The Store Update is now live and ready for you to check out all the latest content. We’ve got some great games this week, but here are some of the featured items you may want to get to first. The complete update list can be found below.
It’s no secret that this week sees the release of one of the biggest games of the year: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Starting today, you can start using Call of Duty ELITE, a premium membership specifically for the Call of Duty series. ELITE helps you elevate your multiplayer game, whether you’re new to the frantic battlegrounds, or a bona fide veteran of the series. Today is also the day Square Enix’s “Winter of RPG’s” kicks off starting with Chrono Cross. Journey through two parallel dimensions in a remarkable quest featuring a huge cast of characters, an engaging battle system, and one of the greatest original soundtracks of any game. If you missed it before, you’ll want to experience it this Winter.

Happy UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception Day! It’s not an official holiday (maybe someday), but as many PlayStation 3 fans know, today is the day that one of the biggest releases in gaming hits stores; and you get can even more out of it on PlayStation Network.
Some of you may have already gotten the jump on the Fortune Hunters’ Club (downloadable from the PlayStation Store) which entitles you to the first four multiplayer map packs, as well as the first three multiplayer skin packs. To celebrate the release of Uncharted 3, those 3 multiplayer skins are now available to download! Fortune Hunters’ Club folks are able to grab these skins now for free! If you haven’t purchased Fortune Hunters’ Club, you can still purchase access to it to save over 45% on Uncharted 3 DLC; or if you prefer, you always have the option to purchase the multiplayer skins individually, or in packs.

It’s the final week of celebrating Only On PSN with the release of 2 exclusive PSN titles: inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood and PixelJunk SideScroller! Don’t forget that this is also the last week that you can purchase these, or any other content from the Store to go towards the $60 threshold to receive $10 back in November.
inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood delivers a darker adventure for Cole; complete with new powers, (did we mention he flies?) a new look for the city of New Marais, and access to the complete suite of User Generated Content tools. This downloadable inFAMOUS adventure is standalone and doesn’t require you to have previous inFAMOUS titles to play it.

This week continues to make it easy to spend the $60 in October to get $10 back in November as part of Only On PSN with the release of Okabu and Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken. Download Okabu and quest solo or co-op with a friend to return peace to the lands. With an unforgettable cast of whimsical characters, Okabu delivers a PSN physics toybox world from the talented folks over at Handcircus. Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken explores the other end of the spectrum with a cinematic 2D adventure, wrapped with amazing art and music to make for an unforgettable experience. It’s a special day for movie lovers as the Video Unlimited – preview app is now available to everyone! Check out this new and improved way to browse, watch, and discover movies and TV shows on the network.
This week sees the release of an amazing PSN exclusive: Sideway: New York. Part of Only On PSN and featuring some of the most breath-taking artwork to hit the 2D world; Sideway: New York follows Nox, a graffiti artist in NY, who’s found himself sucked into the world where he lives alongside his own art. With a fantastic use of color and eye-popping HD visuals, you won’t want to miss this PSN exclusive. PlayStation Plus subscribers can also get this title 20% off as part of Only On PSN.

As announced yesterday, Only On PSN will be bringing 8 exclusive titles throughout the month of October. Rochard is already available, but this week brings Eufloria, an ethereal journey into an ambient universe where you control the destiny of an intergalactic garden. Relax with the Chilled mode, or give Dark Matter mode a try to go more on the offensive. It’s a strategy game like none other, and it’s Only On PSN. As with all titles of Only On PSN, Eufloria is 20% off for PlayStation Plus subscribers for its first week in the Store.
