The Drop

Spectacular visuals. Fast-paced battles. And a staggering roster. The passionate Naruto fans at CyberConnect2 have crafted their most ambitious chapter in the Storm series yet. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is out this week on PS4. Believe it!

Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 features the largest roster in the series’ history, featuring heroes and villains from throughout the Naruto universe. As CEO Matsuyama-san has written to us before: “If you have a favorite Naruto character, chances are he or she will be playable!”

Also new to the series is the dynamic leader system, which empowers players to switch between three characters mid-combat to vary strategy and combat techniques. Couple that with the sprawling list of combos, hidden moves, transformations… players will have plenty of gaming ahead of them.

Also out this week is the gorgeous, story-driven Firewatch and the adorable adventure of Unravel on PS4. For the full list of new games coming to PlayStation this week, read on. And enjoy the Drop!

Firewatch is the one to watch, Campo Santo has a potential hit. Like a mix between TWD, The Great Outdoors, and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.

Where is Ark survival Evolved Early acess Sony ?????????????????????????????????????????

    + veryhoudini11 on February 7th, 2016 at 10:58 am said:

Yeah Sony need to create an early access program for games. Alot of indie developers would benefit greatly if they had one like steam and xbox.

+ turniplord on February 7th, 2016 at 11:08 am said:

It doesn’t need early access. Early access is a platform where devs can abuse it and release crap that never gets finished. If it really wanted to, they can still release as ‘early access’ like how dungeon defenders is. But I’m sure the game will need to meet certain checks before Sony will allow it

    + veryhoudini11 on February 7th, 2016 at 8:48 pm said:

@turniplord it looks fine for the other platforms its on early access already.the devs asked players to tell sony they want it so we dont know what the reason is but assumptions dont help. Either way we still benefit from it being early access on other platforms because of the feedback they are getting. Saying early access incites unfinished games is rediculous. Many games coming to the ps consoles could only get the funding to do so thanks to sales from their early access on steam. An early access program doesnt mean any company can release games that way it just means sony would be more proactive in letting certain games do it. instead of their being few exceptions to the no early access on ps4 state we are in. Games are going to get cancelled or go unfinished no matter what but you cant prove it will happen more often with a e.a. program.

    + iamtylerdurden1 on February 7th, 2016 at 10:36 pm said:

    Turniplord

Many PS4 games have early access like Dungeon Defenders II, Drawn 2 Death, Killstrain, World of Tanks ect.

+ blakseed on February 7th, 2016 at 11:13 pm said:

What a random question. The PS4 doesn’t even have an early access program. Paying for betas and alphas of games sounds like a GREAT thing to have.

Have been incredibly interested in Firewatch the last year, but after finding out it only has 5 trophies and the game lasts 3+ hours, no way in hell will I be paying $20. I’ll have to wait for a sale when the price comes down to about $5. Very disappointed.

    + Thundercleese_83 on February 7th, 2016 at 11:09 am said:

The developer said that is was more like a trilogy of movies, 5-6 hours. It’s a very story driven game and the gameplay is just a way to experience the story. In that regard, I think that a longer game would juste overstayed it’s welcome and hurt the story and the game itself. There will also have a small 10% off for PS+ members on the first week, so 18$ for a “trilogy of movies” is a very reasonable price.

    + loge018 on February 7th, 2016 at 1:00 pm said:

I want to say that the 5 trophies and no platinum has decreased my interest in this title as well. It made the game an “eventually I play it” title instead of a Day 1 experience. We are a minority, but there are lots of gamers who value the trophies and they influence our purchase decisions. Wanted that voice to be heard!

    + Aero_Guardian17 on February 7th, 2016 at 1:46 pm said:

Just another slow week on PS4, nothing good as usual. Maybe if they ever release an actual Yu-Gi-Oh game & not some PSN knockoff with overpriced dlc with the same cards in every pack i’d consider purchasing it. Another failed attempt at Ps store update, last week was the 1st good update in awhile with Mega Dimension Neptunia V2 & Digimon (Both worth it imo) i’d settle for just ep 5 of Minecraft story mode as it’s been far beyond 2/3 weeks since ep 4. Typical of TellTALE after Tales from the Borderlands took an eternity. Guess Mega Dimension will be another Idea Factory release with no season pass & tons of dlc, just can’t wait for pointless lvl cap dlc.

Indie-station 4 / has place holders for pre-ordering digital for games as far as 12/31/16 tells me no official release date has been confirmed as of yet. But for some magical reason Sony can’t add anything other then ports indies and remasters or the random pick of the week like Prototype or Dark Siders.

Guess this is another failed attempt at an update, maybe next week i’ll have better luck.

    wow… you’re so bitter… about video games?

Enjoy the games you have, and if you’re done them… try something that looks different from what you might normally play… you might find something fun and new.

Realistically though, not every week can be good, and it takes a lot of both time and money to create games nowadays… so we can’t really expect blockbusters every week. There will be big games, there will be small games… but just enjoy them.

There’s not really any point in being bitter or upset about it.

Bitter about games lol i hardly have time to be bitter considering im’a trophy hunter who can hardly keep up. Furthermore i perfer games with offline aspects only, so finishing games before i get bitter is lol if i see a game i don’t think Sony needs on PSN like pc ports i’ll voice my opinions despite it being the popular one or not. If i was bitter i wouldn’t expect a PlayStation made by gamers for gamers, half the ps store is advertisement for movies. Finish games well i wait is lol #backlong trophy hunter. I expect games focused more on story then graphics anyhow or just the offline aspects period. So no offence but sorry if my input Isn’t the popular one.

It has nothing to do with popularity, and everything to do with phrasing. Your initial post gives me the impression of that bitter old man sitting on his porch yelling ‘GET OFF MY LAWN’ at kids passing by.

Take some time and get the anger and bitterness out of your posts, and post in a positive way(note: posting in a positive way does NOT mean posting positive feedback, you can post negative feedback in a positive way)… and your feedback will probably go a lot further.

Also good to bear in mind is that if the gaming industry ONLY catered to one person’s tastes, there would be no gaming industry. So games that don’t appeal to you are important too. I hate sports games, but they make a lot of money that companies like EA and ACtivision use to make other games too.

I don’t know how you managed to interpret what I said as ‘don’t post an opinion that differs from mine’… I really don’t.

Campo Santo has put on a masters’ clinic in marketing.

Allowing streamers and gaming sites to show the first chapter (technically called “day one”) was brilliant. Now a game that was a bit “under the radar”, is releasing to lots of excitement about the mystery of Firewatch.

I had heard the name before but knew nothing about Firewatch, and probably would have let it pass without a second glance. Instead, ive watched the first half hour or so of the game, 3 different times. Each one making me more curious and interested in the game. Not to mention, highlighting the exceptional characters and writing.

As a first time developer, its an impressive display of acumen.

I cant wait to see how the mystery unfolds in Firewatch.

Campo Santo seems to be on the track to becoming a developer with a very bright future.
