Posted by Hey, PlayStation Nation! We’ve been working on a special retail edition of our new MOBA, Paragon — called the Paragon Essentials Edition. The Essentials Edition includes everything you need to start killing me on the battlefields of Agora, including a launch-exclusive Wasteland Twinblast skin.
We put together the Essentials Edition so that even if you’ve already bought a Founder’s Pack, you’ll still find the Essentials Edition an awesome deal when it hits stores on June 7.
The Paragon Essentials Edition includes:
- 6,000 Paragon Coins (worth $60).
- In-game currency to spend on additional Master Challenges, skins, boosts, and other items that I’ll see as you stand over my corpse.
- Five Hero Master Challenges.
- Each Master Challenge immediately grants a Challenger skin and permanent XP boost, plus unlocks unique rewards as you play, including a taunt (that you’ll use on me) and the Master skin.
- Includes Master Challenges for Twinblast, Sevarog, Iggy & Scorch, and two soon-to-be-announced Heroes.
- Five Skins, including the launch-exclusive Wasteland Twinblast skin.
- For now, you can only get the Wasteland Twinblast skin in the Essentials Edition.
- Five Rep Boosts (each lasts for three wins).
- Rep boosts speed up how quickly you earn Rep, which you can spend on card packs, Master Challenges, and more.
If you play a lot of Paragon, the 6,000 Paragon Coins is worth it by itself. The whole Essentials Edition is more than $160 in value (based on in-game currency) for only $59.99 ($79.99 Canadian).
For those of you who pre-order the Essentials Edition, you’ll get an extra 1,000 Paragon Coins upon pickup, which you can use to buy more Master Challenges, skins, and boosts.
You can pre-order the Essentials Edition at GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, Target, and Walmart (and EB Games in Canada) right now.

This is a great point ExMimic — All though I’ll likely get this version, to supplement the founders pack. Just wish I can get a digital version, as I don’t want to continue messing with discs.

I agree, with so many versions, boosters and currencies floating around, it’s getting confusing. People get hesitant buying new experiences when it’s not clear which is the ‘fullest’ or best option. I have enjoyed my time with the Founder’s pack (which also cost $60), so I’m unlikely to pay more for what seems like not a lot. Also, with this pack, it includes 5 skins I’ve already paid for.

@ Rangore When the game comes out it will be FTP. By purchasing any of the founders packs you are given early access to the game, which I thought was worth $19.99. Upon release, people will be able to download the game and play for free. Most of us just do not like micro-transactions. I think EPIC makes great games and $19.99 to support the game is the least I could do to thank them for the amount of time I have gotten out of it.

Well I like to say this is hell of a game I’m very pleased with it. I was more than happy to help you guys out buying the $100 Founder’s Pack because I believe in the game. but I even feel this essential addition is a better deal than $100 was paid for the founders. The coins are given in this essential pack nothing like it was offered to the founders the Skins are more like color schemes nothing aesthetic changes about the heroes compared to other mobas, basically you’re changing blue to black white to grey red to blue. In the comment I read up on top anybody who has doubts which to refer, I must say the $60 is a better offer the hundred-dollar Founders Park.

P.S. jist started getting into MOBAS aa of late & really enjoying the experience so far, and no SMITE for me, plus as long as this game do not have some sort of pay to win, I’m 100% commit to it., thanks.

I see the option in the web store, but there is no way to purchase it, I can only add it to my wishlist. From my PS4, I don’t even see the options in the PSN store.

Those of us that took part in being a Founder should not be pushed to the side with deals that are better and cheaper than what we invested. This is a big turn off and I am not likely to spend anymore on this game if that’s their strategy.
