With Spelunky finally making its glorious PS4 debut last month – hopefully you were able to grab it free in PlayStation Plus while it lasted! – there are more explorers than ever plumbing the depths of the jungle, battling incensed shopkeepers, and dying in an endless cavalcade of unexpected and hilarious ways.
Thanks to the hard work of BlitWorks and Sony, Spelunky is coming to PS4 on October 7th! I’ve updated most of the textures so that the game looks nice and crisp in 1080p, and you can now upload replays of your high scores to the leaderboards. Also, there’s a new feature for the Daily Challenge: friend ghosts!
For the past two months, PlayStation Plus members have received a couple games free the day they hit the PlayStation Store, and this time we’re besting ourselves by offering three! Yep, this month Dust: An Elysian Tail (PS4), Spelunky (PS4) and Pix the Cat (PS Vita) will debut on the Store as well as in PlayStation Plus.
Hello PlayStation fans! We held an awesome event at our offices yesterday, and in case you missed some of our new game announcements I wanted to round them up for you below. Also note that all of these titles will be making their console debut on PlayStation platforms.
Hello, past, present, and future Spelunky fans! I’ll keep it short and simple: Spelunky is coming to PS4!
We’re once again teaming up with BlitWorks, who did a great job on bringing the game to PS3 and PS Vita. For PS4, we want to do even more — like bump up the graphics to 1080p, let players upload replays to the leaderboards, add more social features to the Daily Challenge, and otherwise take advantage of the PS4’s unique hardware.
Hey, everyone! It’s Derek once again. First off, thank you for your tremendous support of Spelunky on PS3 and PS Vita. But I’m really here to talk about our first update, which is out now. Of course, every game launches with some number of bugs, and Blitworks has been working hard to fix as many of those as possible. The slowdown in certain areas of the game was probably the biggest issue, and that’s been addressed. They also fixed a bug that was preventing certain Trophies from being earned.
