You know that feeling when you’re at home totally ready to jump into a game? So you look through your games library and you think to yourself man, I really want to play this action-packed, real-time game! Wait, no, actually I’m feeling this thoughtful, turn-based strategy game. What to do? Why can’t I have both?
We’re a big fan of stealth games here at Curve Digital. Metal Gear Solid, Thief, Splinter Cell, the Hitman series… all hold places in our hearts.
Today I’ve got the honor of announcing a brand new title that we’re developing for PlayStation in 2015. It’s called Nova-111 (pronounced “Nova-one-eleven” if you were curious), and it’s something very special. We fell in love with the game the very first time we played an early preview version, and we think it’s going to be a perfect fit as an accessible but challenging puzzle game on PS4 and PS Vita.
Here at Curve we’ve had the pleasure of bringing a variety of games to PlayStation in the last two years, made by a great mix of different indie developers. Thomas Was Alone was the very first of those games, and its ubiquitous creator Mike Bithell was the first indie developer who we got in touch with.
We initially started work on The Swapper way back in Christmas when the weather outside our London office was cold and miserable, and days were short and dark Now the sun is shining, spirits are up and we’re set to release our 9th indie title and one we are incredibly proud of having brought to PlayStation formats.
We always planned MouseCraft on PS Vita to be an accessible, well designed, gameplay-driven game, but the most eye-catching aspect is definitely our main character – he is the star of our newly released trailer and he is visible in the background of every level available in the game. Meet Schrödinger, our crazy cat scientist.
