We have a ton of entertainment in store for The Tester 3, and with the season premiere only three weeks away on Tuesday, February 7, we thought it’s a great time to give you a sneak peek at some of the action you’ll be seeing all season long in this short trailer. Take a look at the above video!
We’ve also prepared a longer, more in-depth 3:00 minute version that just debuted on an updated official site, which you can view here. As always, you can acquaint yourself with the entire cast, panelists, and special guests on our main site.
Last week, we introduced the twelve gamers who will compete against one another for a coveted Production Associate position at SCEA’s Santa Monica Studio. If you watched the cast introduction video, you met the eclectic group: from ninjanomyx’s freestyle rapping skills to Suzkaiden’s passionate desire to work at PlayStation. We also introduced our returning panelists from last season: reality TV star Adrianne Curry is back with Brent Gocke, senior release manager from SCEA, and host Meredith Molinari.
In addition to our returning panelists, we’re bringing in a star-studded list of game industry professionals, who will test the contestants over a broad range of skills necessary to make it in the business and, most of all, whether they deserve a shot at the grand prize. We have a great line-up of panelists and special guests, including:
• John Garvin – Game Director, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Director, Product Development, Sony Bend Studio
• David Jaffe – Co-Director “Twisted Metal” and Co-Founder of Eat Sleep Play
PlayStation Network’s original, competitive reality series “The Tester” is back, and the premiere episode is set for February 7, 2012!
We’re excited to announce the lineup of 12 gamers who will appear on Season 3 and compete for a job as a Production Associate at Sony Computer Entertainment America’s world-famous Santa Monica Studio, home of PlayStation’s best-selling God Of War franchise, along with a $5,000 signing bonus, a 55” 3D Bravia TV, a PS3 and a Ford Focus Titanium. From San Bernardino to Brooklyn to the Dominican Republic (and many stops in between), here are “The Tester 3” contestants (see video above).
As 2011 draws to a close, join Christina Lee for a look back at some of the year’s most memorable games. From Sackboy’s return in LittleBigPlanet 2 to Nathan Drake’s epic adventure in UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, this year was one of the biggest in recent memory. From the big shooters like Killzone 3 and Battlefield 3 to surprises such as PSN exclusives Eufloria and inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood, the year also included a dramatic redesign of PlayStation Home and a beautiful compilation of the beloved Ico & Shadow of the Colossus collection. We know this only scratches the surface and there’s plenty of titles PULSE didn’t have time to mention, but we hope you enjoy a walk through another amazing year for our industry.
And, remember you can watch the full edition of PULSE from the ‘What’s New’ section on your XMB later today when the PlayStation Store updates.
While most of us are using December to catch up on all the huge game releases this holiday season, the December episode of Qore is looking forward to 2012. And, in anticipation of the new year, we’re very excited to kick off a new era for Qore with both a new host and new correspondent. Please welcome Qore’s new host Jesse Blaze Snider and new field correspondent Tiffany Smith.
Jesse jumps right into the giant sequel Final Fantasy XIII-2. With time travel, new fight mechanics, and new characters joining the old cast, XIII-2 expands an already epic storyline.
If you’re into weapon-based fighting (who isn’t?), then you’ll definitely want to check out the Qore preview of Soul Calibur V. Meet old and new characters such as Assassin’s Creed’s very own Ezio Auditore making his fighting game debut. And, check out the ‘create-a-fighter’ tools.
With the holiday shopping season counting down, Christina Lee takes a look at some of the must-have custom PlayStation 3 peripherals perfect for gift giving (to yourself). From the new official Media/ Blu-ray Disc Remote Control to the much talked about PlayStation 3D Display, use today’s show to pass along any last minute shopping hints to the ones you love.
This edition also takes a look at two new full game downloads available from the PlayStation Store with Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and Dragon Age II. Both, now part of the growing line up of full games on the store. Also covered, for Battlefield 3 fans, don’t miss the Return to Karkand Expansion Pack coming later today (first on PS3) and a preview of action/puzzle/platformer fairytale of Trine 2.
