Since Destiny’s launch in September, Guardians on PlayStation have enjoyed an expanding host of exclusive co-op Strikes, Crucible maps, exotic weapons (including the dreaded Hawkmoon), and more.
Welcome back to PlayStation Underground, our online show about video games! Today, we go underground with Destiny: House of Wolves, the latest expansion to Bungie’s sweeping, sci-fi opus. Specifically, we gear up and enter the brutal Prison of Elders, a wave-based arena mode that pits Guardians against voracious enemies in exchange for legendary rewards.
In addition to upgrading the game’s popular competitive mode, Destiny’s next expansion aims to flesh out the backstory of The Fallen, the dastardly alien race that have claimed many of mankind’s abandoned strongholds following the appearance of The Darkness.
With House of Wolves, Bungie aims to bring a bigger, more rewarding competitive experience to Destiny. In addition to three new Crucible maps (plus an exclusive fourth map for PS4 and PS3 owners), Bungie is shaking up the formula with more loot and more activities for high-level players.
