Season’s greetings from Japan.
2013 has been a very busy year for Japan Studio. We launched four titles this year, including my own Puppeteer. So we’re all looking forward to a few well-deserved days off. Although you might be surprised to hear that, here in Japan, we don’t get Christmas off. The 25th of December is just a normal working day.
As perhaps you can imagine, it’s been an incredibly busy year here at PlayStation. Duly, just before everyone signed off for a few days of well-earned festive respite, I spoke to a number of key figures from SCEE, Sony Worldwide Studios and our partners in the indie world, to find out what their highlights of the past 12 months were, and what they have planned for 2014.
With 2014 fast approaching and the holidays in full swing, we, the humble dudes and dudettes that make up Aksys Games, would like to wish everyone a happy holidays and safe new year. 2013 has been a great year for us, and we have our ardent fans to thank. It’s because of you, who are willing to go the extra mile and experience new styles of gaming, that we continue to thrive. As we head into 2014, let’s take a look at what’s been going on, as well as what’s to come.
Hello to all the PlayStation.Blog readers! This is Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
It’s been very busy this year, as Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has already launched last month in Japan. But the team here is currently working hard to make sure the game is available in the United States without a hitch on February 11th, 2014.
While the Driveclub team continues to work hard to create an outstanding racing game for you and your friends to enjoy in 2014, we’re taking a moment to thank you all. We wish you well for the holidays, because your support and enthusiasm have kept us fired up all year.
This year has been insanely awesome. I can’t put it any other way. It started with the release of Star Wars Pinball, and hasn’t slowed down since. Sometimes I still can’t believe how fortunate we are that we’re able to work with so many super talented people and brands, as well as create our own unique titles — it’s beyond amazing!
We just wanted to take the time to thank you, our fans, for such an incredible year. Looking back now, Zen Studios has been publishing on PSN for almost five years. Your support has helped us come so far, and we really want to say THANK YOU.
2013 has been an absolutely phenomenal year for all of us here at Guerrilla Games, from launching Killzone Mercenary – the go-to shooter on the PS Vita – to the honor of launching Killzone Shadow Fall alongside PS4 this November with unprecedented love and affection from fans old and new.
It’s that jolly time of the year, when the whole family gathers around the fireplace, fibrillating in anticipation of the long-awaited unwrapping ceremony, with the secret hope of finding a majestic PS4 (or better yet, a majestic PS4 AND a Playstation Plus subscription) instead of a boring wool sweater. Why, you ask? Because Resogun, that’s why!
