Honored HELLDIVERS, With your help and determination the first Galactic War was won, then the enemies of freedom retaliated and we were forced to find a new home. New Super-Earth is safe… for now.
Greetings, Helldivers. As a civilian, you made the most important decision of your life by enlisting in the Helldivers. As a Helldiver, you made Liberty… Democracy… and the protection of Super-Earth your personal responsibility.
With a game of Helldivers going, shouts, curses, and laughter are never far behind. Arrowhead’s top-down shooter is coming to PS4, PS3, and PS Vita this Summer, bolstered by brutally difficult missions and gratifying multiplayer design. This is a game about outfitting an elite squad, dropping into procedurally-generated battlefields, and fighting to survive. The high level of challenge and the “always-on” friendly fire make victory all the sweeter.
Helldivers marries real-life laughter and video game death better than it should. Within ten minutes of top-down mayhem, my team and I were mauled by a wild praying mantis, trampled by beetles, evaporated by ordinance, and crushed by our own orbital supply pod. And we couldn’t stop laughing along the way. This absurdly entertaining co-op shooter is coming to PS3, PS4, and PS Vita later this year, courtesy of Swedish developer Arrowhead Games.
Hey there, Johan from Arrowhead here. I’m excited to give you an update on how Helldivers is coming along since our announcement at Gamescom in August. For those of you who haven’t seen much of the game – Helldivers is a top-down, twin stick shooter set in a dystopian world, coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita this year.
You may know of Arrowhead Game Studios from our previous games like Magicka and today we’re excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Sony Computer Entertainment and Foster City Studios to create our next game! So, for all of you out there, both new fans and old, I give you HELLDIVERS. Built for both single-player campaigns and up to four player co-op missions, HELLDIVERS is a top-down shooter set in a satirical and dystopian future where mankind is ruled by a managed democracy.
