flOw Like You’ve Never Heard It Before

I have a cool treat for fans of flOw! Ever since completing the original score for the game (shockingly, already more than 2 years ago!!!) it was my dream to adapt the music for live performance by an orchestra. Obviously the in-game music was entirely electronic, with the exception of choral voices, but I had an idea floating around my brain (somewhat resembling the jelly fish, careening out of control after spinning too quickly) for how to handle an adaptation.

Well, the opportunity finally came thanks to Steven Allen Fox and the Golden State Pops Orchestra based here in Los Angeles. On May 16 they performed an all game music concert featuring scores to Afrika, God of War (the Guitar Hero rendition), Final Fantasy VII, World of Warcraft and others. I was proud to feature flOw in that lineup and later cut together a little video combining the concert footage with some in-game footage. I hope you enjoy it!!!

flOw PSP Out Tomorrow

Hey everyone, some of you may already know me from my trolling around the PS3 Downloadable Games forum here, but for those that don’t, I’m the associate producer on a few of the PSN titles such as Blast Factor, flOw, and Everyday Shooter.

Today however, I’m here to tell you the great news that flOw for the PSP is right around the corner, releasing Thursday on the PSN Store. The folks over a SuperVillain have done an awesome job recreating flOw on the PSP, keeping it true to its roots. Rather than use a bunch of flowery words to describe the game, I’d much prefer to let the game speak for itself. We hope you enjoy!

P.S. Make sure you try out ad hoc mode with your friends. =]

Coming to PSP: Go with the flOw

Hello flOw fans! We here at SuperVillain Studios are excited to finally let the cat out of the bag and announce that flOw will indeed be released for the PSP on March 6th via the PLAYSTATION Store for PC.

With great support from thatgamecompany, we’ve been able to reconstruct and faithfully preserve the unique experience of flOw on Sony’s premier handheld device.

Our focus was to ensure that the sights, sounds, and feel of the game met the highest of standards for the platform. We’re confident that you’ll all enjoy this new entry into the ever-evolving flOw universe. Enjoy the trailer below.
