Best Buy and very nearly bought a Vita for it (of course, I’m glad I didn’t tho!). And Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth marks the return of not just Digimon, but Media Vision to consoles (in the West; at least Japan got their Shining Resonance last year), so I’m pumped for that… though I’ll pick it up a few months from now. Sorry Bamco, but my backlog – particularly RPGs – is too large. I already have to get around to playing Tales of Zesteria, and finish up Toukiden Kiwami and… way too many more, tbh. So Digimon will have to be put off. But man am I glad to see it!

Super pumped that Gravity Rush is finally on consoles! GR2 is my most-looked forward to title of the year (if it comes out in 2016), and getting the chance to play the first game on my TV is going to kick so much butt! Now I just hope Sony will get Bluepoint to Remaster Freedom Wars next :D That’s the only other game I almost picked up a PS Vita for… or rather, a PSTV in that case. Just can’t justify the purchase, unfortunately – I have enough Playstations as is!

  • Is that a demo being released for Lego Avengers or Lego Superheroes? The name says avengers but the characters and level are from Lego Superheroes.

  • I got my Gravity Rush Collector’s Edition last January.Region ALL. WTH?

  • So there is no Digital Pre-Order for Digimon right?

  • I pre-ordered the LE of Megadimension Neptunia VII for PS4 and I’m getting Digimon for PS Vita. I’ll also check the indies to see if I pick one.

  • *Yawn* Crap. Lousy Drop. Is this what gaming is really coming too? Indie games developed and slashed cut budgets to maximize profits? Well, of course, that’s business 101. They’re not quality games, they’re quantity being used to fill time for AAA games now few and far between. This is what Microsoft did with Xbox Live Arcade. This is not the Sony way done on the PS3. It’s like we’ve gone back to the Atari that had so much Shovel ware that it over saturated the gaming market and it crashed! And then came Nintendo, then Sega, then Sony and now everyone and it’s repeating itself! I don’t want filler. I want Detroit, Uncharted 4, Horizon, Syphon Filter: Logan Returns, and ya know what, Shenmue III and Sunset Overdrive. Not this! Come on Sony! I didn’t buy a PS4 to play an Atari. I got one to play Sony Calibur games from studios that pulled the PS3 from the depths and had shown gamers why the PS3 dominated the Xbox 360. Not to become it!

  • It’s most likey Lego Marvel’s Avengers, i’ve been playing it and some of the free roam areas are the same like Manhattan as well as the characters but there are new locations as well as characters and improvements. Alot of the mini puzzles in the free roam outside of the story are new as well as new vehicles.

  • I find it a little insulting that nothings been said about the broken PSvita update that is bricking consoles.

  • Megadimension Neptunia VII for me

  • And for those of you who are looking for some reviews about Gravity Rush Remastered, here’s mine :) https://youtu.be/XzJzeFVozz8

  • This isn’t a comment on the games released this week…

Sony needs to implement a quality control program for the games being released on their platform. A set of minimum basic standards would go a long way towards safeguarding their customers and protecting their brand. We don’t want to see the PS Store becomes so diluted with subpar games that it becomes as bad as the App store on iOS.

  • PS plus used to add good games before they made us pay just to play online!
I ain’t going back to PlayStation after I build my pc next month.

  • I only have enough money to buy Cyber Sleuth this week, didn’t like gravity rush game play wise, just visually. Crypt of the necrodancer is on my list.

  • so is digimon cyber gonna be on the playstation store right at midnight today?

  • eastern time?

  • Gang Beasts?!???!?

  • Looking at the launch count down for Gravity Rush and also waiting for Nep to show up in the store, this monday better end fast!

  • Can’t wait for Digimon! Been years since I got a chance to play a new digimon RPG. Also the picture you used for the game is utterly adorable with Agumon sitting on that woman’s head.

  • I’d be nice if i could go onto the PSN store on my Vita to buy Digimon tomorrow……..guess that won’t be happening

  • Already pre-orded Megadimension Neptunia Victory 2 :) Should be here tomorrow afternoon X3 Also looking forward to picking up Gravity Rush Remastered since I adored the original Vita Version and also interested to try Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel mainly because Super Sonico is in it XD

  • When is Vue going to release across more markets?

  • I find ironic that for what is considered a “dead” system by most game critics, the Vita still gets a lot of games as cross buy with the PS4 versions. Wouldn’t making them cross buy with the PS3 instead be more advantageous?

  • Gonna be broke this month. So many great games. Gravity Rush Remastered and Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel this week. Naruto Shippuuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 next week and Street Fighter V the following week.

  • I hey i want to know for sure is digimon is coming out for download on ps4

  • Nep-Nep or Digimon…. it’s too HARD too choose

  • Does anyone know what is the exact size of Digimon Story on the Vita?

  • Oh my dear Kat, how I longed for you to grace my PS4…

  • Gonna get Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth for my PS Vita

  • On Nitroplus Blasterz…am I trippin or thats Sonico right there?
Anyway Not a Hero is a perfect example of how you ditch your own game…if it was available on either Vita or PS3 thay had a confirmed buy from me but on PS4 only…JUST NO!!!.

Also sad to see that Gravity Rush recycled saw the light of day.

  • So where is Digimon CS? I’ve been refreshing the browser for almost 7 hours now.

  • Everyone, I implore you, do NOT look past Crypt of the Necrodancer. I have spent possibly more time with this game on PC than any other in recent history. Give this one a look!

  • When is the friggin vita gonna get fixed?its goin on two weeks now and no announcement or anything?I know its that update that frigged everything up.can we PLEASE get an eta on the new update.every game I have is downloaded and I can’t play ANYTHING

  • Where is Darkest Dungeon?? Binding of Isaac Afterbirth? We were told they’d be released already and there hasn’t been any word on the matter!! STOP MAKING PROMISES YOU CAN’t KEEP!!!

  • NO MORE PS2 TITLES FOR PS4? WHATS GOING ON HERE!?
FIRST YOU ASK US OUR OPINIONS FOR WHAT WE WANT TO PLAY PS2 CLASSICS THEN YOU JUST THROW WHATEVER YOU LIKE! REALLY WTF! But admitting only I liked dark cloud and the mark of kri so far. I’m not happy Sony resolve now!
