During Gamescom, I was very pleased to meet with Bungie’s David “DeeJ” Dague, who was kind enough to answer questions about Destiny — the studio’s keenly anticipated project. We covered a number of topics, including item customization, class types, weapons, and details on how multiplayer will work.
Hey, PlayStation fans. It’s awesome to be at Gamescom this week. For the first time ever, we’re showing off live demos of Destiny at an event that’s open to everyone! Since our new action game is more fun when it’s experienced with other people, it makes all the sense in the world to welcome gamers to explore the frontier with us. If you weren’t able to make it to the convention, we have no intention of leaving you behind. This week, we’re delving deeper into the details for how you’ll become legend in Destiny. This video helps us tell that story.
We’re incredibly excited to be at E3 this year to reveal Destiny gameplay for the first time. We hope you like what you see. If you want more, check out the official Destiny gameplay trailer, and stay tuned for more information in the weeks and months to come!
At Bungie, we’re all hard at work gearing up for the big show in June, but we didn’t want to leave you empty-handed heading into E3. To whet your appetite for Destiny’s gameplay reveal on June 10th, we’re releasing a CG/live action trailer that features three Guardians in action. This spot, titled “Law of the Jungle,” was created in collaboration with director Jon Favreau, actor Giancarlo Esposito, and visual effects house Digital Domain.
Earlier this week, we officially announced that Destiny would be shipping on PlayStation 3. Tonight, from the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, we stood on a Sony Computer Entertainment stage for the very first time and shared a simple message with PlayStation fans around the world.
Destiny is being developed for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, with both versions available at Destiny’s launch. Even better, the PlayStation versions of Destiny will feature exclusive in-game content, only available on PlayStation.
We’re thrilled to share this moment with you. It’s been a long time coming. We’re looking forward to sharing even more in the months ahead.
