Fat Princess Fat Roles DLC (USD $4.99) unleashes Pirates, Ninjas and Giants (oh my!) into the world of Fat Princess. These three new character classes bring a whole new level of awesomeness to the frenzied 32-player battles alongside our beloved royal beauty.

After picking up the DLC, a new multi-class magic hat spawner will be activated in every level of Fat Princess. Pirates can call in cannon ball attacks, Ninjas can hide in the shadows to sneak through doors, and the all-mighty Giants can cause rumbling earthquakes and gain health by chomping on their enemies.

We’re also very happy to announce that Patch 1.06 activates the new Fat Princess Party feature!

Due to the overwhelming fan response, Patch1.06 delivers four-player same-console co-op for FREE to everyone who owns Fat Princess! Fans will be able to enjoy couch co-op in both online and offline games. Players will also be able to re-spawn at outposts, which adds a whole new level of co-op strategy to all gaming modes and levels.

And that’s not all. We’ve also included clan tags and password-protected games to make playing with your friends even more easy and fun.

And for those of you who have heard about the game, but have not yet sampled the cake…what are you waiting for? Go ahead and download the Full Fat Princess game on June 29 for just $14.99. We’ve seen pictures of people shoving cake in their mouths to win a code to be included in our initial online beta back in 2009. We’ve gasped in amazement at some truly epic battles captured from gameplay and posted on YouTube. And we’ve been graced with the beauty of fans donned in stunning Fat Princess cosplay.

So it got us thinking…who really is the biggest Fat Princess fan?

Our good friends over at Atomic Operations decided to pose that question at large, and are holding a contest starting today, Friday April 16, 2010. Show that YOU are the Biggest Fan of Fat Princess, and an AI character will be named after you in the next FP Patch Release.

P.S. Don’t forget about next week’s San Francisco Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake (PSP) tournament!

Today, March 25, we’ll be releasing Patch 1.05 which now includes *two* new FREE snow-themed maps called Frost Bite and Candy Mountain.

We know many people have wanted new maps, and we’re diligently trying to keep the community alive and together with these free maps. And for those of you who have heard about Fat Princess and – gasp! – have not yet played it, now is your chance to grab the game and you’ll get all of the original maps plus four additional maps for free!

We’ve also fixed a few issues recently brought to our attention:

• Warrior: Fixed to disallow shield activation when carrying objects, as well as attenuating damage against lava and drowning.
• Ice Mage: Changed level 1 area attack to slow enemies, not freeze them.
• Soccer map: Disabled online score saving for this level (sorry, all, but it was too easy to gain rank).

Last but certainly not least, we’re happy to announce that our beloved princess has a hot new suitor: Atomic Operations, a new developer based in Seattle, Washington. We have lots of exciting things underway, and all I can really say is “Yo ho ho and a slice of cake!” (nudge nudge wink wink) ;-)

We love our fans so much, that we’d like to kick off the New Year with something special just for you.

Tomorrow, January 21, we’ll be releasing Patch 1.04 which now includes a new, FREE city-themed map called Brownie Town.

We’ve also fixed an issue with the online rankings, so now the All-Time and Monthly scores for Team Deathmatch and Invasion have been swapped to post correctly.

It’s all of you who keep the Fat Princess community alive and well, and it means a lot to us. We recently saw some amazing displays of fan enthusiasm and support, and wanted to share with everyone:

Last week the good people over at Titan Studios announced on this here blog the completion and imminent release of Patch 1.03 and the highly anticipated Demo.

Alas, the time has come and we are pleased to announce that the patch and demo will be out on the PlayStation Network today.

In case you didn’t hear, Patch 1.03 contains a brand new map, New Pork, which we’re providing absolutely free. Yep, FREE. We’re extremely grateful to all the fans for their support of Fat Princess and we hope that many of you will spread the love and entice your friends who have not yet tried the game to give it a go.

We hope our beloved royal subject is only going to get bigger and better, and you all play a major part in making that happen. So thanks for your support, enjoy New Pork, and keep the feedback coming.

Fat Princess will be released simultaneously worldwide in N. America, Europe and Asia. A Japan release is also in the works, and we’ll have more information on that in weeks to come.
