One of the most important things to know about Infinifactory is that it’s not just a puzzle game — it’s an open-ended puzzle game. Unlike a typical puzzle game, where each puzzle has a single solution that you’re trying to uncover, every puzzle in Infinifactory has countless solutions, each with different strengths and weaknesses.
One of my favorite television shows is How It’s Made. There’s something hypnotically satisfying about watching an assembly line repeat the same precise actions over and over again, assembling seemingly random components into a recognizable, finished product. In fact, I’m such a fan of assembly lines that we made a puzzle game about building factories called Infinifactory, and it’s coming soon to PS4!
One of the problems with making a game about the American Civil War is that it’s fairly boring, at least compared to other video game themes. However, I believe that we have solved that problem, through the addition of massive, steam-powered automatons designed for a single purpose: WAR!
