It’s been a crazy year at Bungie. Not only did we launch a new game, but we saw a brand new community rally around it. We’ve had an amazing time welcoming you to the Tower, and fighting alongside you in public events. Even better, we got to meet some of you in real life – at E3, gamescom, or even the very first PlayStation Experience.
If you were one of the brave testers in the Destiny Beta, you might have had your first taste of competitive action in the Crucible. When Destiny launches on September 9th, you’ll have even more ways to prove your skill against other champions of the last safe city on Earth.
UPDATE: If you want to upgrade your PlayStation digital preorder of Destiny to the new Digital Guardian Edition, head to PlayStation Store and the price should reflect the difference. For those who haven’t preordered any digital version, you’ll see the full price of $89.99.
It’s Bungie Day. You want information. You want answers! You want the truth. Here goes…
Happy Bungie Day, PlayStation Nation. We’re thrilled to share in our annual celebration of community among gamers with some exciting news about Destiny. You’ve imagined yourselves in the boots of a Guardian, prowling the wild frontier in search of treasure and glory. The time for dreaming is almost over. The time to fight is at hand. The Destiny Beta is our chance to fill our brave new world with life and see how it holds up against the stampede.
Hey there, PlayStation Nation. I’m here from Bungie, to offer you another look into the world of Destiny. Very soon, you’ll have a chance to take your first steps into that world as a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth. We have a grand adventure planned for you, and we’re thrilled to be sharing another piece of it.
This has been a great year, and we’d like you to know that you’ve been a huge part of that. We’re about to close down our studio for a long winter’s nap. Before we go, we wanted to remind you that, of all the gifts we received in 2013, the chance to introduce our game to you was the sweetest.
