Last week we released two behind-the-scenes videos that provided an intimate look at the Guerrilla Games studio and Killzone Shadow Fall’s PS4-powered technology. This week we continue where we left off with two brand new behind-the-scenes videos that focus on Killzone Shadow Fall’s story and characters.
On planet Vekta, where rival Helghast and Vektan factions are living side by side under an uneasy truce, the answer depends entirely on who you ask. To Chancellor Visari, leader of the displaced Helghast people, the Vektans are aggressors that must be kept in check by whatever means necessary. To Vektan Security Agency Director Sinclair, the biggest threat to peace is the very presence of the Helghast people.
We’re pulling out all the stops for Killzone Shadow Fall’s multiplayer, and we already have several forms of downloadable content planned for extensive post-launch multiplayer support. In addition to new competitive multiplayer maps – which, as we mentioned before, will be released for free – we’re also working on paid expansion packs that will further enhance your online experience.
In Killzone: Shadow Fall, being a Shadow Marshal is all about dominating the flow of combat and fighting on your own terms. Your OWL combat drone gives you enormous freedom in choosing how each fight plays out.
Killzone: Mercenary is scheduled for a September 17, 2013 release in North America. We also have a brand-new trailer for you to enjoy:
Killzone: Mercenary is a new first-person shooter in the Killzone series, developed specifically for the PlayStation Vita platform and powered by the stunning Killzone engine. Starting just after the ending of the original Killzone, and revisiting many of the events from the Killzone trilogy, the game puts players in the rugged combat boots of a mercenary named Arran Danner. Danner is a former UCA-soldier who has no qualms about taking on paid contracts from the ISA as well as the Helghast.
