In inFAMOUS Second Son, your gameplay style and moral choices influence your superhuman powers in profound ways. If you’re a goodie two-shoes when using your Neon powers, you’ll be able to briefly slow time while zooming in for precise shots — crucial for pegging foes in their legs and immobilizing them.
inFAMOUS Second Son is almost here! An interview with Sucker Punch co-founder Chris Zimmerman is the highlight of this week’s show, followed by bountiful Dark Souls II and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes discussions. See you next week at GDC!
The Order’s first gameplay footage takes us to the London district of Whitechapel, a hive of scum and villainy that nonetheless looks sumptuous thanks to the game’s rich, saturated environment lighting. Galahad, Lafayette and the rest of The Order also look stunning, with agonizingly detailed costumes and eerily lifelike facial details that rival the pre-rendered CG cutscenes seen in many other games.
Safely tucked at the end of this week’s show is our long-awaited spoilercast for The Last of Us: Left Behind, with Naughty Dogs Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann discussing the creative process and challenges in developing a downloadable follow-up to the 2013 game of the year.
Turtle Rock’s co-op/competitive shooter hybrid Evolve is coming to PS4 this fall and we’ve bagged us a big one — an interview with Turtle Rock co-founder Phill Robb! Then catch up on TowerFall Ascension and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in two new developer interviews, plus next week’s releases.
Though the slimmer, lighter PS Vita — and its upcoming North American release — was squarely in the spotlight of this week’s PlayStation Showcase, PS4 wasn’t left behind. Today, I caught up with Sony Computer Entertainment America Marketing Vice President John Koller for a status check on PS4’s global rollout – an especially relevant topic, with the Japanese PS4 debut less than two weeks away.
On this week’s show, we highlight next week’s massive PlayStation Store bounty, running through Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Danganronpa to TxK on PS Vita, as well as more Dark Souls and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition talk.
