PlayStation Nation. Are you ready for Extra Life? The friendly folks from the PlayStation.Blog team certainly are, as they’re hosting a pre-Extra Life event kicking off Friday, October 24th at 10:00 AM Pacific.
On November 2nd, 2013, thousands of PlayStation community members helped raise more than $4,000,000 for sick and injured kids at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America. Together with gamers from around the world, we successfully raised more funds for these kids with Extra Life in 2013, than in the entire 5-year history of the event COMBINED.
Today is a huge day for children’s hospitals across North America, as our 6th Annual Extra Life main event begins at 8am. For 25 hours we will celebrate the social impact of gamers who have been fundraising for their local CMN Hospitals. And you’ll be able to watch it all live.
Extra Life is a gaming event benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a nonprofit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals and the medical treatment, programs and charitable care that is provided to kids in their communities. For years, Extra Life has motivated gamers across the U.S. and Canada to drive donations to their local member children’s hospital, and this year, PlayStation is joining their efforts.
