Suit up! You can finally climb aboard the GALAK-Z as it launches today! If we’ve been lucky enough to have you following us, you already know that GALAK-Z is an homage to our anime dreams. Piloting your prototypical craft is equally fun to fly as it is to transform into a mech and slash your way through an onslaught of wiley enemies. Procedural missions and music, extensive combinations of upgrades and passives, intelligent warring factions surrounded by a living and hostile environment all come together into a rogue-lite wrapped in the construct of a Saturday morning cartoon. And bringing all of this to life takes the help and talent of many different folks. We’d like to pay homage to them in this launch day blog post.
Hey kid! You wanna hear a secret? Because, friends, we’ve been saving a juicy one for a long time now…
Anime enthusiasts inevitably ask when they see the game, “So… can you turn into a mech?” And we always respond with, “Oh man! That would be cool!” Well, guess what?
It’s been a long road for us at 17-BIT getting Skulls of the Shogun out the door – and we hope you’re ready for what’s set to be the ultimate version of the fast-paced, turn-based strategy game: The Bone-a-Fide Edition, finally coming to PlayStation 4!
We here at 17-BIT are ecstatic to announce we’ll be bringing the same seat-of-your-pants space shooting gameplay of Galak-Z to PS Vita. Since each game of Galak-Z is a unique, randomly-generated adventure, you’ll be able to dive deep into a fresh experience anytime you have a free moment, no matter where you are.
The very definition of “shooter” has changed greatly over the past decades – what once described classic 16-bit arcade space shooters now refers to modern first-person tactical combat shooters. We at 17-BIT want to merge the best of both worlds for an all-new type of adventure!
