The game received critical praise when it launched in the UK two weeks ago.
That’s right—for a limited time, the complete Vita MotorStorm RC game is available for download absolutely free – no additional purchases necessary! Not only that, but you’ll be able to drive a custom RC version of Scion’s iQ which is exclusive to the PS Vita version of the game. And be sure to check out the plethora of downloadable content which will become available for purchase for both versions of the game tomorrow.

MotorStorm RC features 16 unique tracks spread across four extreme environments, including the dusty desert mesas of Monument Valley, the dangerous jungles of a Pacific Island, the icy tundra at the Arctic Edge, and the apocalyptic ruins of a destroyed urban city. Players can conquer these environments in powerful radio-controlled vehicles, with hundreds of uniquely customized models to collect in 8 distinct categories: Buggies, Superminis, Rally Cars, Muscle Cars, Racing Trucks, Supercars, Big Rigs and Monster Trucks.

As you know, we asked the LittleBigPlanet community to use the objects they earned from playing our level to create their own Prius-themed levels, and the response was overwhelming.

The community has spoken, the judges have rendered a verdict, and we’re happy to announce the contest winners. Finalists, who have won a PlayStation Move Sports Champion bundle, include:

“Driving Test” by GoodDogPhoebe

And the Grand Prize winner is… “Eco Adventure” by rhansen2!

From the main menu screen that lets you select chapters, to the level checkpoints featuring miniature versions of the windmills from our Prius level, this three-part platformer is so polished that we wondered if we had accidentally downloaded a level directly from developer Media Molecule! After some great action sequences utilizing the Grabinator and Paintinator in an outdoor environment and a futuristic Toyota factory, you’ll eventually make your way into the very heart of the gigantic Gas Hog — an evil swine robot bent on polluting Craftworld! The level works well as either a single-player or multiplayer experience, and it speaks to the Prius’s message of harmony between man, machine and the environment. Add hidden items and even an LBP-ized 3D TV for a level prize, and we think you’ll agree that “Eco Adventure” is something special. The creator, Rhansen2, has earned himself a 46” Sony Bravia 3D HDTV and a PlayStation Move hardware bundle for his effort. Congratulations!

If you haven’t done so already, download and play Eco Adventure and all the other contest winners inside LittleBigPlanet 2 today. A free dynamic theme based upon our “LittleBigPrius” level is also available for download from the PlayStation Store.

Thanks to everyone who played our level and entered the “LittleBigPrius” contest!

Sony make.believe brings you “The LittleBigCreation,” which gives the community the chance to vote on every aspect of a new, custom-created make.believe level.

Here’s what you need to do to let your voice be heard:

Visit the Facebook.com/Sony page and click on the “Make Games” tab. Each week, you’ll be voting on design elements including genre, environment, characters, storyline, music and name. Each week, Sony make.believe will be giving away great prizes such as a PlayStation 3, PlayStation Move and more…just for voting! So make sure to come back to the Facebook.com/Sony page each week to get a glimpse of the level as it is being created and for more chances to win. If you are chosen as the Grand Prize winner, you’ll win a trip to this year’s E3 in Los Angeles.

And, of course, when the contest ends on March 31, you can download and play the make.believe level within LittleBigPlanet 2 to see just how Sony make.believe helped turn your ideas into reality.

As we mentioned earlier, this level is the focal point for a “create your own level” contest which officially begins today. Play our “LittleBigPrius” level to collect prize bubble items, and use these items to create your own Prius-inspired level. When you publish your level to the world, be sure to name it “Prius_ …” so that it will be easy for everyone to find.

Make sure that you get your level built and published prior to the conclusion of the contest at midnight on March 8th. That’s when we’ll take a close look at the 10 most popular levels, as determined by the LittleBigPlanet community. We’ll be judging these levels based upon originality, quality and polish, Toyota Prius brand awareness, and use of the items obtained from our “LittleBigPrius” level. From these finalists, we’ll pick a Grand Prize winner of a 46” Sony Bravia 3D HDTV and PlayStation Move hardware bundle. We’ll also select four First Place winners of a PlayStation Move Sports Champions bundle.

Read up on the full contest details here. And good luck!

When Toyota Prius let us know they were interested in working with LittleBigPlanet 2, we knew that their emphasis on harmony between man, machine and the environment was a good fit for Sackboy’s world. As gamers, we also knew that we could do something clever that the community would enjoy. So, together, we developed a LBP2 level called “LittleBigPrius”, which will be the focal point of an upcoming “create your own level” contest.

LittleBigPlanet 2 was just released to stores this week, so here’s your chance to get your creative juices flowing and win something big. How big? We’re talking a 46” Sony Bravia 3D HDTV…that’s how big!

If you are already familiar with LittleBigPlanet 2, you’ll know that its appeal doesn’t come just from the on-disc single and multi-player experience (which are fabulous), but also from the ability to create your own games. Our “LittleBigPrius” level is just one of the endless variety of games which will be created by the community.

“LittleBigPrius” consists of a traditional platforming section (with puzzles, of course!) followed by a top-down driving portion made possible by LBP2’s new tools. Along the way, you’ll be able to collect a number of items which you can then use to create your own levels. That’s where the contest comes in! We want you to use these collected items, and anything else your clever little minds can come up with, to create your own Prius-inspired LBP2 level. Be sure to name your level “Prius_[Your Level Name Here]” so that it can be easily located (and, no, we don’t want you to actually use the words “Your Level Name Here” unless that’s the best you can come up with… in which case, a contest based upon creativity is probably not for you).

When the contest officially begins, publish your level online so that members of the LBP community will have a chance to play and comment upon it. Most importantly, they’ll be able to “heart” it if they really like it. When the contest ends, the ten highest-ranked levels, as chosen by the community, will be selected as our finalists. From these finalists, SCEA will choose one Grand Prize winner and four First Prize winners on the basis of originality, quality/polish, Toyota Prius brand awareness, and use of the items obtained from our LittleBigPrius level. The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a 46” Sony Bravia 3D HDTV and a PlayStation Move hardware bundle which includes a PlayStation 3 system, the PlayStation Eye camera, PlayStation Move motion controller and Sports Champions game. The four First Place winners will receive a PlayStation Move Sports Champions bundle, consisting of the game, the PlayStation Eye camera and a PlayStation Move motion controller.

Please be sure that you have a valid e-mail address associated with your PSN ID, since that is how we will be contacting the winners. Check back on the Blog and PlayStation.com for full details when we announce the release of the “LittleBigPrius” level and the start of the contest coming soon.

Hey PAIN fans, there’s a new rag-doll in town. Starting today Sony Computer Entertainment America and AXE will be introducing the first ever AXE-branded virtual video game character in the form of “Smooth Jarvis.” Smooth Jarvis will come enabled with two Double Pits to Chesty (DPTC) themed moves that mimic the signature motions involved in applying AXE deodorant bodyspray for men. You’ve seen the moves before–under both arm pits and across the chest — now here’s your chance to use them to your advantage.

Combine these moves successfully with any of the eight original standard PAIN moves and not only will you earn classic points and trophies, you’ll also rack up some bonus points to help take that final score to the next level!

The fun won’t end there though. Keep practicing those moves because it may just earn you bragging rights for your favorite combo as part of a four-week PAIN contest. Players will be able to use PAIN’s in-game video capture feature to capture and post your favorite combination to your YouTube account, putting you in the running to win a host of cool prizes.

Contestants with the best moves have the chance to win prizes that range from a one-of-a-kind custom “Smooth Jarvis” collectible character action figure to a brand new 42” Sony HDTV to enjoy PAIN and other favorite PS3 games on. Contest starts September 1st and runs through September 30th.

Keep an eye out here and in the game for more details on how you can use the Double Pits to Chesty move to score more than just a fresh scent and the attention of the people around you!
