Next year, we have even bigger things in store for Rocket League, with a number of exciting announcements already planned to appear over the next several months. As always, we will continue to support the game as aggressively as we can, with new content, new modes, new DLC, new Arenas, and plenty of other cool things to keep you coming back and happy in 2016.
Before we sign off for the year, we wanted to celebrate the creators who make not only PlayStation.Blog, but this industry in its entirety possible. It’s these studios who create the worlds we yearn to escape to, who write the stories upon whose every word we hang. It’s thanks to them that we can do what we love to do.
It’s been the most amazing year of my life. In January 2014, Axiom Verge was a hobby project I’d been working on nights and weekends for almost four years. By April it was picked up by the PlayStation Pub Fund, then in June it won best of E3 awards, and in September Nintendo’s former indie boss came on to personally make sure it would be a success.
Thanks for the overwhelming support we’ve received this year from our loyal community and PlayStation fans around the world. We’ve had a helluva (terrible joke #1) time this year! Ever since we first revealed Saints Row: Gat out of Hell at PAX Prime, we’ve been humbled by the reception and feedback that it’s received at events around the country and world.
What a year for us. Not everyone knows this, but at Switchblade Monkeys we’re a tiny group of friends — our game started as a passion project. Secret Ponchos just launched earlier this month, and we felt so proud to see it on PS4 (with players able to grab it for free on PS Plus!).
