This is awesome, thanks for putting together such a comprehensive list into what will be there Day 1 as well into the future. One game I think might be missing is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR. Wasn’t sure if that launches with Infinite Warfare or not though.

Mando44646 said:

October 5th, 9:56 am

I’ll wait for a steep sale, and more in-depth software, before considering an investment. Costing more than the console itself really is not an attractive price point to me, and most of the games seem to be one-off short gimmicks so far

    iamtylerdurden1 said:

    October 5th, 3:02 pm

It’s a very attractive price point $399. It’s the same price as the PS4 at launch and hundreds less than the competition.

October 5th, 10:03 am

Amazing list, and so glad Super Stardust Ultra VR was confirmed for the US! I’m planning on getting 13 games (including free games) at launch, 7 of which I’ve already pre-ordered. This is easily going to be the most launch titles I’ve ever bought for a single platform at launch.

Seraphim1277 said:

October 5th, 10:08 am

im in manhattan. what store location can i go and try the VR experience?. i want to see for myself if its worth the 400 or 500. if its worth it, i will definitely buy along with some games. i will be in the poor house for awhile but it will be worth it., i hope.

Kid_Loser said:

October 5th, 10:16 am

Really hoping a lot of these have a demo. I know the launch pack comes with 18 or so. It’s just I don’t want to buy a game that really is just a demo for VR. I hear Batman VR is only an hour long, and it’s 20 bucks!

    NIGHTRAVEN3 said:

    October 5th, 10:32 am

I highly doubt all the demo disc games are going to be the only demos you can download. They probably ran out of space on the disc.

    iamtylerdurden1 said:

    October 5th, 3:09 pm

Arkham VR is an hour and a half for the base playthrough, but there is easily twice the amount of content if you do everything. Batman is probably the shortest VR experience, but it’s made by Rocksteady and it’s quality all the way. I don’t have time for every game to be Fallout, i relish short and sweet.

On the other hand, games like Rigs, Driveclub VR, and Battlezone are nearly infinite. They are all PSVR exclusives with hefty sp campaigns, co op, and mp. You could put 100’s of hours into each.

    Kid_Loser said:

    October 5th, 4:54 pm

    @iamtylerdurden1
That’s true and all.. but that extra stuff usually is just getting 100% if you really want it to. And it’s $20. You’re talking at most 4 1/2 hours and that’s not if you’re bored to death by then.
I am happy about Rigs and Battlezone myself. Those like you said are infinite. I am just concerned about many other games that may be like Batman when we don’t know yet. Its a very difficult decision what to pick out when you don’t want to waste money but want the best launch day/week experience.

Wow, you guys are not playing! There are so much more stuff on day 1 I can get, than I ever thought would be available at launch! Oh, also, is there going to me mid night launches at gamestops?

    iamtylerdurden1 said:

    October 5th, 3:11 pm

Yes, but it depends on the Gamestop. My Gamestop is having a midnight launch.

Ace Combat 7 is coming to PSVR in 2017, but it’s not a launch window game.

Launch window and rest of year has a lot, but almost nothing planned for 2017 outside of RE7?

That’s a big red flag for me

There’s a ton planned for 2017 and beyond, but obviously they are promoting the games coming out sooner.

Off the top of my head

    Gran Turismo Sport
    Dreams
    RE7
    Farpoint
    FFXIV
    Get Even
    Ace Combat 7
    Tekken 7
    SFV
    Modern Zombie
    Alien Isolation (rumor)
    Grave
    Ark
    CoD Jackal Assault
    Dead Secret
    P.O.L.L.O.N.

That’s just off the top of my head, but impressive nonetheless. GT Sport, Farpoint, Resident Evil 7, Ace Combat 7, Tekken 7 are all AAA.

Probably because everyone’s just getting their feet wet as far as development’s concerned.

Also, there’s likely to be plenty of VR-enabled titles scheduled to be out in 2017 but simply not announced yet.

This list *is* the launch window list. There are a ton more things coming. 50 games alone during the launch window.

Please bring Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes to regular PS4 too. The PC version does not require VR so I’m bummed that the PS4 version apparently will. I’m sure it’s cool with VR, but it shouldn’t be required.

Quick correction: Hatsune Miku Project DIVA X is available now, but the PSVR update isn’t to launch until the device does.

Also, Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is scheduled to be out October 14.

Sony, you are making a MISTAKE. You should have focused on QUALITY, CURATED experiences over QUANTITY. You chose quantity. A mistake. For the first year of PSVR, you should have blocked any indie game releases to the platform. You don’t want to leave new VR gamers overwhelmed and unimpressed. You should have made sure EVERY VR game was a very high quality, carefully chosen experience. Instead you seem to be throwing everything and the kitchen sink at it.

Farpoint is gonna be fantastic. June 2017 is the hold date. So it’s possible it’ll come out sooner. $80 for the Aim© controller bundle. Already put my money down.

Obviously you’ve not read any reviews on any of the ‘indie’ titles. Negative reviews for any PSVR game/experiences are very few & far between. In fact, I challenge you to find ONE negative review for any PSVR game experience.

Where are the good games? The line up looks like crap. A lot of crap! I can’t believe they are launching the VR with no good games! Looks like you’re playing on the GameCube. Could Sony not get anyone to produce a quality game. I was interested in buying one until I saw the games. That SUCKS! The VR will fail because of it! Who’s in charge at Sony?

Pretty sure I’m canceling my pre-order for it. I’ve opened my eyes a little more and thought about it. The tech is simply old… the PS Move is 6 years old, the Eye is 3 years old. This whole idea is just really old, but in a really shiny looking package.

For the time being, I’ve got a pre-order listed on eBay to see if I can make a little cash. If it doesn’t sell by the release time, I’m just canceling it.

I have Battlezone pre-ordered even though I haven’t been able to pre-order/buy the PSVR yet. I am also sold on Until Dawn game based on all the praising that game received from Jim Sterling in his review of the PSVR.

It is f**king INSANE, that over 90% of launch titles STILL can’t be preloaded, less than ONE WEEK from launch – not everyone has awesome internet, and I’m rapidly approaching a point in time where I’ll have a headset, and no f**king games to play on it.

Is anyone aware of an actual valid reason for Sony to be dragging their feet on this, or am I being crazy to think that they’re actively trying to get me to spend LESS money in their digital marketplace?

(And don’t even get me started regarding the lack of a dedicated PSVR section in the US store front – other countries have had that for weeks)

Seriously, WTF Sony?

anszbd1 said:

Thanks for the list, I think it’s even better than ps4 launch. When we’re able to preload, I want to have the game ready before my ps vr arrive.

No VR section when Europe has one?! This makes no sense. I need to start downloading because 100+ gb takes time to download

Wow this is an awesome list I had no idea Bound had VR support… one thing that’s bothered me though is how large this list is. So I’m curious Why there seems to be almost no emphasis or coverage on some VR titles. The titles I’ve seen that look the most promising seem to have no coverage accept for the Playstation Access youtube channel. They just put up a demo of a game called the assembly which looked like VR heavy rain (branching stories multiple endings yes please) and their coverage of Here they lie was not only quite amusing but it made me love the idea of a VR game that played with your surroundings. I think they were also one of the only sights to put up gameplay of Robinson: The Journey which looks like it’ll be incredible in VR. This close to launch and there are launch titles that seem to be getting no attention it really seems odd.

Daaaamm i didnt expect all that, thats s ton of games , half of them are tech denos/ indies but spart from 3 or 4 the rest look interesting enough, got the headset preordered, and first one after the demos is rigs fo sho, and im hoping japan jumps in with mobile suit vr stuff cuz i imagine zone of the enders on this and ill be shootin my social life in the face xD

I already had the bundle pre ordered and was very excited about October 13. I was able to demo Eve Valkyrie at GameStop a couple of days ago and now I am completely sold. That was my first VR experience and I can’t wait to get my hands on more. To all the haters I recommend that you try it. You can’t be told that it is good you have to experience it.

If anyone has been paying attention to the reviews for PSVR the 3 consistent issues that hinder the system are 1: This is the biggest issue the crappy move controls. PLEASE SONY TAKE HINT Release better motion controls. 2: The camera is very good at dissent lighting issues, but this I’ve heard some have issues others don’t, so I’ll see myself when it comes out, but I think this needs to be addressed as well with a new camera. 3: Short games. This of course I think will change soon and I know there is several full games that every reviewer seems to be ignoring in their reviews, but this is a must fix as well. Who wants to pay $500 for 10 minute experience and pay $20 per very short title.

So far there are zero games listed here that would even come close to enticing me to buy the vr gear. Disappointed that there are no rpg…or mmorpg for that matter, like castlevania Los, or skyrim, or ESO, etc. Hope they get here eventually, so I can revisit my purchase plans.
